Senior Hero Demanding 20 Crores For A Film!
When a hero gets two hits in a row, it has become mandatory to hike his remuneration. It looks like senior hero Nandamuri Balakrishna is following the same route. The ‘Simha’ hero faced a lot of flops till 2021 but he came back to form with ‘Akhanda’. This movie directed by Boyapati Sreenu turned out to be the biggest hit of Balayya till date.
He recently arrived with ‘Veera Simha Reddy’ during the Sankranti season. Sources say that he took 10 crores for this film and this movie which was directed by Gopichandh Malineni became a decent success. Mythri Movie Makers who bankrolled this project got benefitted as it earned nearly 80 crores. Including the non-theatrical rights, the movie earned around 120 crores.
As per recent reports, the star hero is demanding 20 crores for his next film with Anil Ravipudi and the makers are reportedly okay with it. It is Balayya’s 108th film and people are curious to see what kind of movie comes from this combination. Sources say that Kajal Agarwal is going to be the heroine in this flick while Sreeleela plays a crucial role.
Shine Screen banner is going to bankroll this project and senior actor Sharath Kumar is playing a key role in it. Anil Ravipudi is reportedly working very hard to showcase Balakrishna in a powerful role that will please the masses. Reports suggest that there is another heroine in the film and it is Anjali with whom Balayya romanced already in ‘Dictator’. Thaman delivered big time for ‘Akhanda’ and ‘Veera Simha Reddy’ for Balayya and he is the composer for this film too.

Titled ‘Puli-Meka’, ZEE5’s upcoming offering is a thriller. The streaming giant has collaborated with Kona Film Corporation on this promising web series. Come February 17, an exciting teaser is scheduled to be released. None other than Mega Power Star Ram Charan will be releasing it digitally.
Well-known cine writer and producer Kona Venkat is producing the series on a prestigious scale. K Chakravarthy Reddy, who has previously directed Gopichand-starrer ‘Pantham’, is wielding the megaphone. The thriller revolves around a serial killer and the police department. When the killer targets the police department by killing cops one after another, the thrills begin. Astrology is an important ingredient in the story.
Lavanya Tripathi and Aadi Saikumar are playing the best-written characters in this Original. A female cop leading an SIT and a forensic expert must track down a serial killer who has been going after police officers in the city of Hyderabad. When the going gets tough and the media builds up relentless pressure, the duo confronts a gut-wrenching truth during the investigation.
Tamannaah Going Strong Despite Flops!
Lovely lady Tamannaah Bhatia has been in the film industry for more than 15 years and while most of the heroines run out of opportunities, the ‘Baahubali’ heroine is still finding ways to keep herself busy. During a recent interview with Letterboxd, a comment read, “Ram Charan is a ****ing snack.†The actor smiled and replied, “Wow. I want my wife to hear this. Lovely. She will be very proud, I think.”
He was then asked about the onscreen crushes he had since childhood. The ‘Rangasthalam’ actor stated, “I don’t know if I was obsessed, but every time I saw Julia Roberts, I used to be really attracted to the film, to the screen, and I used to lock myself to the TV or the big screen. She had something so attractive and so conventional. I was a big fan of hers since Pretty Woman.”
He added, “Ah Catherina Zeta-Jones. My goodness. How can I forget her? The Mask of Zorro was one of her first films I enjoyed, and ever since I followed her work in Entrapment and so on.”
Currently, Ram Charan is working on a pan-Indian project under Shankar’s direction. It is going to be a political drama and sources say that Charan will be seen doing a dual role. Produced by Dil Raju, this movie is the 50th film in their banner. Noted actors like SJ Suryah, Srikanth, Sunil, Anjali and others are a key part of it. Thaman is the music composer and fans are eagerly waiting for this pan-Indian project. Kiara Advani is the heroine in this movie. He even accepted a movie with ‘Uppena’ director Buchi Babu Sana. It will go on floors in the latter half of 2023.
‘Kashmir Files’ Director Credits SRK For ‘Pathaan’ Success!
Director Vivek Agnihotri became famous all over the nation with his ‘The Kashmir Files’ which came out in 2022. This movie touched the hearts of many Indians who were unaware of the hardships and atrocities faced by the Kashmiri Pundits. He is currently working on ‘The Vaccine War’ which showcases the great work done by our scientists in providing the vaccine for COVID-19.
He is known for expressing his opinions in front of media about politics and Bollywood. He supports right wing and often ends up having heated arguments with the left wingers. Recently, he talked about the success of ‘Pathaan’. He said, “Bollywood makers will go back to their fundamental beliefs that audience is an idiot and you just need star power and lot of marketing hype to make a film successful. After Pathaan, I have a feeling that everybody will fall back to the same old system because Pathaan’s success is the success or in today’s environment I would choose the word victory. It’s the victory of the age-old, exploitative, nepotistic top-heavy system.”
He credited SRK for the movie’s huge success. Vivek claimed, “Pathaan worked purely because of the charisma, the fan following of Shah Rukh. The way he marketed it, the way he took it on his shoulders ‘that, okay it’s my film and I am responsible for it’ which is pretty good. I also think that some credit should also go to people who were making stupid statements against the film and people who were unnecessarily protesting and asking for boycott and these are different people from regular ‘Boycott Bollywood’ gang. There were also some violent factors who were saying we’ll burn this, we’ll burn that. They also contributed to this. And obviously our media channels.”
Record Deal For SDT’s Upcoming Flick ‘Virupaksha’!
Mega hero Sai Dharam Tej is currently working on a movie titled ‘Virupaksha’. Due to his accident, he was forced to take a long break in order to recover and this is going to be his first film in the last two years. ‘Virupaksha’ is going to hit the screens on the 21st of April in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi languages.
According to the trade reports, the Telugu theatrical rights of this movie have been sold for 22 crores. This is the highest pre-release theatrical business in Telugu for SDT’s film and it is a huge record for him. This is just for the Telugu states and Praveen who is a distributor from West Godavari bought it.
Sai Dharam Tej’s ‘Prathi Roju Pandage’, ‘Solo Lifey So Better’ and ‘Republic’ were good hits. Sukumar is the writer and co-producer for this movie which enhances the market value. Reports claim that the movie is getting fancy offers from other regions too. There are still satellite and digital rights to be considered. It is well known that Netflix bought the digital streaming rights.
‘Virupaksha’ is a horror thriller that is a new genre for Sai Dharam and Karthik Varma Dandu is the director of this movie. He is Sukumar’s student and the ‘Pushpa’ director himself penned the story and screenplay. BVSN Prasad produced this film under the SVCC banner. Karthik Aryan Talks About His Struggles In Bollywood!
Young and happening hero Karthik Aryan is all set to arrive with his family entertainer ‘Shehzada’ on 17th February. This movie is the remake of ‘Ala Vaikunthapuramlo’ and there are a decent hype on it.
