The High Command is reportedly planning to appoint Konda Surekha as the party’s working president. Konda has good relations with the BC community as well as experience as a minister.
Former minister DK Aruna, who played a key role in the party, seems to be intent on bringing in a strong woman leader to help Congress as Vijaya Shanti joined BJP.
