HYDERABAD: BJP State president Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Sunday slammed the AIMIM party saying that it has been dividing the Hindus, slaughtering Gomata, and conducting funeral processions for terrorists. He also alleged that TRS was hand in glove with the MIM.
Speaking at different Graduate MLC election campaigns, Sanjay said that the TRS was opposing the construction of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya and questioned the pink party, “If Lord Rama is God for you, then why are you not making any sacrifices for the construction of Ram Mandir?” Sanjay alleged that the TRS party was supporting Independent candidates only to divide the vote bank so that BJP would not win the polls. Sanjay Kumar also alleged that the TRS government was bankrupt and doesn’t have funds for developmental projects.

None can stop us from renaming Hyderabad: BJP
HYDERABAD: BJP leader P Muralidhar Rao said Hyderabad’s name will be changed to Bhagyanagar very soon as awareness was being created among the people. Speaking at the ‘Digital Hindu Conclave’ organised by Bharat Niti at Visvesvaraya Bhavan in the city on Sunday, Rao, the leader, amid cheers from supporters, said nobody could stop the renaming from being carried out.
He said the principle behind the move was not just a transformation of the name but the ideology too. Delivering the keynote address, Rao said the shifting of power in India was smooth when compared to any other country.
“Many of the country’s people and intellectuals had expressed apprehensions about the successful working of democracy in India. The people of this country proved them wrong as India is the only model of democracy in the whole world,” he said.

Which country and whose dharma is BJP working for, asks KTR
HYDERABAD: Launching a scathing attack on the BJP, TRS working president KT Rama Rao on Sunday said the saffron party claimed it was working for the country and ‘dharma’ if someone questioned them on their promises, but for “which country and whose dharma?”
Speaking at a meeting organised by the Telangana Union of Working Journalists (TUWJ) here on Sunday, the IT Minister blasted the Opposition parties and asked citizens not to get carried away by their allegations. Stating that Telangana had not received even a single rupee from the Covid-19 stimulus package by the Centre, Rama Rao said, “If we question them, they speak about India and Pakistan, Akbar, Bin-Laden, etc. How are Akbar and Bin Laden connected to Telangana?”
Revanth challenges KTR to join in hunger strike
TPCC working president A Revanth Reddy on Sunday challenged TRS working president and IT Minister KT Rama Rao to join him in launching a hunger strike at Jantar Mantar in Delhi from March 8 to get the pending promises made to the State under the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014, fulfilled. In an open letter to KTR, Revanth said: “I would like to remind you that the CM told Modi during the inauguration of Mission Bhagiratha that the State needed only his love and affection and not any money. Come for the hunger strike, else you will remain as traitors of Telangana in the minds of the people.”
Nani hikes his remuneration astronomically
There was a time when Nani was one of the most bankable stars in Tollywood. All of his films used to put up a good show at the ticket counters regardless of reviews and word of mouth. But that is not the case now. None of his recent films have turned out to be box office blockbusters.
It needs to be said that Nani is in poor run of form currently and his last film ‘V’ which premiered on Amazon Prime last year was declared a dud. But that is not stopping the natural actor from hiking his remuneration astronomically.
Usually Nani charged in the range of Rs 10.50 crores to Rs 11 crores per project. But now, he is quoting in north of Rs 14 crores to sign the dotted line for a project.
Of late, Hindi dubbing, digital, and satellite rights have added more zest to Tollywood’s market. Films featuring top stars and even mid-range actors are fetching good prices from Bollywood production houses and digital streaming platforms. With this in mind, Nani who is still one of the sough-after actors in Telugu cinema has hiked his remuneration.
Nani will next be seen in Tuck Jagadish which is up for release on 23th of April. He is now shooting for Shyam Singha Roy and has also lined up a new project which will start rolling in August.
