Mahesh Babu Stays Low-Key Ahead of GlobeTrotter Update

Superstar Mahesh Babu, who’s usually spotted at Hyderabad airport multiple times a month, has recently taken a step back from his frequent travels. Known for his love of vacations—often taking seven to eight trips abroad every year—Mahesh also travels extensively for his film shoots.
However, in the last two months, the actor has stayed away from the paparazzi’s lens. After wrapping up a short schedule in Kenya for his upcoming film GlobeTrotter, Mahesh has been spending most of his time in Hyderabad, either at home or on local sets.
Director SS Rajamouli is reportedly planning to return to Kenya in December for the next major schedule of the film. With that in mind, Mahesh has cut down his public appearances and travel plans for now.
Meanwhile, Rajamouli’s team is preparing for a major reveal — the official title and first glimpse of the film are expected to drop next month.
GlobeTrotter (working title) stars Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra, and Prithviraj Sukumaran, and is one of the most anticipated pan-Indian films currently in production.
OpenAI Partners with AMD to Deploy 6 GW of AI Compute Power Using Instinct MI450 Chips

OpenAI has entered into a landmark partnership with AMD to secure the massive computing power needed to train and run its next-generation artificial intelligence models. The agreement, announced on Monday, will see OpenAI deploy up to 6 gigawatts of GPUs, beginning with AMD’s Instinct MI450 chips in the second half of 2026.
OpenAI President Greg Brockman said the move addresses the growing global demand for AI infrastructure, noting that the industry faces “absolute compute scarcity” as usage of AI systems surges. He added that the partnership will help OpenAI prepare for the future “compute desert” looming over the industry.
CEO Sam Altman called the collaboration “a major step in building the compute capacity needed to realize AI’s full potential,” crediting AMD’s high-performance chip technology for enabling faster progress.
While OpenAI remains closely partnered with Nvidia, Brockman emphasized that expanding to AMD is crucial for scaling compute capacity. AMD’s CEO Lisa Su described the deal as a long-term strategic partnership and revealed that OpenAI has received a warrant for up to 160 million AMD shares, tied to performance milestones.
The market reacted sharply to the announcement, with AMD shares soaring more than 38% in early trading Monday.
Dacoit Release Postponed, December Films Lineup Updates

In the Telugu film industry, one thing that never seems to change is the constant shuffle of release dates. Nowadays, it’s rare for a film to hit theaters without facing multiple delays. The latest film affected by this trend is “Dacoit.”
Adivi Sesh’s upcoming film has been under scrutiny due to prolonged shoots and repeated postponements, which have led to rising production costs. Originally scheduled for a December 25 release, “Dacoit” has now been pushed to February 2026.
With “Dacoit” stepping out of the December race, producer Ashwini Dutt has quickly announced Roshan Meka’s “Champion” to take the Christmas weekend slot.
Adding to the festive lineup, Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas is gearing up to release “Tyson Naidu,” directed by Saagar K Chandra of Bheemla Nayak fame. After a modest run with Kishkindhapuri, Bellamkonda is back with this much-anticipated film, which has been in production for over two years and is finally set to hit theaters this December.
Schengen to Launch Digital Entry/Exit System from October 12

Beginning October 12, all Schengen countries will launch the long-awaited Entry/Exit System (EES), a major digital upgrade to border management. The new system will replace traditional passport stamping with biometric verification, allowing travellers to clear border control through automated scans of their passport, face, and fingerprints.
The EES, first announced in 2022, aims to make travel faster, safer, and more transparent. It will electronically record the time, place, and duration of each visit to the Schengen Area, helping authorities monitor the 90-day limit for short-term stays and identify overstayers or fraudulent identities. Data collected will remain valid for three years, streamlining travel for frequent visitors.
For travellers from non-EU countries—including the UK and India—this means faster, contactless processing at airports, seaports, and land borders. Once registered, subsequent entries into any Schengen country will require only a quick biometric scan, significantly reducing wait times.
In tandem with EES, Schengen visas are also going digital. From October 12, new visas will feature a secure barcode instead of the traditional sticker, simplifying verification and reducing the risk of document fraud. The transition to fully digital visas will be completed by April 2026, during which both sticker-based and barcode-based visas will coexist.
These initiatives, including the upcoming ETIAS travel authorisation system, reflect Europe’s broader move toward tech-driven border management. Travellers are advised to ensure complete and accurate visa applications, as errors or incomplete submissions could lead to rejection.
For Indian applicants, VFS Global has confirmed that only documents listed on the official checklist will be accepted for Schengen visa applications to Switzerland, helping ensure a smoother and more efficient process.

Indian Travellers Embrace Solo Trips During Festive Season, Driven by Global Cultural Festivals
A significant shift is unfolding in the travel patterns of Indian tourists, with a growing number choosing solo trips over traditional family vacations — particularly during the festive season. New data from Atlys, a leading visa processing platform, reveals a sharp rise in individual travel, a strong millennial presence in visa applications, and increasing interest in global cultural festivals.
According to Atlys, between September and October 2025, over 71% of all visa applications were for solo travellers — signaling a marked departure from India’s customary family-oriented holiday habits. Among these, millennials accounted for 53.5%, followed by Gen Z (29.7%) and Gen X (14.6%).
Short-haul international destinations remain the top preference, with the UAE, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka emerging as favourites. These countries continue to attract Indian travellers for their affordability, ease of access, and visa convenience. In terms of demographics, 75.9% of applicants were men, while 21.6% were women.
“While family reunions have always defined India’s festive travel, we’re seeing a shift this year,” said Mohak Nahta, Founder and CEO of Atlys. “Many are taking advantage of long weekends to explore new destinations and immerse themselves in different cultures, transforming traditional holidays into enriching travel experiences.”Among international events, Germany’s Oktoberfest has become a major draw for Indian solo travellers. Atlys’ data shows that nearly two-thirds of Schengen visa applications during the festive window were for Germany — largely motivated by the festival’s growing popularity. The majority of these applicants were solo millennial men, underscoring India’s increasing appetite for experiential travel and cultural immersion.
“The alignment of long weekends with global festivals has encouraged more people to make international travel part of their festive plans,” Nahta added. “Indians are becoming more adventurous, planning their holidays with intention, and seeking cultural experiences abroad.”
Nagarjuna’s 100th Film: King100 Update

Nagarjuna, a veteran of Telugu cinema with a career spanning over four decades, has delivered performances across a wide spectrum of genres, including romantic dramas, action thrillers, devotional films, and horror.
Apart from leading roles, he has also embraced significant supporting characters in other stars’ films, showcasing his versatility. While some of his recent films as a hero didn’t fare well at the box office, he made a strong comeback with Kuberaa, starring Dhanush, and Coolie, starring Rajinikanth. In Kuberaa, he portrayed Deepak, while in Coolie, he surprised audiences by playing Simon, an antagonist—a role he had never attempted before.
For his landmark 100th film, fans eagerly wondered whom he would collaborate with. Instead of opting for a big-name director, Nagarjuna chose Ra Karthik, a relatively new filmmaker who impressed with the Tamil film Nitham Oru Vaanam. Ra Karthik will helm a full-action entertainer starring Nagarjuna, who is also producing the film under his banner, Manam Enterprises.
The film’s launch was held quietly at Annapurna Studios with a simple pooja, and filming is already underway. The 100th project is tentatively titled #King100, with music reportedly composed by Devi Sri Prasad. Rumors suggest that the action-packed drama may be called Lottery King. Fans are eagerly awaiting more updates on this highly anticipated milestone film.
