Keeping the forthcoming Huzurabad by-elections in mind, Telangana Rashtra Samithi(TRS) supremo and Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrashekar Rao aka KCR has been showering schemes for the SCs, STs, and BCs. The Telangana government’s flagship Dalit Bandhu comes on the same lines.

As another flagship scheme, the Telangana Government is said to have taken another decision to provide reservations for the BCs, SCs, and STs enabling them to start the liquor stalls in the state. The decision was taken yesterday reportedly.

Media reports say that the other day, the Telangana Cabinet under the leadership of Chief Minister KCR met for a crucial meeting the other day. The sensational decision was taken during the meeting.

The alleged reservations would be provided for the castes based upon their castes. Gowdas that fall under the BCs would get a maximum reservation of 15 percent followed by SCs and STs with 10 and 5 percent respectively.

It is said that under the new scheme, as many as 2,216 liquor shops would be permitted by the government and the licenses would be issued. The licenses for the liquor shops would expire next month and upon this, the licenses for the shops would be issued soon.

OnePlus 9RT expected to launch on October 15

Shenzhen: Popular smartphone brand OnePlus is expected to launch its new smartphone called OnePlus 9RT in India soon.

Last month GSM Arena reported that OnePlus is working on a new member of the OnePlus 9 series, called OnePlus 9RT. The leak claimed that the 9RT, codenamed ‘Martini’, will arrive in October, and that bit is now corroborated by leakster OnLeaks, who revealed that the smartphone’s tentative launch date is October 15.

There’s no word from OnePlus about the upcoming smartphone yet, but the previous leak claimed the smartphone will come with a higher-binned version of the Snapdragon 870 SoC, 120Hz AMOLED screen, 4,500 mAh battery, and 65W charging.

The OnePlus 9RT will feature a 50MP Sony IMX766 and could be the first OnePlus phone to run Android 12-based OxygenOS 12 out of the box. The 9RT will be limited to the Indian and Chinese markets and won’t see a global release.

Alongside the 9RT, the company is also expected to announce a lite version of the Buds Air Pro with ANC and second-gen Buds Z next month, but it’s unclear if the two are the same pair of TWS earphones or different.

Xiaomi announces 11-inch Pad 5 tablet

Beijing: Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is returning to Android tablets with the 11-inch Pad 5 after a few years.

As per The Verge, the smartphone company recently announced the Xiaomi Pad 5 after the last 8-inch Mi Pad 4, the company launched in 2018.

The Xiaomi Pad 5 which is launching in the company’s European markets is an 11-inch tablet with a WQHD+ 120Hz display, quad speakers, 6GB of RAM, and a Snapdragon 860 processor which is the new speed-bumped version of the 855, Qualcomm’s flagship chip from 2019.

The tab has a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel sensor on the front.

As per The Verge, the new gadget looks like an iPad Pro. It has slim bezels and flat edges to the tablet-specific MIUI customizations like the apps dock. “The build isn’t as solid, and the screen doesn’t quite sit as flush with the chassis, but the inspiration is clear,” as per The Verge.

The gadget’s screen and speaker quality are both good.

Xiaomi product marketing head Abi Go told The Verge that the company thinks of the Pad 5 as a “portable workstation” as well as an entertainment device, and there will be stylus and keyboard accessories in some markets.

Reportedly, the cost for a 128GB version tablet would be Euro 349 (USD 413), or Euro 399 (USD 472) for 256GB.

Xiaomi has not announced a specific release date for the Pad 5, yet but has teased that the device’s launch will vary by region, according to The Verge.

HYDERABAD: Critical of Congress MP Shashi Tharoor’s recent visit to Hyderabad, TPCC chief A Revanth Reddy, who did not have prior information of the MP’s visit, termed the MP a ‘donkey’ and hoped for his expulsion from the party. During a chit-chat with mediapersons on Wednesday, Revanth, who took exception to Tharoor praising IT Minister KT Rama Rao, said Tharoor and Rama Rao were of the same ilk and their fluency in English did not mean either of them was a knowledgeable person.

Terming Tharoor a ‘gadha’ (donkey), he hoped that the party would expel him, as the MP was proving to be a liability. Referring to Rama Rao’s tweet on the Saidabad rape and murder case, Revanth said, “He who has praised the IT Minister should also know about the state of affairs here. That donkey should have been tagged (in the tweet). If both speak to each other in English, it won’t bring any change here,” he added.

One MLA who is most disappointed at not being “recognised” for his services in the YSRCP is Piler MLA Chintala Ramachandra Reddy. He is said to have been very unhappy at not being made a member of the TTD board. Chintala Ramachandra Reddy has been the traditional rival of the Nallari family and success or defeat, he has been fighting against the Nallari’s.

In fact, he had defeated Nallari Kishor Reddy, brother of former CM Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy. But, despite that he was not made a minister. It is already two-and-a-half years and he has no hopes of becoming a minister anymore. So, he tried for some corporation chief’s post. But, the YSRCP has taken a policy decision not to give a nomination post to the elected MLAs. So, he was expecting to be nominated as the board member of the TTD.

He met YS Jagan, Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, Vijaysai Reddy and Mithun Reddy. But when the appointments were made, his name was not found. He has become very disappointed. He is more upset that a much junior leader and a former ZPTC member Pokala Ashok Kumar was made the TTD board member ignoring his claims. He feels that Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy must have had his hand in the appointment of Ashok Kumar.
