Sujeeth Confirms Prequel & Sequel Plans for OG

Director Sujeeth has subtly indicated that his film OG could pave the way for a second part, though the exact roadmap remains undecided. For now, the team is relishing the film’s success.
In a recent interview, Sujeeth revealed that they are yet to finalize whether the next installment will be a prequel or a sequel. However, he added that the plan is to shoot both versions simultaneously and release them together, similar to how the Baahubali franchise was executed with precise clarity. This approach suggests Sujeeth’s intent to expand OG into a larger cinematic universe without waiting for the outcome of each film.
Music director Thaman, who was also present during the interaction, emphasized that OG has the potential to sustain as a universe for the next decade. Sujeeth further explained that the current film only showcased a glimpse of Pawan Kalyan’s character and that much of his backstory, including his journey in Japan and the aftermath of Arjun Das’ takeover of the port, remains unexplored. These untouched subplots could form the foundation of future parts.
Meanwhile, fans are eager for Pawan Kalyan to allocate dates for OG should he decide to continue acting after the release of Ustaad Bhagat Singh. Given his political and administrative responsibilities, it remains to be seen whether his schedule will allow him to return for the franchise’s ambitious expansion.
Neha Shetty’s Song to Join Pawan Kalyan’s They Call Him OG

Songs have always played a significant role in Telugu cinema, and even today, filmmakers occasionally revisit the tradition of adding numbers after release to enhance the viewing experience. Pawan Kalyan’s latest film They Call Him OG, which opened in theatres on Thursday, is following this path.
Directed by Sujeeth, the film has been receiving strong word of mouth from audiences, with Pawan Kalyan winning praise for his intense action-packed performance. The ensemble cast includes Emraan Hashmi, Priyanka Arul Mohan, Arjun Das, Sriya Reddy, and Prakash Raj. Music is composed by Thaman S, while DVV Danayya and Kalyan Dasari have produced the film under DVV Entertainments.
Ahead of its release, expectations were high for Neha Shetty’s special number, shot in Bangkok in December 2024. The actress herself had teased glimpses from the shoot on social media, which further fueled anticipation. However, the song was missing in the theatrical cut, surprising fans.
Composer Thaman clarified that the decision was made because the song disrupted the film’s narrative flow. Later, the team reworked its presentation and decided to reintroduce it. The track will officially be added to screenings starting Monday.
Meanwhile, the makers are gearing up for a grand success meet in Hyderabad on Wednesday. With positive reception at the box office and Neha Shetty’s special appearance now set to enrich the film, They Call Him OG is expected to maintain its strong run in theatres.

Nani to Team Up with Sujeeth and Prithviraj for a Big South Cinema Project
Natural hero Nani continues to explore ambitious projects aimed at expanding his market reach and solidifying his image in South Indian cinema. In one such strategic move, Nani is set to collaborate with director Sujeeth on an upcoming film. This collaboration was confirmed after Sujeeth, who gained acclaim for his recent film OG, recognized Nani’s potential and signed him on for the project.
The latest buzz surrounding the film reveals that Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran will reportedly play a significant role, reportedly as the main antagonist. Prithviraj, who gained recognition among Telugu audiences with his performance in Prabhas’s Salaar, is expected to bring an exciting dynamic to the film alongside Nani.
This collaboration between Nani, Sujeeth, and Prithviraj is generating considerable anticipation among South Indian film enthusiasts. The inclusion of Prithviraj is not only expected to enhance the film’s narrative appeal but also expand its market reach, attracting audiences across different regions. Strategically, this move positions Nani to engage a wider audience and strengthen the film’s overall commercial potential, marking another smart and calculated step in his career trajectory.
Anil Ravipudi Chiranjeevi Sankranti 2026 comedy film

Director Anil Ravipudi has carved a niche for himself in the comedy genre, consistently delivering box-office hits during the Sankranti festival season. His 2025 release, Sankrantiki Vastunnam, stood out amidst stiff competition from action films like Game Changer and Daku Maharaj, drawing audiences in large numbers with its humor and family-centric appeal.
Looking ahead to Sankranti 2026, Anil teams up with megastar Chiranjeevi for another comedy venture. This time, the landscape is more competitive, with multiple comedy films lined up, including Naveen Polishetty’s Anaganaga Oka Raju and Prabhas’s horror-comedy Raja Saab. Unlike previous years, where Anil’s film often served as the primary comedy relief amidst action-packed releases, the audience will now have several options for laughter and entertainment.
Despite the increased competition, the combination of Anil Ravipudi’s comedic expertise and Chiranjeevi’s star power is expected to draw significant crowds. With a solid market already in place, all that remains is for Anil to deliver engaging content, ensuring a substantial share of the festive box-office success.
