Former YSR Congress Party general secretary and ex-Rajya Sabha MP V. Vijay Sai Reddy, who has long claimed to be staying away from active politics, surprised many by raising concerns over a “threat to Hindutva.”
In a strongly-worded post on his social media handle X, Sai Reddy called for action against alleged religious conversions, at a time when speculation is rife about his possible alignment with a national party, including reports linking him to the BJP.
“Conspiracies against Hinduism will not be tolerated. If anyone tries to lure people with money to convert religions, they must be taught a lesson appropriately,” he wrote, urging the government to set up a committee to investigate religious conversions over the past two decades.
He added, “For the sake of the country and dharma, all social groups within Hindu society must unite. That unity is India’s protection — the Sri Rama Raksha.”
Sai Reddy’s sudden tilt toward a Hindutva-aligned narrative has drawn attention, especially given his previous association with YSRCP, led by Jagan Mohan Reddy, a Christian whom the BJP has often targeted as anti-Hindu. His recent remarks, emphasizing Hindu unity and calling for formal inquiries into conversions, have further fueled speculation about his potential entry into a national party, most likely the BJP.

Paresh Rawal Slams Anupama’s Review
Paresh Rawal stirred a major online storm after reacting to Anupama Chopra’s negative review of Dhurandhar. When the critic called the Ranveer Singh starrer “exhausting” and “overly aggressive,” Paresh hit back on X, bluntly asking whether she was “tired of being Miss Irrelevant.”
His sharp remark instantly became the centre of discussion, overshadowing the review itself.
Anupama had described the film as loud, clunky, and filled with extreme nationalism, while also pointing out its lengthy runtime and the use of real-life incidents. However, many viewers strongly disagreed, praising the film’s performances and calling it a gripping, powerful drama.
Paresh Rawal’s unfiltered response only intensified the debate, with social media users taking sides—some supporting the veteran actor, others defending the well-known critic.
Meanwhile, Dhurandhar continued its strong theatrical momentum, posting impressive numbers in its first two days. Despite mixed critical reactions, the film’s box office performance—and Paresh Rawal’s fiery comment—kept it trending across social media.
