Fans of Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar have a special treat in store, as it has been confirmed that Akshaye Khanna’s popular character will return in the sequel, set to release on March 19.
A source close to the production revealed, “We know Rehman Dakait died in the first film. But the popularity and demand for Akshaye’s character are so high that he is being revived. He will appear in a flashback sequence of around 15 minutes.”
The additional footage featuring Akshaye Khanna is scheduled to be shot in February. The source assured that this change in plan will not affect the March 19 release date. “Akshaye has already agreed to shoot in February, and his scenes will be integrated into Dhurandhar 2 well ahead of the release.”
Interestingly, despite significantly increasing his fee after the success of the first film, Akshaye Khanna has agreed to participate in the sequel without charging anything, highlighting his commitment to the character and the franchise.

IT Minister Lokesh has revealed that the world’s largest green ammonia project, AM Green, is set to come up in the Kakinada region of Andhra Pradesh. This landmark initiative will feature a 1.5 MTPA green ammonia export terminal, powered by approximately 7.5 GW of renewable energy and 1 GW of pumped hydro storage—a historic first for India.
The project aims to export green ammonia to international markets such as Germany, Singapore, and Japan, effectively positioning India as a key player in the global green energy value chain. With a total investment of $10 billion (around ₹90,000 crore), AM Green is expected to generate over 8,000 high-quality jobs, making it the second-largest investment in Andhra Pradesh after the Google project in Vizag.
Minister Lokesh emphasized that the project will not only strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s leadership in renewable energy but also significantly boost the state’s investment climate. The announcement, made during the Sankranti season, has been widely hailed as a transformative step for the state’s industrial and sustainable energy landscape.
