In a bizarre incident, claims of cultivation of prohibitively costly hop shoots in Bihar’s Aurangabad have turned out to be false. Hop shoots, known to sell at a whopping Rs 1 lakh per kg, were claimed to have been cultivated in the interiors of Bihar’s Aurangabad. An IAS officer had even tweeted this. But, after a wild goose chase by the media persons, it turned out that no such crop was being cultivated anywhere in India.

The news went viral after IAS officer Supriya Sahoo claimed that one Amresh Singh was cultivating the very costly crop. She said Singh is the first farmer to cultivate hop shoots in India. She tweeted it on March 31 and within no time, over 24000 netizens liked this and over 5000 had retweeted this. The farmer became an instant celebrity.

When curious mediapersons rushed to Amresh Singh’s village, there was no such crop. When asked, the locals said no such crop was being cultivated. Then the mediapersons went to Amresh Singh. Amresh told them that he was cultivating hop shoots in Nalada, which is a good 179 km away. The mediapersons went to Nalanda, but drew a zilch. Later, the district administration has announced that no such crop was being cultivated in the district.

Hop shoots are use in beer making in North America and Europe and are much in demand. However, the weather in Bihar is totally unsuitable for hop shoot cultivation. The netizens are now turning their ire on the IAS officer, who had tweeted without verifying the ground facts.

Tandur municipal chairperson is finding herself in a soup. Ever since, she impersonated on the polling day and cast the vote of her close relative, claiming it to be her vote, she is finding the going very tough. She has been thoroughly exposed by the opposition.

Now, following preliminary investigation, the Tandur police have registered a case against municipal chairperson Tatikonda Swapna. The Congress has filed a complaint with proofs with state election commissioner Sushank Goel. The SEC ordered an inquiry, which found that the allegations were true. Tatikota Swapna has used the vote of her close relative and had even posed for photographs. Later, examinations showed that though the name was the same, the name of the husband was different from that of Swapna’s husband.

On Saturday, she went to the municipal council only to be greeted by angry Congress workers, who shouted slogans against her. They demanded that she be immediately dismissed. Swapna’s case is turning out to be a headache for the TRS.

Finally, at long last, the Congress biggies have decided to enter the field and campaign for senior leader Jana Reddy in Nagarjunasagar. The leaders are now flocking to Nagarjunasagar to campaign in support of Jana Reddy.

PCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy announced that he would be campaigning extensively in the constituency. Soon, party’s working president Revanth Reddy too announced that he would hold road shows and address meetings in Nagarjunasagar. In fact, sources close to Revanth Reddy said that he was to attend the public meeting in Haalia, but could not do so as he reported Corona positive. Already, the party had announced that Donti Madhav Reddy, Shabbir Ali, Dasoju Sravan and others would be incharges of various mandals in the constituency.

Sources said that for the last one week, Jana Reddy went silent and did not campaign in the constituency. His sudden silence has made the party leaders sit up and take notice. Hence the leaders hastily announced their campaign schedules in Nagarjunasagar.

After a brief gap, Pawan Kalyan is arriving with ‘Vakeel Saab’ and fans are eagerly waiting for it. Naturally, a film with Pawan as the lead is bound to have a lot of expectations and ‘Vakeel Saab’ is no different. This remake of ‘Pink’ is a message-oriented film where the ‘Jalsa’ star will be seen as a lawyer.

Directed by Sriram Venu, the trailer increased the hype on this flick and Thaman’s songs have already impressed the listeners. The pre-release event is being held on Sunday and the film is hitting the screens on 9th April. Sources say that Powerstar’s look in this flick is going to be a big highlight. His beard look hasn’t been revealed much in the trailer and Pawan’s scenes in that look are expected to be a treat to the fans.

There were a few who thought that Pawan looked a bit dull and jaded in the lawyer getup with long hair and less beard but we need to wait till the movie releases. As we know, Pawan as a lawyer defends three women in this film and those roles were portrayed by Nivetha Thomas, Anjali and Ananya. Shruti Hassan will be seen as the love interest of Pawan in this flick produced by Dil Raju.

The number of Bollywood stars getting affected by Coronavirus is increasing with each passing day. After Aamir, Ranbir, Bhansali, Alia and others, Bollywood’s superstar Akshay Kumar also joined the list. The ‘Khiladi’ actor took to social media and stated that he tested positive for the coronavirus this morning.

He tweeted, “I wish to inform everyone that, earlier this morning, I have tested positive for COVID-19. Following all the protocols, I have immediately isolated myself. I’m under home quarantine and have sought necessary medical care. I would sincerely request all those that have come in contact with me to get themselves tested and take care.” He claimed that he will be “Back In Action Very Soon.”

Akshay Kumar recently started the shooting of ‘Ram Sethu’ where he will be seen as an archaeologist. Apart from that, he will be seen in ‘Atrangi Re’, ‘Bell Bottom’ and few others.

Police Case filed against Khushbu Sundar for allegedly violating election code!

The Kodambakkam Police shocked Actor-turned-politician, BJP candidate Khushbu Sundar by filing a case for allegedly violating the election code. She is contesting from the Thousand Lights constituency.Going into details, Khushbu Sundar and her supporters visited a mosque on Friday and reportedly distributed pamphlets to the devotees there. She didn’t seek permission from the election authorities to do so, reports claimed.

Citing this as an absolute violation of the model code of conduct, an officer of the additional flying squad moved the cops against the BJP leader for violating the poll code reportedly.Based on the complaint of the on-duty officer, the Kodambakkam Police booked a case against the firebrand leader.

The Kodambakkam Police registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the BJP contestant from the Thousand Lights constituency and her supporters under sections 143 (Punishment for unlawful assembly) and 188 (Disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the IPC.

Handsome hunk Rana Daggubati starrer Virataparvam, billed to be a romantic action entertainer, is fast progressing with its shoot. Except for one schedule, entire shoot is almost wrapped up. The last schedule will commence soon.

Few Hollywood and Bollywood technicians and artists are working for the film. Action sequences are said to be one of the major highlights of the film. Hollywood stunt director Stefan Richter of URI Fame choreographed the action sequences of the film.While Rana and other cast are putting in maximum efforts for action and other episodes, the makers are making the film lavishly for the best quality product.

Sai Pallavi plays the lead actress and Priyamani will be seen in a key role. Venu Udugula of Needi Naadi Oke Kadha fame is directing, while D Suresh Babu and Sudhakar Cherukuri are producing the film that also stars Bollywood actress Nandita Das, Eswari Rao and Zareena Wahab in important roles. Hollywood cameraman Dani Sanchez-Lopez handles cinematography.

No more YSRCP in Telangana, only Sharmila’s party

Ever since YS Sharmila announced her party in Telangana, there has been a lot of political debate in the state. There were a lot of rumours about why Sharmila decided to put up a party in Telangana, and there was even more discussion about this topic in Andhra Pradesh.

Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy had even announced back then that there would be no more YSRCP in Telangana, and that Sharmila’s party would be the YSRCP of Telangana. Following this announcement, almost everyone from Telangana YSRCP shifted to Sharmila’s party and greatly took part in its activities, despite the party not being launched officially yet.

On the other hand, Telangana YSRCP Leader Gattu Srikanth Reddy chose not to join Sharmila’s party, and instead decided to join BJP. Gattu even ignored YS Vijayalakshmi’s personal call to him, and the several attempts made by the close aides of Vijayalakshmi, to convince him to join Sharmila’s party.

Gattu is a very influential politician, and he has the strongest hold in the Huzur Nagar Constituency. He won the 2014 elections from that very constituency but did not take part in the 2018 elections, due to Jagan’s request. There was a lot of backlash on the YSRCP, saying that Gattu and Jagan did not take part in the 2018 elections in support of TRS, but the YSRCP denied all of these claims and said that there was no truth to it.

Whatever the reason may be, Gattu has now decided that he no more wants to be a part of YSRCP and that he wants to be a part of BJP. He has reportedly met with several BJP leaders as well.
