Telugu Desam Party National General Secretary Nara Lokesh made shocking comments about Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The TDP MLC has taken to Twitter and lashed out at Jagan over the murder of a B.Tech student Ramya in Guntur. He remembered the government that an ultimatum was issued and the accused, in this case, should be punished within 21 days.

Lokesh’s recent comments to the police in this regard have become a sensation. The Andhra Pradesh Police Officers’ Association has expressed outrage over the behaviour of the TDP leader In this context, Lokesh made shocking comments linking the police warning to CM Jagan.

Lokesh commented that if the efforts made to encourage the AP police officers’ union against him had been put in place for protecting women, there would not have been a daily child molester in Jagan’s regime. With only 14 days left, the TDP MLC questioned when the accused who killed the Ramya will be hanged. To this end, Lokesh made a series of tweets on Sunday.

“If the efforts made to encourage the AP Police Officers’ Union against me had been put in place for the protection of women, there would not have been a daily child molester during your rule. Yet political orthodoxy must be put aside and the focus on women’s safety. With only 14 days left, when will the person who killed the Ramya be hanged?” Lokesh tweeted.

Publicity-crazy TDP leader Nara Lokesh Babu’s actions have made life a hell for a girl student in Guntur. His comments and actions have made things difficult for the girl and her family. Lokesh’s statements have exposed the family to public glare and robbed their privacy.

On August 19, a family lodged a complaint with Guntur SP Arif Hafez that a Guntur-based constable was talking to their daughter despite several warnings. They pointedly told the SP that there was no rape or molestation in the case. They said the constable was talking to the girl against their wishes. The police SP directed the cops to book an FIR and accordingly, an FIR was booked on August 21.

However, Lokesh Babu has taken up this issue and began claiming that the girl was raped by the said constable. The pro-TDP media and social media too began talking about the issue. Neither Lokesh nor the media houses kept the name of the girl secret. Revealing the name of the victim is against the law. But, the pro-TDP media has revealed her name.

Though the girl was not raped, Lokesh claimed that she was raped. This has caused mental harm to the girl and her parents. They say that their family reputation has been damaged. They are now worried that this kind of unwanted publicity could ruin her life. The AP Police officers association too has strongly objected to taking the girl’s name.
