A rare and heartwarming moment of Superstar Rajinikanth with his entire family has been winning the internet. At the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, Thalaivar was spotted with his wife Latha Rajinikanth, daughters Aishwarya and Soundarya, grandchildren, and other family members. Since the whole Rajinikanth family rarely appears together in public, fans were thrilled to see this special glimpse. Soundarya shared the picture on Instagram with the simple caption, “Together at iffigoa,” capturing three generations of the superstar’s family in one frame. Rajinikanth appears relaxed in a casual look, smiling warmly beside his loved ones.
On the professional front, Rajinikanth is currently filming Jailer 2, an action drama directed by Nelson, slated for a June 2026 release. His previous film, Coolie, achieved moderate success.
At IFFI 2025, Rajinikanth became emotional while reflecting on his journey. In a now-viral video, he said, “Fifty years in cinema felt like just 10 or 15 years. If I had 100 more lives, I would want to be born as an actor, and as Rajinikanth. This honour belongs to the cinema industry and especially to the Tamil people, the gods who keep me alive.”
Meanwhile, buzz around Thalaivar 173 is getting louder. Director Sundar C has reportedly stepped back, and Ramkumar Balakrishnan, who gained acclaim with Parking, is likely to take charge. Strong rumours suggest that Sai Pallavi may play the female lead opposite Rajinikanth.
