Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ The Bluff Premieres on Prime Video February 25

Actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas’s upcoming Hollywood film, The Bluff, is set to premiere on Prime Video on February 25, the streaming service announced on Thursday. Directed by Frank E. Flowers, the action-adventure also stars Karl Urban of The Boys fame.
Set against the historical and cultural backdrop of the Cayman Islands, the film follows a former pirate whose quiet life is disrupted by the return of a violent past. Chopra Jonas plays Ercell “Bloody Mary” Bodden, a skilled ex-pirate who believes she has left behind a life of bloodshed to live peacefully with her family. But when her notorious former captain, Connor (Karl Urban), returns seeking revenge, Ercell is forced to confront the demons she tried to bury.

The film blends period storytelling with large-scale action, featuring intense sword fights, tactical traps, and hand-to-hand combat. Written by Joe Ballarini and Frank E. Flowers, The Bluff is produced by the Russo brothers’ banner AGBO, along with Chopra Jonas, Michael Disco, Cisely Saldana, and Mariel Saldana. The cast also includes Safia Oakley-Green, Temuera Morrison, and Ismael Cruz Cordova.

Faria Abdullah Bets Big on Sankranti with Fun Cameo

Faria Abdullah won hearts with her fun-filled performance and impressive debut in Jathi Rathnalu, earning widespread appreciation from audiences. The talented actress later appeared in a couple of films that unfortunately failed to make a mark at the box office. However, she seems to be placing her bets high this Sankranti season with a surprise cameo in one of the upcoming festival releases.
According to reports, Faria Abdullah will be seen in a brief yet entertaining cameo role in one of the Sankranti films. Though her screen time is said to be limited to just a few minutes, her appearance is expected to leave audiences in splits, as the film itself is being promoted as a non-stop fun entertainer.
Despite sharing screen space with familiar stars like Allari Naresh, films such as Ah Okkati Adakku and Gurram Papi Reddy did not significantly boost her career. However, Mathu Vadalara 2 proved to be a turning point, helping her regain attention and appreciation from both audiences and industry circles.
If Faria manages to once again charm viewers with her comic timing and screen presence through this special appearance, it could open doors to more interesting and impactful roles in the future.
Meanwhile, the Sankranti box office will witness multiple releases, including Raja Saab, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, Anaganaga Oka Raju, Bharatha Mahasayulaki Vignapathi, and Nari Nari Naduma Murari, making it a highly competitive festive season.
Chiranjeevi Gets Emotional, Calls Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu a Special Film

Megastar Chiranjeevi has expressed immense happiness and emotional attachment towards Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, as revealed during the film’s pre-release event. The legendary actor shared heartfelt thoughts about the film, its team, and the memorable journey he experienced while working on the project.
Chiranjeevi began his speech by extending his best wishes to all the Sankranti releases, saying, “Let Sankranti 2026 be unforgettable for Telugu cinema. This festive season is bringing films that families will truly enjoy. I urge everyone to watch them only in theatres.”
Recalling how the project took shape, Chiru mentioned that veteran director Raghavendra Rao had praised Anil Ravipudi’s comic timing and storytelling abilities years ago, and fittingly, this film began with his blessings. “When Anil narrated the story, I immediately liked it because it had all the essential elements. When I suggested trying something different, Anil firmly said, ‘No… you must play this character in your classic style,’” Chiranjeevi revealed.
The Megastar went on to praise Anil Ravipudi’s preparation and vision, stating that the director referred to several scenes and moments from his earlier films to bring out the vintage Chiranjeevi magic. “Working with Anil has been a wonderful experience. On the final day of the shoot, I became very emotional. I’ve never felt that way before,” he added.
Chiranjeevi also expressed confidence in the film’s success, noting that it has already become a “super hit at the production level.” “The film was completed on time, within budget, and we achieved our first victory. The second victory now lies in the hands of the audience,” he said.
Speaking fondly about co-star Venkatesh, Chiru described him as deeply philosophical and wise beyond his age. “He feels like a compact-sized guru to me. He balances cinema and personal life beautifully. We enjoyed every moment working together—it was endless fun,” he shared.
Music director Bheems Ceciroleo also received special appreciation from the Megastar. Chiranjeevi praised the composer for delivering organic and energetic music, with clearly audible lyrics. He also highlighted a special rap song composed by Bheems, calling it one of the film’s major attractions.
Concluding his speech, Chiranjeevi extended his best wishes to producers Sahu Garapati and Sushmita Konidela, expressing gratitude for their support and commitment to the project.
CBFC Hurdles Delay Vijay’s Jana Nayagan Release

Thalapathy Vijay’s Jana Nayagan, which was announced as the actor’s final on-screen appearance before his full-time entry into politics, has hit an unexpected roadblock ahead of its release. While the film was initially expected to arrive as scheduled, certification issues with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) have forced the makers to postpone the release.
According to reports, a member of the CBFC wrote to the chairman stating that his objections were not properly recorded before the committee arrived at its recommendation. Soon after the Madras High Court reserved its order on a petition challenging the CBFC’s decision to withhold the censor certificate, the makers officially announced the postponement, leaving fans disappointed and the industry on edge.
With Jana Nayagan delayed, attention has now shifted to Sivakarthikeyan’s Parasakthi. Interestingly, the situation bears similarities to the issues faced by Parasakthi as well. The CBFC screening committee is said to have suggested around 23 cuts, and the makers are reportedly awaiting the final certification, which is expected to be issued soon.
The delay in receiving the certificate appears to be the reason behind the absence of an official censor announcement so far. With just a day left for release, it would be crucial for the team to issue clarity on the film’s censor status at the earliest.
Directed by Sudha Kongara, Parasakthi carries massive expectations at the box office, and a timely certification will be key in determining its release prospects.
