Rajamouli’s Remarks Spark Controversy

Share

Sensational filmmaker SS Rajamouli has found himself at the center of controversy after making atheistic remarks about Lord Hanuman during the Globetrotter launch event. His comments, in which he reportedly stated that he does not believe in Hanuman, have sparked a major backlash.

Following the incident, members of the Rashtriya Vanara Sena filed a complaint against the director at the Saroornagar Police Station. They alleged that Rajamouli’s remarks were derogatory and had deeply hurt the sentiments of Hindus. The organisation also expressed concern over what they describe as an increasing trend of disrespect towards Hindu deities within the film industry.

The Saroornagar Police have acknowledged the complaint but have not yet taken any action. Further updates on the matter are awaited.

Huma Qureshi’s Bold Turn with Delhi Crime 3

Share

Huma Qureshi is on a career high with two successive hits. As Rani Bharti rises to national political prominence in Maharani 4, the actor plunges into her darkest territory yet with Delhi Crime 3. This time, she embodies “Badi Didi”, a ruthless human trafficker with no trace of empathy—arguably one of the most chilling characters she has played.

Grateful for the overwhelming response, Huma credits her directors and producers for backing her through challenging material. “From being criticised for my performance in the early Maharani days to now receiving so much praise, it has been overwhelming. And stepping into Badi Didi’s world was both daunting and exhilarating,” she says.

Portraying the character came with emotional weight. “I realised the responsibility. I wanted people to hate her so intensely that they hated the crime itself. I had to treat those trafficked girls as ‘products’ because that’s how she sees them. If systemic injustice isn’t stopped, today’s victims become tomorrow’s criminals. It’s not about gender—this crime keeps reproducing itself.”

Despite her digital success, Huma admits she is disheartened by the theatrical performance of Single Salma. She criticises the industry’s “women-oriented” label, saying it reveals more about the system than the stories. “Single Salma barely got shows or proper promotion, even when people were talking about my work. There’s a lot of gatekeeping. Everything is decided on an Excel sheet. I wish we let the audience choose instead of choosing for them.”

Next, Huma steps into the world of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups, starring opposite Yash. Though tight-lipped about her role, she hints, “The premise is exciting. It’s arguably the biggest film being made in India. Fans are in for a treat.”

Varanasi Team’s Surprise Early Promotions Grab Attention

Share

After the massive title launch of Varanasi at Ramoji Film City, the buzz hadn’t even settled when the team sprung yet another surprise. In an unusual move—especially for a Rajamouli film—Mahesh Babu, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Priyanka Chopra sat down for early promotional interviews even though a significant portion of the shoot is still pending. Rajamouli’s projects usually stay heavily guarded until the final stages, but Varanasi seems to be playing by a new rulebook, letting the hype take shape much earlier.

Interestingly, before the interviews even dropped, it was their coordinated look that caught everyone’s eye. All three arrived in black, almost like an accidental uniform. Priyanka wore a chic black top paired with a netted floral skirt—light, stylish, and effortlessly graceful. Prithviraj opted for a no-nonsense, all-black ensemble that perfectly matched his understated persona. Mahesh, meanwhile, gently broke the all-black streak with a black shirt and blue trousers—simple, clean, yet visually anchoring the frame.

Priyanka later shared the photos with a warm, candid note about working alongside two major stars and promoting the film to international media nearly a year in advance. Her excitement reflected in the reactions she described, and she signed off casually with “Jai Shri Ram” and #Varanasi, leaving fans wondering what other surprises the team has in store.

45 Hyderabad Pilgrims Killed in Saudi Arabia Bus Crash

Share

+The Telangana Haj Committee on Monday confirmed that all 45 victims of the devastating bus accident in Saudi Arabia were pilgrims from Hyderabad, clearing earlier confusion surrounding the casualty figures. Officials stated that complete details of the deceased will be released soon.
The pilgrims, who were travelling through four different tour operators, had completed their Mecca rituals and were heading to Medina when their bus collided with a diesel tanker at Mufrihat, about 25 km from Medina. The impact triggered a massive fire that left no survivors among the 45 passengers onboard.
According to the Haj Committee, the victims included 17 men and 28 women from localities such as Mallepally, Bazaarghat, and Asifnagar in Hyderabad.
Pilgrimage Details
Hyderabad City Police reported that the group originally consisted of 54 pilgrims who left for Jeddah on November 9 for a tour scheduled until November 23. Among them:

Four travelled separately to Medina by car,

Four stayed back in Mecca,

Forty-six continued their journey to Medina by bus.

At the time of the accident, 45 pilgrims were on board. Only one man, Abdul Shoaib, survived and is undergoing treatment at a local hospital, Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar said.
The collision occurred at around 1:30 a.m. IST, causing an immediate blaze that engulfed the bus. Officials noted that many passengers were asleep, contributing to the high death toll.
The Indian Embassy in Jeddah has set up a dedicated control room to coordinate assistance, while rescue and identification efforts continue.
Leaders Condemn Tragedy
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed profound grief and extended condolences to the families of the victims. He assured that the Embassy in Riyadh and the Consulate in Jeddah were providing all necessary support in coordination with Saudi authorities. Leaders and community representatives across India described the incident as one of the most tragic accidents involving Indian pilgrims in recent history.

Pooja Hegde Chooses Films Over Marriage

Share

Pooja Hegde is in no rush to tie the knot. Despite ongoing speculation about her personal life, the actress has made it clear that marriage is not on her immediate agenda.

After experiencing a career lull two years ago, Pooja made a powerful comeback in 2025. She impressed audiences with her performance alongside Suriya in Retro, while her special number in Rajinikanth’s Coolie became a nationwide sensation.

With three successful releases in 2025 and Vijay’s Jana Nayakudu lined up for January 2026, Pooja has firmly re-established herself in the limelight. Additionally, she is set to star alongside Dulquer Salmaan in a Telugu film in 2026, further strengthening her lineup for the year ahead.

At 35+, many actresses consider settling down, but Pooja seems to be charting a different course. She has subtly hinted that she prefers to continue taking on exciting projects rather than focusing on marriage at this stage of her life.

With a strong slate of films and renewed momentum, Pooja Hegde is clearly prioritizing her cinematic journey over settling down—and the industry is taking notice.

Dulquer Salmaan’s Kaantha Fails to Click Despite Strong Performance

Share

Malayalam superstar Dulquer Salmaan has consistently won hearts with films like Mahanati, Bangalore Days, OK Bangaram, and Sita Ramam. His style and acting have also made him a favorite among Telugu audiences, with every new project generating excitement.

His latest film, Kaantha, released on Children’s Day, November 14, co-starring Bhagya Shree Borse and Rana Daggubati. Set in 1950s Madras, the period mystery thriller revolves around director Ayya, his tense relationship with star T.K. Mahadevan, and a murder on the set of Mahadevan’s film, investigated by Inspector Devaraj. Dulquer co-produced the film alongside Rana and others, having been interested in the script for years, which made him deeply invested in the project.

However, the film failed to make a strong impact. In three days, it collected just Rs 18 crore worldwide, and it seems unlikely to see much growth. Critics praised Dulquer’s performance as a standout, but the story didn’t resonate, leaving fans disappointed despite his efforts.

Now, comparisons are being drawn with Suriya, who balances mass entertainers with experimental films. While Suriya’s acting often earns praise even when a movie underperforms, fans are watching closely to see if Dulquer can strike that balance—delivering strong performances in films that also succeed with audiences.

Sridevi Apalla Shines in Telugu & Tamil Films

Share

Sridevi Apalla, who impressed audiences with the legal drama Court: State vs A Nobody—starring Priyadarshi Pulikonda, P. Sai Kumar, Sivaji, and Rohini, directed by Ram Jagadeesh and produced by Nani’s Wall Poster Cinema—is on a remarkable roll.

She has already signed her second Telugu film, Bandmelam, alongside Roshan, and the first look and glimpses of the movie are generating significant buzz. Now, she is set to make her Tamil debut with a bilingual project directed by Yuvraj Chinnasamy. Abishek Joseph George and Sridevi are part of the cast, and the film is produced by Mini Studios.

In addition, Sridevi has signed her second Tamil film under Joe Production House. While Femina George plays the lead role, Sridevi steps in as a key supporting character. The film promises a blend of youthful energy and emotional depth, with music by Vijay Bulganin, who also scored Baby and Court. Though she is not in the lead, Sridevi’s supporting role is significant and impactful, showcasing her versatility in South cinema.

The makers are confident that this bilingual project will resonate with both Telugu and Tamil audiences. All this comes just a year after Court, which grossed nearly ₹50 crores under Nani’s Wall Poster Cinema banner. Clearly, Sridevi Apalla is an actress to watch out for in the coming years.

Varanasi Glimpse: Mahesh Babu Meets Fierce Chinnamasta Devi

Share

Virtually everything that Rajamouli touches turns into gold, and his upcoming Varanasi with Mahesh Babu seems no different. One particular shot from the Varanasi glimpse is already capturing attention, and it’s worth exploring its significance.

The shot features Chinnamasta Devi, a powerful and rare form of Goddess Parvati, known for her fierce appearance and deep symbolic meaning. In mythology, she is depicted without a head, holding it in her hand, with three streams of blood flowing from her neck.

One stream flows into her own mouth, while the other two are consumed by her companions, Jaya and Vijaya, also known as Dakini and Varini. This form represents sacrifice, courage, and the idea of sharing one’s energy with others even in the most challenging situations.

There are two popular stories associated with her. In one, Parvati is bathing in a river with Dakini and Varini when they suddenly feel hungry. To satiate them, she cuts off her own head and lets them drink her blood. In another tale, during a great battle, Jaya and Vijaya’s energies start to wane, and Parvati restores their strength by sacrificing her head once again, sharing her power through her blood.

Despite her fearsome appearance, Chinnamasta Devi is revered as a goddess of compassion and protection. She is primarily worshipped by followers of Tantra traditions, and temples dedicated to her are rare, mostly found in North India and Nepal. The Varanasi glimpse beautifully captures this mysterious and intense divine energy, adding depth and intrigue to the film.

Meenakshi Chaudhary Stuns in Elegant Red Dress

Meenakshi Chaudhary stuns in a graceful red dress, exuding subtle glam without revealing too much. Her glowing skin and long, perfectly groomed hair frame her face beautifully, while delicate earrings add a soft shimmer that catches the light.

The series emphasizes poise over boldness. Her poses are calm, her presence steady, radiating a sensuous confidence. The red dress flows in clean lines, letting her natural shape shine through her posture and movements.

Each frame feels measured and serene, with expressions that shift effortlessly between warmth and composed focus, striking a balance between beauty and restraint. The overall mood is elegant and visually captivating, relying entirely on her refined presence rather than any flashy elements.
