Prabhas Manages Three Films in Pre-Production Simultaneously
In today’s Tollywood, when a star hero starts a new film, it typically takes at least a year or two before another project begins. Many top actors now release only one film per year, dedicating long periods to perfecting their pan-India projects. Once a film is in production, they generally don’t consider another project until the current one is completed.
However, one pan-India star is breaking this pattern. While shooting for one film, he already has three other projects in pre-production simultaneously — and that star is none other than Darling Prabhas.
Currently, Prabhas is busy on two sets: Raja Saab, directed by Maruthi, and Pauji, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi. Until these films wrap, he cannot commit to new releases. But at the same time, three more films are in pre-production: Kalki 2, Salar 2, and Spirit. Among these, Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, is first in line to go on floors.
Sandeep started working on the pre-production for Spirit right after the release of Animal, and preparations are ongoing. Similarly, Kalki 2 with Nag Ashwin is also in the pre-production stage. Following the release of Kalki 2898, Nag Ashwin has been fully focused on the second installment. Meanwhile, Salar 2’s pre-production is underway, even though director Prashanth Neel is busy shooting Dragon. Neel occasionally supervises and provides guidance remotely, ensuring the project progresses smoothly.
Prabhas is fully committed to all these projects, concentrating on one at a time without distractions, while simultaneously managing three films in pre-production — a record in Tollywood history. Previous generations of actors like NTR, ANR, Krishna, and Sobhan Babu worked on multiple projects, but such simultaneous pre-production management for three pan-India films is unprecedented in the current generation. Prabhas is the first contemporary Tollywood star to take on such a challenge.
Srinidhi Shetty: Tollywood’s Rising Star
Interestingly, many heroines coming from Karnataka belong to the Shetty community. In Tollywood, certain social groups tend to be highlighted more, and the Shetty community is one of them. In recent times, several actresses from Bengaluru have made a mark in Telugu cinema, with Srinidhi Shetty being a notable example. Her predecessor, Anushka Shetty, brought considerable attention to the Shetty name, and her success set a benchmark in Tollywood.
Recently, Srinidhi Shetty addressed questions about her connection to Anushka Shetty. When asked if she is related to Anushka, Srinidhi clarified that there is no close family tie. She explained that the Shetty surname is common in Karnataka, and distant connections might exist, but they aren’t closely related.
Srinidhi also shared her admiration for Anushka, noting that the actress has been an inspiration. She appreciates Anushka’s grounded nature and aims to maintain the same down-to-earth attitude in her own life and career.
Regarding her work style, Srinidhi mentioned that while shooting in Hyderabad, she prefers a simple routine — reaching the hotel and heading straight to the set the next day without indulging in unnecessary activities. She also noted that she hasn’t yet made close friends in the city.
Srinidhi entered Tollywood with Hit 3, where she starred opposite Nani, and the film performed well at the box office. Following that, she featured in Telusu Kadda, and her name is being considered for several upcoming projects. Although her Tollywood career started relatively slowly, she is now moving toward stronger opportunities, and industry observers predict a promising future for her.
Her success story resonates with the growing presence of Kannada actresses in Tollywood. Srinidhi also gained pan-Indian recognition with KGF, further solidifying her rising star status in the industry.
Pradeep Ranganadh to Direct Sci-Fi Thriller

BRS Leaders Condemn Attack on CJI Gavai
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao has strongly condemned the recent attempted attack on Chief Justice of India, B.R. Gavai, calling it a shocking sign of rising intolerance in the country.
“The intolerance in our country has reached its highest levels; an outrageous sign of this was witnessed yesterday in the Supreme Court when CJI Gavai was attacked. I strongly and unequivocally condemn the attempt,” Rama Rao wrote on X. He added, “This shameful assault on judicial dignity is not just an attack on an individual but on the institution itself. No disagreement, even on sensitive issues like faith, justifies violence. Such behavior threatens the foundation of democracy itself.”
Former IPS officer and BRS leader R.S. Praveen Kumar also condemned the attack, stating, “An attack on the Hon’ble Chief Justice of India in open court by an alleged advocate is utterly condemnable. If this can happen to the Chief Justice in broad daylight, imagine the risk to ordinary citizens. This reflects a deeper malaise where vulnerable citizens are being influenced by retrogressive and fundamentalist forces. It is crucial that internal security agencies like IB, NIA, CBI, and state intelligence maintain strict vigilance against such radicalisation to protect our democratic institutions.”
Other BRS leaders, including former minister Harish Rao and Telangana Jagruthi leader K. Kavitha, echoed the condemnation. Kavitha remarked, “An assault on the head of our judiciary is an attack on the very foundation of our democracy. Such actions have no place in a democratic society.”
The leaders have demanded swift action to bring the perpetrators to justice and emphasized the need to safeguard democratic institutions from such threats.
Hyderabad Student Shot Dead in Dallas, Suspect Arrested
Law enforcement officials in the United States have arrested the suspect behind the killing of an Indian student from Hyderabad in Dallas, Texas.
Authorities identified 23-year-old Richard Florez as the alleged shooter of 28-year-old Chandrashekar Pole, who was working a part-time job at a Fort Worth gas station on Eastchase Parkway last Friday night. Following the shooting, Florez fled the scene, fired at another vehicle about a mile away without causing injuries, and later crashed into a gate while attempting to enter a nearby residence. Police apprehended him shortly afterward and recovered a firearm from his vehicle.
“They also recovered a gun inside the vehicle at that scene… The suspect is currently in the hospital, but he has been booked for the homicide,” said Officer Brad Perez of the Fort Worth Police Department. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner confirmed Pole’s death at the scene.
Chandrashekar Pole had completed his BDS in Hyderabad and moved to the US two years ago to pursue an MS, which he finished six months ago. To support himself while searching for a job, he worked part-time at the gas station.
The Consulate General of India in Houston is in contact with Pole’s family to assist in repatriating his remains.
The incident has sparked concern among Indian-American communities and international students in the US, highlighting safety issues for students working part-time jobs, particularly during late hours. This case follows several recent incidents involving Indian students in the US, including shootings and unexplained deaths, raising further alarm over their safety.
Vijay Deverakonda Safe After Car Accident
Actor Vijay Deverakonda has spoken out after reports surfaced about his car being involved in an accident. The Arjun Reddy and Liger star took to Instagram Stories to reassure fans that he is perfectly fine and there’s no need to worry.
Sharing an update, Vijay wrote,
“All is well ❤️ Car took a hit, but we are all fine. Went and did a strength workout as well and just got back home. My head hurts but nothing a biryani and sleep won’t fix. So, biggest hugs and my love to all of you. Don’t let the news stress you 🤗❤️.”
According to reports, the actor was visiting Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s Maha Samadhi in Puttaparthi with his family when the accident occurred. The incident reportedly took place on the Hyderabad–Bengaluru Highway in Telangana’s Jogulamba Gadwal district while they were returning to Hyderabad.
Vijay’s Lexus LM350 was allegedly hit from behind by another vehicle that sped away without stopping. Fortunately, no one was injured. After the collision, Vijay continued his journey to Hyderabad in a friend’s car.
Reports also state that Vijay’s driver has filed a police complaint, and an investigation into the incident is currently underway.
