Charming star Sharwa’s upcoming film Biker is all set for a December 6 release. Directed by Abhilash Reddy Kankara under the UV Creations banner, the film features music by Ghibran.

The first single, Pretty Baby, is set to release tomorrow, and its promo has already generated significant excitement. Judging by the visuals, the track promises a lively dance number with energetic moves, stylish choreography, and catchy electronic beats. Sharwa and Malvika Nair dazzle in trendy outfits against neon-lit backgrounds, adding glamour and charm to the sequence.

The film had already created a buzz with its First Lap Glimpse, raising audience expectations. Biker also stars Rajasekhar in a crucial role, adding further anticipation for the release.

Dulquer Salmaan’s Kaantha: Tribute to Tamil Cinema Legends

Share

As Kaantha gears up for its release on November 14, some PR campaigns have promoted the Dulquer Salmaan starrer as a biopic inspired by Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR), seemingly to attract nostalgic audiences familiar with Telugu cinema’s golden era.

However, Kaantha is not based on ANR’s life. Set in 1950s Madras, the film draws inspiration from M. K. Thyagaraja Bhagavathar (MKT) — Tamil cinema’s first superstar who ruled the screen before M. G. Ramachandran. While producers and Dulquer Salmaan have clarified that the film is not a direct biopic, its period setting, themes, and character arcs reflect key moments from MKT’s dramatic career, including personal controversies and eventual downfall.

Industry observers suggest that the Telugu media’s “ANR connection” narrative may be a marketing tactic to enhance regional appeal, given Dulquer’s strong bilingual following. In reality, Kaantha is a fictionalized homage to Tamil cinema’s pre-MGR legends rather than a portrayal of ANR or any Telugu star.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga Gears Up for Prabhas’ Spirit

Share

Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has made a remarkable impact with just three films. His debut, Arjun Reddy with Vijay Devarakonda, became a sensational box office hit despite its bold narrative, establishing him as one of Tollywood’s most sought-after directors. He later made a strong mark in Bollywood with back-to-back hits Kabir Singh and Animal.

Sandeep’s irreverent attitude and candid approach to critics often draw comparisons with maverick filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma. Like RGV, he does not hesitate to voice his opinions during media interactions, earning admiration from both audiences and industry insiders. Interestingly, RGV himself has praised Sandeep’s craft and conviction.

Even India’s biggest director, S.S. Rajamouli, holds Sandeep Reddy in high regard. During a recent movie event, Rajamouli compared him to RGV, noting that directors of his caliber come once in a blue moon. After the release of Animal, Rajamouli reportedly called him ‘RGV ka Baap’—a fact RGV revealed during a roundtable discussion with Nagarjuna and Sandeep as part of promotions for Shiva 4K.

Rajamouli admires Sandeep’s unconventional style, particularly his bold approach to character development and scene-writing. This recognition highlights the respect Sandeep has earned from some of the biggest names in Indian cinema despite having directed only three films. Up next, he is set to direct Prabhas in the much-anticipated cop drama titled Spirit.

Vijay’s Jana Nayagan Set as Grand Cinematic Farewell

Share

For over three decades, Superstar Rajinikanth reigned supreme in Tamil cinema, enjoying unmatched stardom and a fan following that extended far beyond Tamil Nadu. Around a decade ago, however, Vijay rose to prominence with blockbusters like Thupakki, Kaththi, and Mersal, surpassing even Rajinikanth in box office success and establishing himself as Tamil cinema’s leading star.

Now, as Vijay prepares to step into politics, his upcoming film Jana Nayagan is expected to be his cinematic farewell. Fans and industry insiders anticipate one final blockbuster before he embarks on his political journey. While a return to films remains a possibility depending on his political path, Jana Nayagan is being crafted as a memorable sendoff.

The film’s climax, originally designed to be deeply emotional, has been fine-tuned following Vijay’s input. The finale will celebrate his illustrious cinematic journey and the enduring bond he shares with the industry. Directors closely associated with Vijay, including Atlee, Lokesh Kanagaraj, and Nelson, are set to make cameo appearances in a symbolic sequence where Vijay passes the baton to the next generation of filmmakers and stars.

Adding to the spectacle, the recently released song Thalapathy Kacheri will feature a high-energy one-minute dance sequence towards the end. The film will close with a montage of Vijay’s iconic moments, culminating in his signature bow as a final salute to his fans—a fitting tribute to a legendary career.

Konda Surekha Clarifies Nagarjuna Remarks

Share

Minister Konda Surekha has issued a clarification on social media regarding her earlier comments about Tollywood actor Akkineni Nagarjuna. In her post, she emphasized that her remarks were never intended to offend or disrespect Nagarjuna or his family.

“I want to clarify that the statement I made about Nagarjuna Garu was not meant to hurt him or any of his family members. I had no intention of causing pain or defaming them in any way. I regret if my words gave a wrong impression, and I hereby withdraw those remarks,” Surekha wrote.

Her post has attracted attention as the legal case is still ongoing, with many seeing it as an attempt to resolve the issue peacefully.

Previously, while criticizing K T Rama Rao (KTR), Surekha had made objectionable remarks about Nagarjuna’s family and Samantha, which angered the actor. Although she had apologized earlier on social media, Nagarjuna chose to pursue legal action.

However, some observers have noted that Surekha’s recent clarification does not specifically mention Samantha, who was also reportedly hurt by the earlier remarks. Many feel it would have been more appropriate to include her name while expressing regret.

Peddi First Single Chikiri Chikiri Becomes Chartbuster, Film Hype Builds

Share

Music has become one of the biggest crowd-pullers in today’s cinema. A hit song can significantly influence a film’s opening, regardless of its scale. Keeping this in mind, the team of Peddi is adopting a music-first strategy to maintain the buzz leading up to the release.

Starring Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, Peddi is directed by Buchi Babu Sana with music composed by A.R. Rahman. The first single, Chikiri Chikiri, was released recently and recorded massive numbers across all platforms, quickly turning into a chartbuster with its catchy tune and peppy vibe.

Interestingly, the makers released the song five months before the film’s release, a rare and risky move in today’s times. However, the strategy seems to be paying off: the song is keeping the hype alive and generating anticipation for the film. The team is reportedly planning to release the second song around New Year’s, which is said to be Ram Charan’s theme song, leaning towards a more mass-appeal style, in contrast to the playful romantic vibe of Chikiri Chikiri.

Buchi Babu Sana appears to be following a tried-and-tested formula. His debut film faced delays due to the pandemic, but its songs became major hits, helping create massive buzz by the time the movie released. That accidental success now seems to have evolved into a well-planned promotional strategy for Peddi.

The film also features Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyendu Sharma in key roles. Produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas in association with Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, Peddi is scheduled for a grand theatrical release on March 27, 2026.
