I oppose renaming NTR varsity, but like YS Jagan: Yarlagadda

Share

He may have resigned from the Official Language Implementation Committee of the AP government in protest against the renaming of the NTR health university as Dr YSR health university, but scholar-politician Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad refuses to criticise YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Despite his opposition to the renaming of the university, Yarlagadda is all praise for YS Jagan.

He said there was no question of his taking back the resignation. He, however, said that he would continue to serve the Telugu language in his own way. He said he would not take up any official positions in future. He justified his decision to resign from the Official Language Implementation Committee on the issue of renaming of the university.

He also revealed that he was getting abusive calls from anonymous callers, who were using foul language against him for not criticising YS Jagan on this issue. He said he considered YS Jagan Mohan Reddy a hero. He said that Jagan was a hero because he took on the might of Sonia Gandhi and defeated the Congress Party.

He said he has great love for YS Rajasekhar Reddy as he had named Telugu Ganga Canal after NTR. He said YSR has done great service to the Telugu language. He said that he would not comment on politics of Andhra Pradesh. But, I would continue to consider YS Jagan has a hero, said Yarlagadda Lakshmiprasad.

He also revealed that this magnum opus film will be hitting the screens on January 12th, 2023 in IMAX & 3D. He shared the pictures of himself with the producer as well as the lead actors Prabhas and Kriti Sanon. Fans of Prabhas are now jumping in joy hearing this news and they can’t wait to see him as Lord Ram in this mythological drama.

There are even rumors coming out that Prabhas will be attending the famous Raavan Dahan ceremony which will be held in Ramlila Maidan in Delhi on October 5th. While nothing is confirmed, fans are hoping that it becomes true. If Prabhas manages to get accepted as lord Ram, the collections for ‘Adipurush’ are going to be off the charts. We need to wait and see if it happens or not.

Directed by Om Raut, Saif Ali Khan portrays the character of Lankesh in this ‘Adipurush’. Gorgeous Bollywood beauty Kriti Sanon will be seen as Sita while T-Series is bankrolling this project.

After gaining a huge mass following across the nation with ‘Baahubali’ franchise, star hero Prabhas is finding it difficult to impress the audience. His stylish action flick ‘Saaho’ did not meet the expectations while the love story ‘Radhe Shyam’ ended up as a disaster. He is working on three projects right now and they are ‘Adipurush’, ‘Salaar’ and ‘Project K’.

Boy Friend On Rent Facility In Bengaluru!

Share

Boyfriend on rent is a popular term in western nations. We hear a lot about the trend in western nations. But the trend forayed into the IT capital Bengaluru, which became a topic of discussion. A new start-up based in Bengaluru raised many eyebrows with a post on boyfriend on rent.

A few techies came together to start a start-up that offers boyfriends on rent on an hourly basis. Though boyfriends of girls’ choice can be hired, there is a big twist here. The boyfriend who gets hired will not meet the girl physically. With the twist raising many doubts, the founders of the start-up gave a big explanation now.

The twist in the tale is the service offered by a start-up called ToYBoY portal. The founders say that the portal works in a way that, people going through mental issues and depression can get some relief through the suggestions and ideas the portal offers.

However, the start-up is not the first firm to offer such a service. The techies who set up the start-up are saying that their start-up is different from the rest and the portal not only listens to the problems of the girls but the portal also gives relief through suggestions.

Though people facing depression and other mental issues will get a small relief with these kinds of services and portals, there is also strong criticism towards the service. The techies are lashing out at the start-up.

The founders are saying that, keeping people dealing with relationship issues and mental issues the portal was designed. As there will be no one to talk to them and listen to their struggles, the portal fills the place, the founders say. A few techies got the idea of the start-up.

People are asking why can’t the founders of the start-up cannot clearly mention that there is a twist in the service of a boyfriend on rent. What is the need to beat around the bush, they ask. For a lot of reasons, the start-up became a discussion topic in the state and we have to wait and see how the ruling party reacts to the start-up.

KTR does damage control after Basar IIT fiasco

Share

Realising that the agitation by the students of the Basar IIT has badly damaged the image of the TRS government, its working president KTR has decided to do some damage control. He flew down to Basar IIT along with minister Sabitha Indra Reddy and others to meet the students, who have been on warpath.

The agitation by the Basar IIT students brought a lot of shame and infamy to the TRS government. The students complained about food quality and lack of basic amenities. Several students fell sick and one student even died, albeit for another reason. The TRS government did not ignore the agitation even as it continued for several weeks. The situation has come to such a pass that Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan personally visited the campus and interacted with the students to take stock of the situation.

State government’s inaction and Governor’s initiative have shown the government in a poor light. Realising that it was impacting the overall image of the government, KTR landed in the IIT and dined with the students. Every effort was made to show that things were hunky-dory on the campus. KTR did not forget posing with happily smiling students and tried to show that everything was alright.

He promised to set up a mini T hub on the IIT premises. He said laptops would be distributed to the students in November. He said that special officers were appointed to look into the problems of the students. He also did not forget to laud the students for their peaceful manner of highlighting the problems in the IIT. The whole attempt is being seen as an exercise in damage control.

Is KCR having second thoughts on announcing National Party this Dasara?

Share

Though announced amid much fanfare, TRS supremo KCR’s national party may not become a reality this Vijayadasami. Indications are that KCR could be having second thoughts about whether to foray into national politics or not. Nothing has been definitively said about the formation of the new national party till now.

Though KCR has discussed the formation of a national party with his cabinet colleagues and his close acolytes in his farmhouse, the picture is still hazy. Several farmers’ organisations and other bodies have passed resolutions requesting KCR to enter into national parties, he appears to be having second thoughts. Hence, though Vijayadasami is approaching, there is no clear statement from him.

Sources in the know say that KCR wants to announce the formation of the party only after touring all the states. He would like to make an announcement only after appointing representatives in most of the states. He is said to be holding daily meetings at his farmhouse in Erravelli to take stock of the situation at the national level. He is also said to have kept an eye on the developments within the Congress party.

Meanwhile, some sources also say that KCR is disappointed with the response from the other regional parties in the country. Though he personally met opposition leaders like Tejaswi Yadav, MK Stalin, Arvind Kejriwal, Deve Gowda, HD Kumara Swamy, Akhilesh Yadav and Sharad Pawar, the response has not been on expected lines. Hence, he is said to have adopted a wait and watch approach on the issue of announcing a national party.
