A lot of young heroes with a political backdrop entered the film industry from Karnataka over the past few years. Following the trend, famous politician Gaali Janardhan Reddy’s son Kireeti Reddy is making his entry into films with a Kannada-Telugu bilingual project. A few months back, the pooja ceremony was done in a grand manner.
Well-known production house ‘Vaarahi Chalana Chitram’ is bankrolling this project and a behind-the-scenes video too was released to showcase the hard work the youngster went through to pull off some cool stunts at that time. The makers have now decided to announce the film’s title. A video has been released explaining the type of youth present in society now. The camera slowly shifts towards Kireeti and the title has been showcased in a stylish manner.
‘Junior’ is the name of the movie and it sounds interesting. Without releasing a lot about the story till date, they have managed to release two videos from this youthful romantic entertainer. The presentation is quite good and Kireeti looked cool in trendy outfit. Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad came up with a sweet and refreshing tune for the background score.
‘Pelli SandaD’ fame Sri Leela will be seen as the heroine while energetic and bubbly actress Genelia will be making her comeback with this film. She will be seen in a crucial role. Kannada Legend Crazy Star Dr. Ravichandra V will be seen in an important role.
The makers roped in some of the finest technicians in the industry to work on this untitled project. Top fight master Peter Hein will be composing the fights while Rajamouli’s trusted director of photography KK Senthil Kumar is working on the visuals. Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad will be scoring the music while Raveendar is the production designer.

Vijay, MB were the first choice for Ponniyin Selvan
Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus ‘Ponniyin Selvan: 1’ hit the screens today and is receiving positive reviews all over.
Meanwhile, an interesting news came out that Thalapathy Vijay and Superstar Mahesh Babu were initially part of the movie, but they backed out due to many reasons.
As part of the promotions, hero Vikram revealed that the first shoot of Ponniyin Selvan: 1 happened with Vijay and Mahesh Babu while the I actor did the same Aditya Karikalan role. However, they later opted out of the movie and Karthi and Jayam Ravi reprised their roles.
Ponniyin Selvan:1 is released in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. The storyline revolves around the historical events during the Chola Dynasty. The movie also stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, among others in key roles.
A rare record: TRS to become first regional party to own a plane
While one is not still sure whether there will be the formal announcement of the national party by KCR or not, one thing is sure. The party is going to get its own plane. The ruling TRS is all set to buy a 12-seater plane for nation-wide tours and election campaigns. The cost of the plane is said to be around Rs 80 crore and a formal order is likely to be placed on Vijaya Dasami day.
Thus, TRS will become the first political party from South India to own an airplane. Interestingly, neither DMK nor AIADMK, not even TDP or Janata Dal Secular, which were in power for long periods, owned a plane, the TRS, which was in power for nearly 9 years, will buy a plane. The party funders, MLAs and ministers are likely to make hefty donations for buying the plane.
In fact, the TRS is among the richest regional parties. KCR himself has acknowledged that the party has funds to a tune of Rs 860 crore in the form of bank deposits. In addition, the party has assets worth Rs 870 crores. This too was disclosed by KCR at a party meeting. Sources say that the plane would be used for KCR’s travels to various states as part of building a national party.
Sources say that the party has decided to buy a plane because of the strident criticism that KCR is spending from the government exchequer for his tours of various states in his capacity as the chief minister of Telagnana. To offset this, he has decided to own a plane so that the expenses can be born by his party.
Man thrashed for uploading obscene posts against Nara Brahmani
The ugly trend of posting abusive posts against women, whose only connection with politics is because of their spouses, is on the rise in Andhra Pradesh. Obscene posters on the roads and abusive posts online are vitiating the atmosphere in the state and are leading to unsavoury situations. A person was beaten black and blue for posting obscene posts against Nara Brahmani, daughter of actor-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna and wife of TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh.
The incident happened in Mustafanagar in Khammam district on Thursday. According to sources, the TDP workers in Mustafanagar were upset over social media posts and identified that one Kodati Narasimha was responsible for them. When contacted, the youth replied recklessly and dared them to come to the YSRCP office in Mustafanagar.
The TDP leaders went there and questioned him. He replied evasively and tried to provoke them. Then the TDP workers thrashed him. The TDP leaders said that they would not tolerate vilification of the women members of both Nara and Nandamuri fans. TDP Khammam Lok Sabha committee incharge Kurapati Venkateswarlu warned that those posting obscene posters would meet the same fate.
Significantly, such obscene posts are being uploaded by individuals and not officially uploaded. It may be recalled that both Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and TDP Andhra Pradesh president Atchen Naidu have reached an agreement not to drag the women members of the political families into the slugfest However, posting of such unsavoury posts is continuing unabated.
What Are The US Premiers Of ‘PS -1’ Saying?
‘Ponniyin Selvan’ is one of the biggest films made in South India. Based on the novel written by legendary Kalki Krishnamurthy with the same title, this is Mani Ratnam’s dream project. After trying to give a visual form for this popular novel for the past three decades, the ‘Roja’ director finally managed to make it. The first part of ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ is released this Friday amidst huge hype and expectations.
With big names in front and behind the camera, ‘PS – 1’ is expected to be a gripping political drama with grandeur and epicness written all over it. The premiere shows in the US are done and this is what they have to say about this gigantic film.
While the Tamil audience are embracing the film very well due to the emotional attachment with their history, the regular movie lovers claim that there are no high points in the film that makes you cheer. Apparently, the ‘wow’ factor is missing in ‘PS – 1’ and Mani Ratnam tried to underplay a lot of scenes which had the potential to give goosebumps to the audience.
Majority of the first part is invested in setting the basic plot and introducing us to the main characters. From what we hear, Karthi steals the show in ‘PS – 1’ with an entertaining role. Though Vikram and Jayam Ravi make their mark, it is the ‘Oopiri’ hero who drives the film and does a fantastic job. Coming to the female leads, both Aishwarya Rai as Nandini is tremendous and her acting is a treat to watch as per reports. Trisha did a great job too and the confrontation between these two characters came out pretty well.
It is AR Rahman who stands as the main hero behind the screens for ‘PS – 1’. His background scores and songs have lifted the film so many times as the narration appears weak and flat. Talk suggests that Mani Ratnam did not make full use of a strong story as the intensity went missing in most of the scenes. The political drama and dialogues between the cast should create a lot of intrigue and thrill which does not appear in ‘PS-1’. Also, there were complaints about the movie’s graphics during the end portions. Mani Ratnam’s visual brilliance is very much evident in this film but it is not a visual spectacle like the recent high-budget historic or fantasy films. On the whole, ‘PS – 1’ is a film backed by strong performances and sound technical quality but there are shortcomings in the film which needed to be addressed in the second part.

Poster Talk: Stunning & Flawless Look Of Prabhas As Ram!
As revealed before, the teaser and first look poster of Prabhas’ upcoming mythological film ‘Adipurush’ will be coming out on 2nd October. Prior to that, the makers released a special poster in order to hype up the audience and it looks fantastic.
Prabhas is looking terrific as lord Ram and his sculpted body is just stunning to watch. He is aiming at the skies with his bow and arrow showcasing the warrior side of Rama. This poster definitely took the expectations to a whole new level. Prabhas’ look and the action-filled poster is a delight to watch and the fans are overjoyed with this update.
The makers wrote, “Join us as we embark on a magical journey. On the Sarayu River Bank in Ayodhya, UP! #AdipurushInAyodhya. Unveil the first poster and teaser of our film with us on Oct. 2 at 7:11 PM!”
This high-budget mythological drama will be arriving in theatres worldwide on 12th January 2023. It will be released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages. Directed by Om Raut, this movie is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar and Rajesh Nair. Vamsi and Pramod of UV Creations will be releasing it in Telugu. Saif Ali Khan portrays the character of Lankesh in this ‘Adipurush’ while gorgeous Bollywood beauty Kriti Sanon will be seen as Sita. Sunny Singh will be seen as Lakshman in this project which is made on a grand budget. Fans cannot wait to see the teaser already. Let us see how it turns out.
