Mahesh Babu’s “Sarileru Neekevvaru” is minting money at the box-office. However, the film has received mixed talk.

Plus, critics have slammed the film’s climax portion which ended poorly. And comparisons with Trivikram’s beautiful way of ending ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramloo’ are invariable.

But director Anil Ravipudi is defending his decision to end the film in that soft manner.

“I agree that we had received a mixed response for the way we ended the film from industry people but general audiences have been positive about it. I knew that it would evoke mixed reactions when I penned it but this is the best climax for this story,” Anil Ravipudi told the media.

He also said that Mahesh Babu supported him in ending the movie unconventionally.

Some of the active Tollywood producers are openly criticizing Dil Raju for raising remunerations of top stars in an unhealthy way.

Till two years ago, top stars like Mahesh Babu and Pawan Kalyan were charging Rs 25 crore as their remuneration and now it has almost doubled.

Just to get the dates of the top stars, the producers including Dil Raju are willing to pay such hefty remunerations.

Now, he has gone a step further and has agreed to pay Rs 50 crore as remuneration and a stake in profits to Pawan Kalyan for the remake of “Pink”.

Dil Raju is producing Pawan Kalyan’s comeback movie and he is estimating that this film would do huge business since Pawan Kalyan has not done a movie in the last two years and fans would flock to the theaters to see him on screen.

But trade pundits say Dil Raju is overestimating Pawan Kalyan’s market and popularity.

This ‘Pink’ remake will not fetch Bollywood dubbing rights or remake rights as it is a remake of a Bollywood movie and the film has already been remade in the Tamil language. Even digital streaming rights will not be much.

So, Dil Raju can only depend on Telugu theatrical rights and satellite rights and moderate digital rights. Boney Kapoor is also a partner in this movie.

So, Dil Raju has to part some amount to Boney Kapoor as well as Pawan Kalyan from the theatrical business. On paper, this looks like a disastrous plan.

For Dil Raju, producing a film with Pawan Kalyan is a dream. Hence, he is not expecting profits and he’s expecting that the entire production cost will be completed in 20 crores. But can it possible to complete such a big star movie under Rs 20 crore?

To fulfill his dream, Dil Raju is setting an unhealthy precedent.

Rashmika Mandanna is being trolled for her old comments. One of her old interviews with Vijay Deverakonda during Geetha Govindam saw Rashmika talking about character, performance and she only choose roles with substance. She said on record that she wouldn’t do any film just for the sake of doing it and dance for the songs. “If I’m doing a character, there has to be meaning. Just for the sake of four songs, I’ll not do a movie,” Rashmika was seen saying in the video.

But a section of netizens are widely sharing this old video interview of Rashmika and citing her role in Sarileru Neekevvaru. As Rashmika’s role is very limited and doesn’t have much scope – other than dancing next to Mahesh, the Twitterati are wondering what happened to Rashmika and why she opted for it.

Besides Mind Block song and some laughs, Rashmika hardly gets noticed in the film that has Mahesh Babu stealing the show from start to the end. Now, Twitterati saying that Vijay Deverakonda was right in the interview when he had cautioned Rashmika about such statements.
