High Praise Kovai Sarala’s Serious Film!
Kovai Sarala is a very popular name in the movie industry. She has a separate brand when it comes to doing comedy and her scenes in the combination of Brahmanandam have entertained the Telugu audience for the last two decades. Her unique voice and body language won her a lot of fans. She played good roles in a lot of star hero films. She is one of the few actresses who played mother to Chiranjeevi as well as Allu Arjun. Due to her age, she limited herself to a few films lately. She recently came up with a serious movie named ‘Sembi’. It released in Tamil on Friday.
Prabhu Solomon directed this movie and he is known to the Telugu audience through Rana’s ‘Aranya’ which did not fare well at the box office but was praised for the message it conveyed. He worked in ‘Prema Khaidi’ which is a dubbing film and made ‘Gajaraju’ later which did not get commercial success. His movies always have a forest backdrop and involve tribal people. He repeated the same with ‘Sembi’ as well. This movie is about a grandmother’s fight against some powerful people who rape her granddaughter.
Kovai Sarala’s acting has been receiving praises from everyone including legendary actors like Kamal Hassan. It may not work commercial due to the lack of attractive ingredients but people who like movies based on social issues will definitely like it. The performances of Kovai Sarala and the girl who played her granddaughter’s role were fantastic. Despite some lag in the second half and a disappointing climax, the movie is quite appreciable. It may not get dubbed in Telugu.
Team #NBK108 wraps up 1st schedule, celebrates on sets
It is known that Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Anil Ravipudi’s upcoming action entertainer, which is tentatively titled #NBK108, has begun its shooting a few weeks ago. The makers today announced that they wrapped up the first schedule on the last day of 2022.
To mark this occasion and bid adieu to 2022, the makers have cut the cake on the sets and welcomed the new year with high positive energy.
Sharing pictures from this occasion, the director wrote, “Wrapping up the year & The first schedule of #NBK108 with high positive energy. Special thanks to #NandamuriBalakrishna garu & my entire team for the great support on sets.”
#NBK108 is produced by Sahu Garapati and Harish Peddi under the Shine Screens banner. Sreeleela will be playing a crucial role in the flick that will have music by S Thaman.
Besides this movie, Balakrishna has Veera Simha Reddy, which is set to release on January 12, 2023.
Two Huge Sets Getting Readied For #SSMB28!
Superstar Mahesh Babu and star writer-director Trivikram Srinivas’ prestigious project has faced a lot of hurdles ever since it was announced. It stayed in the pre-production stage for a very long time and the shooting finally began with a fight sequence. As soon as it was completed, Mahesh Babu was forced to stop shooting due to the demise of his father.
Currently, Mahesh is enjoying his vacation in Switzerland and will be returning in the first week of January. Sources claim that the shooting is going to start after the Sankranti festival. While Mahesh is abroad, the team headed by Trivikram are getting everything ready. Insiders say that a huge house set has been erected in Saradhi Studios. They have also built another big set which is in the outskirts of Hyderabad. Grapevine suggests that a majority for the movie’s shooting will be done in these two sets.
As we know, Mahesh has a project lined up with SS Rajamouli and it is expected to begin in the second half of 2023. The team wants to release #SSMB28 during the summer. Sources say that the makers have planned a schedule that starts from the second week of January and ends at the end of March. This is a very long schedule and arguably the biggest one in Mahesh’s career which spanned over 2 decades. The schedule is going to last for 80 days and the shooting days are going to be around 60-65 excluding the holidays.
Mahesh and Trivikram delivered classics like ‘Athadu’ and ‘Khaleja’ previously. Pooja Hegde is the heroine in this project and people are eager to listen to Thaman’s songs. PS Vinod will be cranking the camera while Naveen Nooli is the editor. AS Prakash is the art director. Sreeleela has been roped in as the second heroine in this project which is bankrolled under ‘Haarika & Hassine Creations’.
