KCR can’t create jobs, but has audacity to sack people, says Sharmila

HYDERABAD: Lambasting Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, YSRTP president YS Sharmila on Wednesday said that the CM didn’t have the capability to create employment in the State, but had the audacity to remove already existing jobs.

Sharmila was speaking while expressing solidarity with a protest by MGNREGA field assistants at Dharna Chowk, demanding to reinstate 7,651 employees. She said these workers were employed by her father and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy in 2006, and the present Chief Minister had ‘no right to remove them.’

Addressing the gathering, Sharmila said Rao had removed 52,000 jobs and pulled around 2 lakh families into financial distress. She said the MGNREGA field assistants were removed for seeking an employment guarantee and protesting against a GO issued by the State. She said that the Chief Minister had also uncharitably removed 1,600 nurses after utilising their services during the pandemic.“Does KCR have a stone for a heart? Even he had worked as a Union Minister for Labour and Employment,” Sharmila said.

She further said that water, employment, and funds - the main objectives of the Telangana movement – were only being availed by the “KCR family.” Stating that the principle of the people of Telangana was to raise their voice against injustice, she said that the Chief Minister was trying to stifle dissent.

“KCR wants people to remain at his feet by saying dhora, banchan (remain as slaves),” she alleged. She added that even Cabinet Ministers and MLAs were not getting appointments to meet the Chief Minister.

Bandi Sanjay demands KCR to attend river boards’ meeting

HYDERABAD: Stating that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao could settle the issues pertaining to water sharing by attending the meetings of coordination committees of Krishna and Godavari river management boards (KRMB, GRMB), BJP State president Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Wednesday demanded the former to attend the meeting to question the injustice being meted out to the State and to obtain a legitimate water share for the State.

Speaking to mediapersons in Delhi, Bandi alleged that the Chief Minister was scared that the irregularities he had committed with regard to irrigation projects, DPRs of irrigation projects, and the nexus between him and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy would be revealed to the public if he attends the meeting.

He said that AP was withdrawing more than 150 TMC of water and attending the meeting would give him an opportunity to stop the drawal.

The BJP chief said, “K Chandrasekhar Rao is the only Chief Minister in the country who does not release his daily schedule because he boozes in his farmhouse and sleeps in Pragathi Bhavan.” He added that Rao had promised to withdraw a case regarding the water dispute in the Supreme Court, but it had been close to a year and the case was still pending.

KCR declares Gellu’s candidature for Huzurabad

For quite some time now, there has been speculation on who KCR would opt for, to be the candidate for the upcoming Huzurabad by-elections. A lot of names were heard in the process, but nothing was declared officially, until now.

A few days ago, it was said that KCR was going to announce Gellu Srinivas Yadav as the candidate for the Huzurabad by-elections, and this has been made official today. Gellu Srinivas Yadav, 38, is currently serving as state president of the TRS student wing TRSV (TRS Vidyarthi). He also participated in the Telangana agitation movement in Osmania University, and even faced several police cases, and even went to jail.

Yadav belongs to the backward classes and is also a local of Huzurabad. He is said to have been opted by KCR as he’s an activist, much like Etela, and KCR is said to be of the belief that Gellu would have the better chance to defeat Etela, who is the BJP’s candidate for the Huzurabad by-elections.

The shooting of SS Rajamouli’s upcoming magnum opus ‘RRR’ is currently underway in Ukraine and the makers often take to social media to share glimpses of the shoot. It is known that the RRR team recently released an impressive track named ‘Dosti,’ which caught the attention of movie lovers.

Now, the official Twitter handle of RRR shared a short clip in which we can see both Jr NTR and Ram Charan humming and enjoying the Dosti song while travelling in a car in Ukraine.

Sharing the video, the makers wrote, ”Spotted! Bheem and Ramaraju hooked onto the #Dosti song…#RRRMovie. Post a video of you and your friend listening to the song and tag us! #Natpu #Priyam.”

Ram Charan and Jr NTR vibing to Dosti song is sure to grab the Telugu audience’ attention. It was already announced that the Temper actor has taken over the Instagram page of RRR. We can also find the same video on RRR’s Instagram handle, which a caption, “On the way to the shoot with my #Dost #rrrmovie.”

RRR, which is a fictional story, narrates the lives of two freedom fighters, Komaram Bheem and Alluri Seetharama Raju, played by Jr NTR and Ram Charan, respectively. The film also features Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Ray Stevenson, Olivia Morris and Alison Doody in prominent roles.

Vijayasai wants constitutional amendments to disqualify RRR!

The YSRCP, its members, and its Narasapuram MP Raghu Ramakrishna Raju have been at war for the longest time now, over almost every issue. They never seem to be able to see eye to eye on any issue, and the matter has gotten so worse that RRR was even arrested recently, and is currently on conditional bail.

Due to the several comments that RRR made against the YSRCP, CM Jagan, and the rest of the party members, the party has been trying to get him disqualified for the longest time now and even made an appeal in the Lok Sabha. however, the speaker of the Lok Sabha hasn’t taken an action on this appeal yet, which is irking the members of the YSRCP. Rajya Sabha MP Vijayasai Reddy has now suggested that changes be made to the constitution itself. According to the tenth schedule of the constitution, a person who wins from one party can be disqualified if they join another party while still in power. Neither RRR nor his family members have ever been sported wearing the flag of any other party other than the YSRCP, and have only been vocal about their dissatisfaction with the YSRCP.

Vijayasai has now brought up this topic and is trying his best to get the constitution amended so that RRR would be disqualified, even though the chances are slim. The Supreme Court had recently passed an order, stating that all the pending disqualification cases should be cleared within 3 months. With Vijayasai being very firm on trying to get RRR disqualified, it is to be seen what will happen now.
