Popular Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn, widely recognized by Telugu audiences for his pivotal role in SS Rajamouli’s RRR, is set to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Telangana government during the upcoming Telangana Rising Global Summit. The summit, scheduled for 8th and 9th December at Bharat Future City, will showcase this major development involving the establishment of a film studio-cum-film city in Hyderabad.
Earlier this year, Ajay Devgn proposed setting up a state-of-the-art film studio in Hyderabad and held discussions with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. Following a positive response from the government, the actor is now moving forward with plans to develop the studio over the next few years.
The Telangana government is expected to provide land and other incentives to support the venture. The studio will reportedly feature cutting-edge facilities for animation, VFX, and AI-powered production, along with a dedicated skill development institute to nurture talent.
In addition to the film studio, the government is entering into an agreement with the Reliance Group of Industries to set up a wildlife conservatory and night safari, modeled after the Vantara Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre in Gujarat. The summit is anticipated to highlight entertainment and tourism as key sectors, with collaborations from major companies aimed at generating employment and business growth in Telangana.

Ranveer Singh Faces Backlash Over IFFI Remarks
Ranveer Singh has found himself at the center of an online controversy after a clip from the IFFI stage went viral. In the video, he is seen praising actor-director Rishab Shetty, but a section of social media feels that his mimicry of a Hindu folk deity appeared disrespectful. Many users, particularly from Karnataka and Tulu-speaking regions, expressed displeasure and urged the actor to issue an apology.
Another point of debate is Ranveer’s remark about a “female ghost” while referring to Shetty’s film Kantara. Viewers argue that this description misrepresented the male deity portrayed in the story. While some critics feel Ranveer’s comments were made casually and without full context, others believe that the backlash has been amplified by ongoing social media discourse.
With his film Dhurandhar set to release on December 5, several users suggest that clarifying his intent—or apologizing if needed—could help contain the controversy. For now, all eyes are on Ranveer as audiences await his response to the growing discussion.
