NTR Makes Variety Journalist’s Birthday Special!
Maverick director SS Rajamouli took Telugu cinema to greater heights. The Hollywood media is showing interest in interviewing our stars. His magnum opus RRR was shortlisted for two categories for the Golden Globe Awards 2023. RRR managed to win the award in the best song category. However, the magnum opus lost the Best Non-English Language Film Category award.
RRR stars Ram Charan Tej and Young Tiger NTR were interviewed on the same stage where Marvel heroes were interviewed earlier. This shows the level the Indian Cinema had reached. The stars stunned everyone with his perfect American accent in English.
Young Tiger NTR spoke to the famous journalist Marc Malkin who works for the famous outlet Variety. The Journalist will not forget the interview and NTR gave him a surprise gift on his birthday. In the middle of the interview, NTR mentioned that today is Malkin’s birthday and gave him a gift.
After receiving the gift Marc Malkin hugged NTR Jr for remembering his birthday and giving him a birthday gift. The Journalist made a video of unpacking the special gift NTR gave him. NTR gave him a cute bow tie as a birthday gift. Malkin thanked the RRR star and said that he is the nicest star he has ever met.
Recalling that JR NTR met him only a few days back, Marc Malkin said that the star remembered his birthday and gave him a gift. I will not forget this and NTR is among the top global stars. His response is all over social media and NTR fans are sharing the video.

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s comeback film Khaidi No. 150 proved that his box office stamina remained intact even after he made a comeback to films after a gap. However, he could not create the same magic with his next films. Chiranjeevi did not get negative comments for his acting either.
Many say that people are not focusing on his films as the content in Chiranjeevi’s films is monotonous and old-fashioned. To date Megastar Chiranjeevi is bringing his films in his old style. Let us look into the details of the business of his last four films and his latest film Waltair Veerayya.
Khaidi no. 150 did a theatre business of around 89 crores and the action entertainer achieved the target easily. Chiranjeevi’s next venture Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy which was released on a Pan-India scale did a big business of around 195 crores. But the historical film fell short of expectations and ended up bringing losses in many areas.
Talking about Mega multi-starrer Acharya it managed to do a business of Rs 136 crores and saw huge losses between Rs 80 to 90 crores as per the experts. Acharya became a huge disaster in Megastar Chiranjeevi’s career. It is also dubbed as the big flop Tollywood saw.
Talking about the political drama Godfather, it did a business of around Rs 90 crores. But it could not reach the target and fell short of it. With small losses, Godfather completed its theatrical run. Bollywood star Salman Khan played a crucial cameo in the official remake of the Hit Malayalam film Lucifer.
Now let us talk about the action entertainer Waltair Veerayya starring Megastar Chiranjeevi as the lead. It is said that the film did a business of around Rs 88 crores. The film which is carrying high expectations is slated for a grand release on the 13th of this month. Let us wait and see if the Megastar starrer can achieve the target or not.

AP Govt Grants Nominal Increase For Balayya and Chiru’s Films!
Sankranti is a crucial season for Films as the theatres see good footfalls. The makers of the films try their best in banking on the festival season and long holidays by bringing the films for the festival. This Sankranti season two senior heroes of Tollywood are coming with their respective films.
Megastar Chiranjeevi is coming with Waltair Veerayya while Nandamuri Balakrishna is arriving at the theatres for the Sankranti season with his much-awaited Veera Simha Reddy. Both films are carrying high expectations and fans are eagerly waiting for the films to hit the theatres.
As the Andhra Pradesh government earlier kept a cap on movie ticket prices all eyes are on the state to see what support both the films would get. Putting an end to this the films are allowed to go for the hike in movie ticket prices. But the hike is very minimal.
Going by the information Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya will have a hike of Rs 20 and Rs 25 respectively per ticket. The hike that was allowed for the tickets is very minimal and there is no clarity on why the hikes were allowed at minimal prices.
Increasing the movie ticket prices marginally would not help the films in seeing huge collections. On top of this, the movie ticket prices might also not help the exhibitors in getting the costs. A few exhibitors are said to have expressed their dissatisfaction with the new hikes as they will not help him.
A few months back the Andhra Pradesh government brought a Government Order bringing down movie ticket prices. Based on the locations of the theatres and the facilities they offer the government fixed the movie ticket fares.
Talking about the Sankranti season this time we are witnessing something unusual as Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya are bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers. Production House bringing two films for the same season is not what we see usually.
On the flip side, the Telangana government is said to be creating favorable conditions for Tollywood as both films were allowed to go for big hikes in ticket fares. It is also said that extra shows are also allowed for Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya.

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s mass bonanza ‘Waltair Veerayya’ is all set to hit the screens on 13th January and it is locking horns with other biggies like ‘Veera Simha Reddy’ and ‘Varasudu’. The promotions have already begun. Apart from the regular release of posters, they released four songs and a theatrical trailer recently.
The makers have released the fifth song titled ‘Neekemo Andamekkuva’ which was shot lavishly in foreign locations. Megastar is looking handsome and pulled off some graceful moments in his typical style while Shruti Hassan brought in the much needed glamour quotient. Devi Sri Prasad’s tune is foot-tapping and is sure to get into the minds of people instantly.
Ramajogayya Sastry penned the lyrics while Mika Singh and Geetha Madhuri gave their energetic vocals. There is a lot of positivity over this film and this song definitely adds up to the hype. Sankranti Business: What’s The Target Of Four Films?
Sankranti season is a big season for the film industry and this season is expected to be a special one in southern history. On one side top stars in Tamil are having a box office clash and senior heroes in Tollywood are locking horns. So an interesting debate on which film would become a hit is going on. Fans are also having a partial fight.
Let us look at the theatre business of the Sankranthi films. Thalapathy Vijay’s Varasudu is having a release in Telugu and Tamil. The Tamil version is getting released on the 11th of this month and the Telugu version will be released on January 14th. It is said that the Vijay starrer made a business of around Rs 140 crores.
Megastar Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film Waltair Veerayya is also carrying high expectations. The mass commercial film is arriving at the theatres on the 13th of this month. The Megastar starrer should collect more than Rs 90 crores to reach the target. Thala Ajith’s Thunivu/Thegimpu is also releasing in Tamil and Telugu for the Sankranti season. The action thriller is said to have done a business of around Rs 85 crores worldwide.
For the Sankranti season, the mass audiences’ focus is on Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer Veera Simha Reddy. It is said that the revenge drama made a theatrical business of around Rs 72 crores. Even a positive talk will help Veera Simha Reddy achieve the target easily. Balakrishna starrer is carrying high expectations in Telugu and in Tamil Ajith’s Thunivu has a good buzz. We have to wait and see which of the films would emerge as box office winners.

NTR was seen as Komaram Bheem while Ram Charan plays the role of Alluri Seetha Ramaraju in this massive film which is set in the backdrop of the pre-Independence era. Adivi Sesh is one of the most prominent names which is being heard in Tollywood right now. After introducing himself as a director and actor with ‘Karma’, this talented youngster became popular with Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Panjaa’. He then got an opportunity to work under SS Rajamouli’s direction. He played a crucial role in ‘Baahubali – The Beginning’ and gained huge popularity. He got back-to-back offers from big production houses after that.
He gained his success as a writer with ‘Kshanam’ and Adivi Sesh is following the same pattern ever since. He gets completely involved in the script and taking which is one of the reasons why he is getting such a success. The hit streak which started with ‘Kshanam’ is continuing even now.
