40 Year Old In Bikini Heats Up The Shore

Share

Kim Sharma has not changed a lot since her debut film Mohabbatien that was released in 2000. The beautiful actress turned 40 and is still stunning and fit.

Sharma decided to put the beach shores on fire with her stunning white bikini pictures. Kim slipped into white bikini flaunting off her super shaped body and is all waiting for waves at the shore to drench her more.

Well, that’s fascinating and she must be getting a lot of envious looks from younger heroines. Why not? Look how hot she is and how she is heating the whole shore all alone.

That Heroine For Pawan Kalyan Is Just A Rumour

Share

When it comes to the latest movies of Pawan Kalyan, there are always changes related to heroines until the Powerstar finds someone very apt. While the name of many young heroines is heard in connection with Sardaar movie, he has finally roped in Kajal Agarwal for the role.

As such unpredictability is quite expected, this time the name of a struggling heroine is getting heard in connection with Pawan Kalyan’s Pink movie remake. As the Tamil version carved a beautiful romance track between Ajith and Vidya Balan, the Telugu marks are also pretty much doing the same. And rumors have come out that Kanche movie fame Pragya Jaiswal is going to play the lead siren opposite Pawan.

Sources close to Pawan, however, ridiculed the talks as mere rumours. “Pragya Jaiswal romancing Pawan Kalyan either in Pink remake or in Krish’s film is untrue. She is neither proposed by any, nor anyone from the production approached her. Pawan is looking to get some star heroines aboard for marketing sake, but not these not-so-popular names” a source said.

T’wood Love Birds Join Same Gym!

He is so hot. And she is so cute. The duo is a hit pair and worked in a couple of films. However, as rumours started propping up, the love birds have decided to take some break and decided not to act together in films for some time to divert unwanted attention and to avoid rumours.

But here is the buzz. The actress who is rumoured to be deeply in love with the actor has joined the same gym of the actor. Both are said to be going the same gym whenever they are in the town. But with too much of outdoor shoots and travelling, the actor is said to be not coming to the gym often like before. And the actress too got busy travelling and not visiting the gym often.

There is no smoke without fire. So, the previous rumours about their love life seems to have some base given that they are hanging out often.

Psycho Warning: Pregnant Women & Kids, Don’t Watch Our Movie!

Share

Almost all the movies from the festive season concluded their run and we were all busy yesterday looking at Disco Raja when there came out a Psycho in Tamil sending tremors all over with great reviews and superb talk.

The makers of the film Psycho are sincerely asking the pregnant women and children to stay away from their film, and they mean it. Psycho is a crime thriller that has a lot of disturbing sequences throughout and only watchable for 18 and above.

Psycho garnered all positive reviews for its unusual or unconventional serial killer story and the performances from Udayanidhi Stalin, Aditi Rao, and Nitya Menon are gaining special applause. Psycho is all about a visually challenged person who had to save his lover abducted by a psychopath killer.

Written and directed by Mysskin, music composed by Ilaiyaraja, Psycho is attracting filmmakers from neighbor states too.

Either #RRR or #Prabhas20 For Dussera!

Share

Rajamouli’s multi-starrer #RRR starring Tarak and Charan is still in the filming stage. It was supposed to be wrapped up by January, but it is pushed until April due to unforeseen delays in the shooting process.

Grapevine is abuzz with the rumors that the film’s release has been pushed to January 2021.

However, October 2020 release for #RRR is not completely out of the way. It may come for Dussera according to few reports.

If #RRR misses out on Dussera then #Prabhas20 may target that date. Being pan Indian films, #RRR and #Prabhas20 would avert any sort of clash at the box office.

There will be a gap of minimum three months between the release dates of these two films.

Although Krishnamraju said that #Prabhas20 will come for Summer 2021, reports claim that it will either release for Dussera 2020 or Sankranthi 2021.

Final release date will be decided as per the release schedule of #RRR.

What are IT advisors doing in AP?

Share

Andhra Pradesh, which had virtually given Karnataka and Maharashtra a run for their money in the past with regard to Information Technology sector, seems to be lagging far behind now, especially after the bifurcation of the combined state.

While most of the global IT companies are now located in Hyderabad, there were efforts made during the Y S Rajasekhar Reddy regime to develop IT sector in Visakhapatnam.

During the previous the TDP government led by N Chandrababu Naidu, too, there were some attempts to showcase Andhra Pradesh as an IT destination by promoting IT companies in Vizag and also at Mangalagiri.

However, nothing seems to be working for the IT sector after YSR Congress party led by Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy came to power in the state.

Though Jagan has his own priorities of implementing Navaratnas, he has also done a few reviews with regard to IT sector development in the state.

But the authorities who are supposed to do the follow-up action, seem to be in deep slumber.

There are quite a few advisors to the government with regard to Information Technology development including K Rajasekhar Reddy (policy and investment), Devireddy Srinath and J Vidyasagar (technical), Tummala Lokeshwar Reddy (technical projects) and Pratap Bheemireddy(Investments and Infrastructure).

One does not know what they are doing for promoting IT and communications sector in the state. At least on paper, it is not clear as to what they are doing in bringing in new investors for the development of IT in the state.

“One wonders whether these advisors know what they are supposed do. Just because they have to be given some posts, they are in those posts,” an analyst commented.

Where did the comedians go!

Share

The term comedian carried as much weight as the phrase hero in Hindi films. Almost no films, especially a family drama or even a romantic film, was complete without a healthy dose of comedy. Often, the comedy track had little to do with the main narrative and, if at all, a thin connection was devised to keep it relevant to the story.

Like every lead actor who enjoyed his place under the sun, had his period of glory, so did a comedian. There were leading comedians and then there were gap filler comedians. There were comedians who were superstars in their own right. There were comedians who could be loud and there were those who fitted the bill just in B or C-grade movies; loud and crass mostly. And, there were the suave type who made you laugh while not seen to be making an effort at all.

Not only Hindi, every regional language film had its own star comedian with a following of his own. There were a few female comedienne as well. But, they were given just a few minutes of footage and more than their acts, their very appearance made one laugh. The examples are Manorama or Tun Tun.

Usually, the films were designed to cater to the family audience, the often heavy scripts needed to break away from the narrative and comedy was brought in. This was called comic relief. The length of films being longer compared to the films now, this comic relief helped.

The comedy created its own superstars. But, going back to 1950s and ’60s, of course, there were other comedians but the one who ruled the roost was Johnny Walker. He became so popular that roles were written for him especially while giving him all the liberty to improvise as he thought fit. But, as best of filmstars fade out, so did Johnny Walker.

The other comedian actor was on the horizon: the era of Mehmood was here. While Johnny Walker had a typical style of his own with a shrill voice, Mehmood was more versatile. His career spanned to almost two decades and a film without Mehmood, was unthinkable.

Then there was Kishore Kumar. Again, a multifaceted actor who also produced and directed films, he also went on to become the most sought-after playback singer in the 1970s. Kishore Kumar may now be remembered more for his songs but he, along with his brothers Ashok Kumar and Anup Kumar, are always remembered for their evergreen comedy film, “Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi”.

Mehmood did not stick to comedy alone. He loved to indulge in emotional content. His aspirations to make films the way he wanted them, made him start making his own films, some independently and some in joint ventures with other established production houses. Among his most memorable films are “Padosan” and “Bombay To Goa”, which have proved to be evergreen. Mehmood is also remembered for his triple role of father, son and grandfather in “Humjoli”. His three roles are a take on the Kapoors: Prithviraj, Raj and Randhir. Not to forget his character in “Padosan”, which is etched in the memory even today.

Mehmood became so popular that some of his co-stars, the lead actors, felt insecure and thought Mehmood was hogging the limelight in their films and became reluctant to work with him, forgetting that often it was Mehmood who made their films popular and successful.

Writing scenes for comic situation was a job not many could justify. In the case of Johnny Walker and Mehmood, the written script was just an indicator, it was these comedians who made them clapworthy.

Then came a time when writers came at a premium and the filmmakers who believed that a major star was enough to make and market a film, never thought much about a writer who could give him a solid, tight script. The quality of writing was deteriorating. The scripts were poor, forget writing a track for comic relief.

The actor who did comic roles and stood a class apart at that time was Deven Verma. His expressions were always deadpan and yet he could evoke the laughter among the audience from all, the frontbenchers as well as the balconies. While, Verma was a universal choice for all makers, he remained very popular with filmmakers like Hrishikesh Mukherjee, Basu Chatterjee and others who preferred subtle comedy the over loud kind that the others delivered.

Deven Verma’s mantle was taken over by Paresh Rawal. Again, a deadpan face and the way he delivered his lines, did the job for him. Irrfan Khan, Boman Irani and Anu Kapoor are such actors in the presentday Hindi film industry. Their films are always looked forward to.

Johnny Lever can safely be called the last comedian who enjoyed, one may say, a connect with the audience.

In earlier films, buffoonery was not part of the routine. The exception was comedian Rajendranath. He usually played the hero’s sidekick and he would be paired with the heroine’s ‘saheli’. He resorted a lot to buffoonery. Vulgarity and double meaning dialogue had yet to invade the filmmaking.

The 1980s saw a flood of South remakes in Hindi. The remakes followed the original where a pack of villains also served as comedians. They were sinister in intent but comic at the same time. These films would have six to seven comic players at the same time, with Kader Khan leading the pack.

Kader Khan, originally a writer who wrote satire skits, specialised in oneliners and repartees, and usually kept the best lines for himself. He was so busy acting in films that he wrote his scripts/dialogue while shooting. He dictated the dialogue on a Dictaphone and had an assistant transcribe them.

The Kader Khan Gang included lesser comic stars like Asrani, Ranjeet, Jankidas and CS Dubey, while Shakti Kapoor and Amjad Khan, Prem Chopra, Jagdeep, and Tej Sapru alternated between villainy and comedy.

There were those limited-footage comedians like Mohan Choti, Paintal, and Jugnu but the one who drew maximum laughter among them was a teetotaller, Keshto Mukherjee, who specialised in playing a drunkard. People lapped up his act. And there was Bhagwan Dada, who was added to a dance number in many films only to repeat the dance steps he did in his own film “Albela” (1951). It so happened that “Albela” was re-released in late 1970s or early ’80s and proved to be a huge success. Still, Bhagwan Dada was financially not secure and some makers added him so that he got work.

Then, there were Satish Shah, Rakesh Bedi, Satish Kaushik, Tiku Talsania, Deven Bhojani, Dilip Joshi, Krushna Abhishek, and Kapil Sharma who went on to do better on the television.

But soon, this breed of comic stars became extinct. What drew them away? There were no slots for them and, to start with there were no writers who could create side-tracks for them.

Most of all, the lead actors, from top down, had resorted to doing comic roles even while playing the lead. From Amitabh Bachchan to Govinda, and from Anil Kapoor, Ajay Devgn, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar to Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor, the present lot is more into comedy or comic movies.

They leave no special category for comedians.

Balakrishna to Charge Old Remuneration?

Share

That director Boyapati Srinu is rewriting the script of his recently launched film with Nandamuri Balakrishna has been reported by GreatAndhra.

The script is being changed due to financial constraints. However, the biggest challenge for him is to make Balakrishna agree to cut down the remuneration.

Balakrishna had charged Rs 5 crore for his movies till 2019. He had suddenly increased the remuneration to Rs 10 crore for “Ruler” and Boyapati’s movie. “Ruler” bombed.

To make this project viable, Boypati has slashed his remuneration. Now, he is asking Balayya to charge the same amount he used to take earlier. Balakrishna has not given his agreement yet but is in favor of cutting some amount not wholly.

Balakrishna needs to slash down the remuneration drastically and Boyapati should convince the producer Miriyala Ravinder Reddy that budget would be under control.

At one time, Boyapati planned the film with Rs 70 crore as its budget but now he’s contemplating to make it under Rs 40 crore.

TRS planning to capture all municipalities?

Share

It looks like Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has worked out a plan to capture all the municipalities in Telangana, barring two municipalities won by his friendly Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen.

As per the final outcome of the results of the municipal elections, the TRS has won 104 municipalities, while the Congress gained majority in eight – Adibhatla, Chanduru, Halia, Manikonda, Narsingi, Pedda Amberpet, Waddepalli and Turka Yamjal.

The Bharatiya Janata Party could win three – Amangal and Makthal and Tukkuguda.

The TRS rebels fielded by former minister Jupally Krishna Rao won two municipalities – Kollapur and Ija, under the banner of All India Forward Block; whereas MIM captured two municipalities – Bhainsa and Jalpalli.

Soon after the election results were declared, the TRS technical team identified the municipalities where the party has fallen short of majority. They also worked out the number of seats required to capture these municipalities.

When KCR came to Telangana Bhavan, the TRS headquarters, in the evening, the technical team placed all these figures before him.

He quickly adjusted the number of MLAs, MLCs, Lok Sabha members, Rajya Sabha members, Zilla Parishad chairpersons and mandal parishad chairpersons, who could be co-opted into various municipalities where the TRS has fallen short of majority.

Now, except the two municipalities which were won by the MIM, the TRS chief made the arrangements to capture all the remaining 118 municipalities.

Even in the two municipalities won by the TRS rebels, KCR refused to take them into the party and decided to capture them with the help of co-opted members and independents, thereby giving a big shock to Jupally Krishna Rao.

With regard to municipal corporations, the TRS could win seven out of nine corporations straightaway.

With regard to Ramagundam, the TRS will be able to capture it with the help of co-opted members and in Nizamabad, where the BJP emerged as the single largest party with 28 out of 60 seats, the TRS is joining hands with the MIM and capture the corporation.

So, it will be opposition-free civic bodies in Telangana now!

12 MLCs keep away from TDP in AP council?

Share

The Telugu Desam Party led by former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu seems to be heading for a split in the state legislative council, following a threat of abolition of the upper house by the YSR Congress party government.

Naidu called for a TD legislature party meeting on Sunday to work out the strategy to be adopted in the assembly on Monday when the YSRC government is likely to introduce a resolution to wind up the legislative council, as many as four MLCs abstained from the meeting.

Gali Saraswati from Chittoor, G Tippe Swamy from Anantapur, K E Prabhakar from Kurnool and Satrucherla Vijayarama Raju from Vizianagaram informed the party leadership that they were not able to come to the meeting due to “personal reasons.”

Information is that they might quit the TDP. Already, Dokka Manikya Varaprasad announced his resignation from the MLC seat, while P Samanthakamani also stayed away from the meeting on the pretext of ill-health.

Two other MLCs – Pothula Sunitha and D Shivanath Reddy – defied the party whip and voted for the YSRC in the council during the debate on Rule 71. Sunitha already joined the YSRC and Shivnath Reddy is also all set to join.

There is a talk that at least another four MLCs might shift loyalties to the YSRC by Monday morning. If it happens, it will be a big split in the TDP.

Besides, three independents also might defect to the YSRC. If the YSRC gets enough numbers in the lower house, it might not go in for abolition of the legislative council.
