Prabhas’ Fauzi Announced as Two-Part Epic Period Drama

Mythri Movie Makers has officially announced their upcoming film “Fauzi”, starring Prabhas, which will be made as a two-part series, with the second film serving as a prequel. This marks Prabhas’ first collaboration with the team behind Sita Ramam and promises a fictionalized retelling of historical events.

Sheikh Hasina Sentenced to Death by Bangladesh Tribunal

It is already known that Bangladesh witnessed severe unrest last year during the widespread protests against the Sheikh Hasina administration. The student-led uprising turned extremely violent, resulting in large-scale chaos across the country and the loss of hundreds of lives. In the aftermath, then–Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina fled Bangladesh and sought political refuge in Delhi. Since her ouster, she has remained in India and has not returned to Bangladesh.
Now, in a major development, a special tribunal court in Bangladesh has delivered its verdict in the case related to Sheikh Hasina. The judgment has come as a significant and shocking update. The court has sentenced the former Prime Minister to the death penalty. This verdict was issued in absentia, as she continues to stay in exile in India.
According to the court, Sheikh Hasina has been convicted on charges of crimes against humanity, linked to the intense 36-day student-driven protests that took place between July and August 2024—an unrest that ultimately led to her removal from power. Reports estimated that nearly 1,400 people may have lost their lives during the crackdown allegedly carried out under her orders.
With the tribunal pronouncing the death sentence, the next question is what happens when or if Sheikh Hasina returns to Bangladesh. It now remains to be seen whether the verdict will be enforced, challenged, or altered through future legal or political developments.
Apple Accelerates Succession Plan for Tim Cook

Apple is reportedly fast-tracking its long-term succession strategy as speculation grows around the future of chief executive Tim Cook. According to a report by The Financial Times, the 65-year-old leader—who has guided Apple since succeeding Steve Jobs in 2011—may consider stepping down as early as next year.
The publication notes that Apple’s board and top executives have recently intensified discussions around leadership transition, aiming to ensure stability and continuity at the world’s most valuable technology company.
Among the potential successors, John Ternus, Apple’s senior vice president of hardware engineering, is widely viewed as the frontrunner. Ternus, 50, oversees development across Apple’s flagship product lines, including the iPhone, Mac, and iPad. His elevation to the executive team in 2021 was seen by analysts as a strategic move positioning him for the top role. A two-decade veteran of the company, Ternus has played a pivotal role in shaping Apple’s hardware innovations.
Tim Cook’s 14-year tenure has delivered unprecedented financial growth, cementing Apple’s leadership in the global tech industry. The ongoing succession efforts highlight the company’s focus on long-term planning as it prepares for its next era.
While the exact timeline remains undisclosed, industry observers believe Apple is unlikely to make any leadership announcements before releasing its first-quarter earnings report in late January—covering the key holiday sales period.
Apple has not issued an official statement regarding the growing speculation around its leadership transition.
