USA: On Turning 21, Apply For Student Visa Or Move To India
The United States immigration policy is getting tougher and tougher. Now it is going to be a curse of children who would be aging 21 years.
H1B visa holders who get their kids to US will be given H4 visa and after the children turning 21 years, they should apply for international student visa (F-1) or move back to India. This makes it difficult for them as there is no assurance that they would get student visa in US while if they return to country, they would take time to get settled here.
The another disadvantage for children residing in US and seeking a student visa, is they need to prove a non-immigration intent which is a big problem.
Recently the US Senate has blocked one of the bills lifting the limit of issuing green card for immigrant workers. This has severely impacted the Indian workers and as per April 2018, about 6.32 Lakh Indian workers are waiting for green card. Apart from H1B, there are Indian employees falling in EB2, EB3 visa groups and their application for green card would take another half-century, cited an immigrant based think-tank.
Saaho Final Figures: 2019’s Highest Earner
Prabhas has yet again proved his stardom with his action thriller Saaho turning out to be this year’s highest earner in the country. With 424 Crore-plus world-wide Gross i.e 232.6 Crore Share, Saaho becomes highest earner of 2019.
Estimated to have made with a whopping budget of Rs 350 Crore, the film’s non-theatrical rights have fetched 138 Crore and theatrical world-wide full-run share is Rs 232.6 Crore. Overall, the producers made Rs 370 Crore-plus which is a profit venture. However, the distributors of Saaho (Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam) said to have suffered losses. Yet Saaho (Hindi) is a profit venture again as the Hindi version alone did Rs 156 Crore Nett. Overall, Saaho becomes profitable venture for UV Creations and T Series.
With this, Prabhas is only South Superstar to have two pan-India highest grossers – Baahubali & Saaho. This is a great achievement for Prabhas. Despite mixed reviews, Prabhas has shown his dominance at the BO particularly in North belt.

NTR’s Dinner Treat To Yash, Sanjay Dutt
Jr NTR, who is well-known for his hospitality and treating his guests, has invited Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt and Kollywood sensation Yash to his home. NTR has personally invited Yash and Sanjay for dinner at his residence and got made some special dishes of south Indian cuisine.
Yash and Sanjay, who are in Hyderabad shooting for KGF 2 shoot, were more than happy to visit Tarak on Monday night. The duo got a special treat with yummy, special dishes. The trio had good time and had chat about films. Sanjay was said to be elated with Tarak’s treatment and Sanjay said to have invited NTR to come to his home when the latter is in Mumbai. Tarak said he will make it next time.
NTR’s sweet gesture has got him a big friend in Bollywood now. On work front, NTR is busy with the shooting of SS Rajamouli’s epic RRR.
TS High Court refuses to stay release of ‘Sye Raa’
In a relief to film makers of Syeraa Narasimha Reddy starring actor Chiranjeevi, the Telangana High Court on Tuesday refused to stay film release which is scheduled for tomorrow (October 2).
With this, the movie will be released as scheduled on October 2.
The Court dismissed the petition filed by the Tamil Nadu Telugu youth association which alleged that the filmmaker is misleading the people by making biopic film after freedom fighter late Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy.
The Court said that the films have to be seen for entertainment purpose and should not have false apprehensions before the release of the movie.
The Court also referred to the films made on leaders like Mahatma Gandhi and others.
The Court made it clear that it will not interfere in such matters and said it would better to leave it to viewers to judge whether the film was made appropriately or not.
HC shocker to KCR: Demolition of Secretariat stayed
Telangana CM KCR’s plan to demolish Secretariat and build a vastu-complaint new Secretariat in its place received a jolt on Tuesday.
The Telangana High Court issued stay orders on demolition of Secretariat.
It directed state government not to demolish existing Secretariat buildings till it disposes off the case.
A batch of petitions has been filed in the High Court against the decision of TRS government to demolish Secretariat buildings.
The petitioners urged that some hundreds of crores of public money will go waste if Secretariat buildings are demolished.
Besides, the construction of new Secretariat will cost more than Rs 500 crore, which again is a waste of public money.
Earlier, the High Court has dismissed KCR government’s plans to demolish Errum Manzil in Panjagutta, an heritage structure, to construct new Legislative Assembly and Legislative complex.
KCR has laid foundation for construction of new Secretariat and Assembly on June 26.
However, both his plans have gone awry with HC directions.

Chanakya Gets Shocking Deal
Of late, Telugu movies are making a grand moolah from their non-theatrical rights. Especially, the Hindi-dubbing rights, satellite and digital rights are fetching good monies to makers. Action movies are having a good advantage for Hindi-dubbing rights as the regions like Bihar, UP, Odisha have good demand. Even Saaho (Hindi) did extraordinarily well in Bihar, Odisha.
Now, Gopichand-starrer Chanakya said to have fetched Rs 15 Crore to its producers through non-theatrical rights. The Hindi-dubbed rights, Telugu satellite rights and digital rights together apparently earned Rs 15 Crore, confirmed sources close to producer Anil Sunkara. As per production house sources, entire Hindi-dubbed rights of Chanakya were sold for Rs 9 Crore and Telugu satellite rights were acquired by Star MAA for Rs 4 Crore. And Digital rights have fetched another Rs 2 Crore to producers. So, Anil Sunkara has pocketed Rs 15 Crore even before the film’s release.
As the film hits the screens on Oct 5th on Dasara eve, the makers are hopeful that the ongoing holiday and festive season will have an advantage for theatrical release. Let’s see whether Gopi makes a comeback with the spy thriller or not.
Jagan yet to forget Ram Charan’s nasty comment?
YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is someone who generally believes in forget and forgive policy.
However, there are certain people whom Jagan cannot forget so easily and forgive them, because he had had bad experiences with those people.
Like the case of popular Tollywood hero-cum-producer Ram Charan Teja and his mega family.
When Jagan was arrested in connection with a CBI case in 2012 (which he believes was a conspiracy hatched by the Congress and the Telugu Desam Party), Ram Charan made a nasty comment that hurt Jagan terribly.
Cherry took to social media to appreciate the then Congress government for displaying a lot of courage to arrest Jagan. This has been at the back of Jagan’s mind till now.
That could be the reason for the Andhra Pradesh government refusing to give permission for extra shows for megastar Chiranjeevi’s film “Sye Raa” all set to be released on Wednesday.
Normally, it has been the practice for the producers of big ticket films to approach the state governments to give special permission for extra shows, starting from early hours of the day to late in the night, in all the theatres across the state.
But “Sye Raa” could not get any such permission for extra shows, causing a lot of anxiety among the exhibitors who have already sold off the shows to fans’ association for high prices.
Apparently, Ram Charan’s attitude is also one of the main reasons for the film not getting permission for extra shows.
He should have at least made a courtesy call to Jagan Mohan Reddy and put forth a request for permission for more shows.
Instead, he tried to influence the government using his “connections” in Jagan’s cabinet. That obviously made the chief minister angry.
What is worse, Ram Charan’s uncle Pawan Kalyan has also been making nasty comments against Jagan on twitter for the couple of days. This was all the more irritating.
At the same time, Jagan is also pissed off with Chiranjeevi for not attending his swearing-in ceremony as chief minister at Vijayawada on May 30, despite extending a personal invitation.
Interestingly, Ram Charan gave the telecast rights of the “Sye Raa” pre-release event to Sakshi channel bypassing TV9 and NTV just to impress Jagan. But this seems to have not ended the gap between mega camp and Jagan.
Time is ticking away and still, there is no confirmation from the government about extra shows. Perhaps, Chiranjeevi should reach out to Jagan to save him from this embarrassing situation.
Mohan Babu Comments On ‘Sye Raa’
Collection King Dr. Manchu Mohan Babu who maintains ‘Tom & Jerry’ relation with Chiru, also extended his wishes. ‘My good friend Chiranjeevi, his son Ram Charan made ‘Sye Raa’ with a big budget. I only wish the film to become a big hit and also bring a lot of money and reputation to Chiranjeevi and Charan,’ tweeted Mohan Babu.
‘Sye Raa’ is based on Telugu freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy and is directed by Surender Reddy. The film is simultaneously releasing in Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu languages.
The US premieres are set to begin in short while.
