శిల్పా-రాజ్ కుంద్రా లుకౌట్ నోటీస్ పై కోర్టు తీర్పు

Share

Ram Mohan Naidu Impresses in National Interview

Share

The nation’s attention has been firmly on Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu following the recent Indigo controversy. While much of the blame has been directed at the young minister, he has remained steadfast, taking responsibility and standing by his duty.

Recently, Naidu sat down with legendary journalist Rajdeep Sardesai for a national media interview, facing a series of challenging questions.

Sardesai asked what sets him apart from other cabinet ministers, who often avoid media scrutiny during crises. Naidu replied, “I take inspiration from our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, and my mentor at the Telugu Desam Party, Mr. Chandrababu Naidu. Our Prime Minister entrusted crucial ministries to young leaders like me, believing that the youth are the future of the country. I am ready to work and learn under his leadership, and situations like these will only make me stronger. As for my mentor Chandrababu, he is a crisis man, and I have evolved a lot by learning from him.”

When asked whether ministers like Ashwini Vaishnav would also face tough questions, Naidu said, “I can’t comment for everyone, but our administration is strong, and all of our ministers are capable enough.”

The young cabinet minister’s composed handling of complex questions and his calm, confident responses earned appreciation even from Rajdeep Sardesai, who complimented Naidu on his remarkable poise.

Modi Advises BJP MPs on Andhra, Telangana Politics

Share

Despite the existing NDA alliance between BJP, TDP, and Janasena, it often appears that Jagan’s YSR Congress Party (YCP) maintains a favorable stance towards the BJP. This is evident in the way YCP frequently votes in favor of NDA proposals in both the Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha, giving off a subtle “surrender” vibe.

However, the NDA does not seem particularly concerned about these signals from YCP, a sentiment reinforced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself.

Modi recently held a tea meeting with 15 MPs from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Andaman & Nicobar. During the interaction, he offered guidance and advice on key political and administrative matters in the Telugu states.

On the issue of misinformation, Modi reportedly instructed MPs to be strong and resilient in countering the false narratives spread by Jagan’s YCP on social media. He emphasized that the BJP should actively challenge these narratives at a fundamental level.

Regarding governance, Modi expressed satisfaction with the Andhra Pradesh administration, praising the leadership and noting the state’s ability to secure multiple investments, which he described as a sign of solid progress.

On the other hand, Modi appeared concerned about the BJP’s performance in Telangana, stating that the party is not utilizing its full potential in opposition. He urged party leaders to be more proactive and to capitalize on the opportunity to expand the BJP’s base in the state.

Radhika Apte Criticises Graphic Violence in Films

Share

Actor Radhika Apte has expressed strong concern over the increasing depiction of graphic violence in Indian films and web series, calling the trend “deeply disturbing.”

Without naming any specific projects, she shared her discomfort with onscreen gore and violence and voiced worries about raising her child in a society that normalizes such content as entertainment. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, she said, “I am deeply disturbed by the violence that is currently being sold as entertainment. I don’t want to raise a child in a world where this is considered entertainment.”

Apte also criticised filmmakers for equating shock value with meaningful storytelling, adding, “I don’t need to see the chopping. That is not storytelling.”

Meanwhile, Radhika will soon be seen in the upcoming OTT release Saali Mohabbat, a crime thriller exploring love and betrayal, which will stream on Zee5 starting December 12.

NBW Issued Against Konda Surekha in KTR Defamation Case

Share

A special court in Nampally on Thursday issued a non-bailable warrant (NBW) against Telangana Endowments Minister Konda Surekha in connection with a defamation case filed by BRS working president and former minister K.T. Rama Rao (KTR).

The case stems from Surekha’s controversial comments last year, in which she allegedly linked KTR to the divorce of actor Akkineni Naga Chaitanya and actress Samantha. According to court records, Surekha failed to appear before the court despite earlier summons, prompting the issuance of the NBW. The case has now been adjourned to February 5, 2026, and proceedings are expected to intensify given the political sensitivity and prominence of those involved.

In October 2024, KTR filed a criminal defamation case against Surekha, alleging that her remarks were derogatory and constituted misuse of her office. He cited Sections 222 and 223 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Samitha (BNSS), seeking prosecution for defamation.

Around the same time, senior Tollywood actor Nagarjuna also filed a criminal case against Surekha in the Nampally court for making personal remarks against his family, again linking his son’s divorce to KTR. KTR stated, “As there is a possibility that people might think what she has said might be true, I have decided to file a defamation and criminal case against her.”

Interestingly, another politician, Kavitha, accused KTR of drug abuse and exploiting young female actors.

Following the backlash, Surekha retracted her comments against Samantha, stating she had full respect for the actress. However, she clarified that she would stand by her statements against KTR and is prepared to face the legal battle.

SKN Delays 3 Roses to Avoid Akhanda 2

Share

In a rather unusual move, producer SKN announced that his upcoming web series 3 Roses would not be releasing on its earlier planned date, December 12, because Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2 is slated to hit theatres the same day.

Explaining his decision, SKN said, “We are not in competition with Balayya. As a sense of gratitude, we are leaving that date entirely to him. From December 11 to December 12, it’s all Akhanda 2 day. We will arrive on December 13.”

The statement quickly set off waves of laughter and confusion across industry circles and social media.

Many questioned why a web series, which remains available on an OTT platform indefinitely and doesn’t rely on first-day footfalls, would need to vacate a date for a theatrical release. Viewers also pointed out that audiences hardly rush to binge a web series the moment it drops.

Whatever the intention behind it, SKN has long been known for his eccentric, attention-seeking remarks—often a blend of overconfidence and a dash of over-smart ignorance. This episode seems to have strengthened that reputation once again.

Peddi Shoot Moves Ahead Without Delays

Share

Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s Peddi is progressing swiftly with its shoot. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film is set to begin a fresh schedule tomorrow in Hyderabad. As part of this leg, the team will also head to Delhi to film a few crucial sequences. This schedule will run until the end of January.

There is absolutely no delay in the production. Post-production is happening in parallel, and with the completion of this schedule, the entire talkie portion will be wrapped up. So, the rumours about a postponement are completely baseless. Peddi is firmly locked for its release on March 27, 2026, coinciding with Ram Charan’s birthday.

Produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, with Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings presenting it, the film features Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead and Kannada star Shiva Rajkumar in a key role.

The music is composed by Oscar-winner A.R. Rahman, and the first single “Chikiri Chikiri” is already topping the charts, adding to the buzz around the film.

Akhanda 2 Review: Grand Vision, Weak Execution

Share

After clearing financial hurdles and legal delays, Akhanda 2: Thaandavam finally arrives as the final major release of 2025. The hype surrounding the sequel has been massive since its announcement, but the film struggles to carry the weight of expectations placed on it.

Story

The narrative picks up in the aftermath of the Galwan clash. A Chinese general (Sangay Tsheltrim), enraged by his son’s death, teams up with a strategist (Saswata Chatterjee) to weaken India from within. Their dangerous plan involves poisoning the Ganga during the Kumbh Mela, triggering national panic and a crisis of faith.

At the same time, Janani (Harshaali Malhotra), a gifted DRDO scientist, develops a life-saving vaccine. While she is transported to Ladakh for mass production, the Chinese forces target her mission. With danger looming over the nation, Akhanda (Nandamuri Balakrishna) returns in an older, more intense avatar to protect Janani and reestablish Sanatana Dharma.

Performances

Balakrishna appears in three shades — Balamurali Krishna, a young Aghora, and an aged Aghora. Despite his signature ferocity in select action and dialogue scenes, the overall performance doesn’t match the impact of the first film. The freshness and mystique of the original Aghora characterization are noticeably missing.

Aadhi Pinishetty and Sangay Tsheltrim make little impression because of poorly developed antagonist roles. Samyuktha’s character feels redundant, and her romantic track with Balakrishna is awkwardly conceived. The pleasant surprise is Harshaali Malhotra, who delivers a confident Telugu debut.

Technical Aspects

Thaman’s work disappoints on both the musical and background score fronts. None of the songs stand out, including the “Jajikaya” track, and the BGM feels noisy rather than impactful.

Visually, the film scores high with rich frames and large-scale cinematography. However, the subpar VFX and uneven editing dilute several key moments. Dialogues follow the familiar Boyapati–Balayya formula, with Sanatana Dharma lines being the highlight.

Strengths

  • Well-executed pre-interval sequence
  • One strong Sanatana Dharma dialogue block

Weaknesses

  • Weak first half with minimal momentum
  • Flat storyline and predictable screenplay
  • Forced mix of patriotism and devotion
  • Underwhelming villains
  • Uninspiring music

Analysis

Boyapati and Balakrishna’s earlier collaborations worked because their formula — powerful villains, emotional flashbacks, dual roles, and high-voltage action — struck the right balance. Akhanda 2 tries to amplify this formula by weaving in Chinese aggression, bioterrorism, Hindu mythology, divine interventions, and emotional subplots. But instead of creating an epic canvas, it ends up feeling cluttered and directionless.

The film also borrows heavily from recent devotional blockbusters like Hanu-Man and Mahavatar Narasimha, featuring animated deities, mythological battles, and divine cameos. These moments feel forced rather than organic.

Balakrishna’s limited presence in the first half weakens the build-up. In an attempt to recreate the mass euphoria of Akhanda, Boyapati inserts the original “Jai Balayya” song and even adds a shirt-drop moment, but these feel like patchwork rather than purposeful choices.

The second half is filled with action blocks, yet logic is thrown out entirely — from a trishool blocking bullets to the Chinese army trying to blow up Kailasa Parvata. Emotional beats lack depth, and the villains never pose a real threat. Even the divine interventions fail to evoke awe due to exaggerated staging.

Thankfully, the film ends without teasing another sequel.

Bottom Line

Akhanda 2 is an ambitious but uneven sequel weighed down by weak writing, loud execution, and a lack of emotional core. Despite its scale and a few good moments, it ultimately lands as a disappointing follow-up.
