Until the last year’s Avengers: Endgame took over the ‘highest grosser’ crown, James Cameron’s Avatar stayed on top though the movie came out a decade back.
James announced he will be making four parts starting Avatar 2 and the movie is back to headlines with the first look of Avatar 2 through the concept art, and it is simply amazing.
Cameron appeared at the 2020 CES convention in Las Vegas and there he unveiled the concept art and later shared them online through the official handle. The first look of Avatar 2 takes us back to Pandora with greeny forests, new islands, and new water creatures. It is just a sneak peek and it already began to blow the minds of fans.
The sequel is titled Avatar: The Way of Water and is expected to release next year, December 18, 2021. The trailer of the film is expected to come out this year. The same stars Zoe Saldana and Sam Worthington are returning with sequel again and Sigourney Weaver and Stephen Lang will be seen in other sequels, which are being developed along.
For curious fans, Cameron gave a leak about the highly-secretive sequel, that an eight-year-old daughter of Jake and Neytiri will be seen in the next. Metkayina, a new clan Na’vi ruled by Tonowari will be introduced in Avatar 2. Catch the glimpses of the new world of Avatar here.
Superstar Krishna In Sarileru? Here’s The Twist
With just 3 days remaining for Sarileru Neekevvaru’s worldwide release, fans can’t wait to see Mahesh Babu setting the screens on fire with his mass avatar after almost a decade. And the film’s director Anil Ravipudi’s revelation at the pre-release event has escalated the hype to the next level.
In his speech, Anil Ravipudi had said that there will be a special surprise for all the fans of Superstar Krishna in Sarileru Neekevvaru. Since then, speculations have been rife that the veteran hero will be making a special appearance in the movie. But here’s the clarification.
Krishna will not be acting in Sarileru, but a few scenes from his iconic patriotic drama, Alluri Seetharamaraju, will be shown in the movie. Apparently, the film’s antagonist Prakash Raj will be showing Alluri Seetharamaraju’s scenes featuring Krishna to another baddie Ajay.
Both Krishna and Mahesh had last shared screen space with each other in the 2002 cowboy film, Takkari Donga. Needless to say, it would have been a dream come true for fans to see the Ghattamaneni father-son duo on-screen again after 18 long years.
Hero’s Fingering : Directors Scared!
He is a good actor. But this hero has a problem of fingering in scripts and director’s job. There have been rumours about differences between him and his directors. While a movie is almost stalled due to his over involvement, another movie which is in progression is also now indulged in differences between him and his director.
Talk is that director is unhappy with hero’s constant involvement. The soft-natured director is said to be unable to take this from the hero. The hero’s last film was a big disappointment. The hero is feeling pressure as his last movie was a failure. But this curiosity of hero is said to be affecting the director. Even the duo’s film teaser has failed to appeal. This is adding to the woes. Talk is that the differences between hero and director are also affecting the output.
With hero’s complete involvement, the director said to have given up the film. The director has raised his hands up and left the project now. Fans are worried about the development of the film. Also several directors, producers in industry are worried to team up with this hero due to his fingering. Giving suggestions is not wrong, but insisting for changes against to director’s wish is what not going down well with many directors who worked with him so far.
Rashmika’s Rating To Anil Ravipudi
Rashmika Mandanna, who got a big leap in her career with Sarileru Neekevvaru as she paired up with Superstar Mahesh Babu, is keeping her fingers crossed for the film’s release. Rashmika is super excited about the film as she is hoping that the film’s result would overturn her fate and make her a star heroine. Talking about the bond and camaraderie she has with Mahesh Babu on the sets of Sarileru, Rashmika said she has ‘irritated’ Mahesh on the sets. “I annoyed Mahesh sir on sets. But he is so kind and sweet that he has let it go as he considered me as a child.”
Rashmika went onto praise director Anil Ravipudi for his acting skills. Rashmika gave full credit to Anil Ravipudi for what she has performed in the film. “Director Anil has shown me how to perform. He has enacted and I just followed. Every expression that I have given on the screen is originally his. He is a good actor. I’d rate 10/10 for Anil Ravipudi’s acting.”
As Sarileru Neekevvaru is all set for Jan 11th release for Sankranthi, Rashmika is bundle of nerves and looking forward to the film’s result.
I Can’t Do What Vijay Deverakonda Did – Allu Arjun
Allu Arjun is a proved actor. He has demonstrated his acting prowess several times in the past. His performances have won critical acclaim besides commercial success. But the actor is humble and down-to-earth during his media interaction where he admitted he cannot do like Vijay Deverakonda in Arjun Reddy.
Allu Arjun said Vijay did a flawless and superb performance. Bunny said he can’t imagine doing such a film even if someone approaches him with such bold script. Allu Arjun appreciated Vijay for his show. Allu Arjun was shy and all smiles talking about Arjun Reddy and its bold scenes. He said, “I can’t do Arjun Reddy. Vijay did best.”
Talking about the dressing and style, the stylish star said Vijay Deverakonda could wear any fashion wear and still comfortable. He said he can’t follow Vijay’s fashion. Allu Arjun yet revealed that Vijay Deverakonda has gifted him a dress. “Vijay has gifted me a special dress. I’m yet to try it,” said Allu Arjun.
Bunny is all praise for Ranveer Singh and his cocky fashion statement. He complimented Ranveer for carrying such clothes comfortably. Allu Arjun said a lot of Bollywood actors and actresses are good in fashion.
Allu Arjun talked about how special Ala Vaikunthapurrammuloo is and why he is super excited about the film that is slated for Sankranthi release (Jan 12, 2020). Allu Arjun said the film is a perfect family entertainer which every family would like to watch this festive season. He is all praise for director Trivikram Srinivas and actress Pooja Hegde. “Pooja is very beautiful. This is my second film with Pooja after DJ and this is my third movie with Trivikram garu,” said Allu Arjun looking quite confident of meeting the high expectations of fans.

Pawan Kalyan Pushes Krish Into Deep Dilemma
Pawan Kalyan’s re-entry is sounding something like Prabhas’s wedding these days, with no clarity on anything yet but still on news every now and then. Insider reports confirm that Pawan Kalyan is ready to enter the films again, but he has not said anything beyond that.
There were directors and producers who waited for a very long time to make a film with Pawan Kalyan prior to his full-time political entry, only to get disappointed and look at other ways later. Director Krish seems to be in the same situation now, as he managed to convince the star with his script and was left there in a deep dilemma.
Pawan Kalyan is heard to have confused Krish about the next as he himself is in the same state whether he has to come back to films or stay a politician for good. Krish on the other side is clueless if he has to approach others with the script or wait for the actor-politician to respond.
Manikarnika and NTR biopic has hit Krish’s career very hard and if his next doesn’t give a proper bounceback for him, the talented director will struggle later. If Pawan Kalyan agrees to start this film, AM Ratnam will be putting money in it. There were speculations on Pink Remake earlier that Dil Raju is producing it in Venu Sriram direction, but there is no news about it either.

Watch: Anil Ravipudi Guitar Step With Tamannaah
A big fan of megastar Chiranjeevi, director Anil Ravipudi exhibited his dancing skills during Sarileru Neekevvaru pre-release function.
Again, the director is seen shaking his leg alongside Tamannaah Bhatia, this time in a making video of Daang Daang song released by the makers.
Both Tamannaah and Anil Ravipudi shared their experience of shooting this song which they call ‘Party Anthem Of The Year’.
Tamannaah says she hasn’t done anything like this before like wearing an army dress for a song. Thanking Anil Ravipudi for giving her the opportunity, Tamannaah says she’s pleased to dance next to Mahesh Babu after five years. “Mahesh Babu is looking brilliant in the film.”
Clarifying another time on Tamannaah dancing with army men, Anil stated, “We’ve seen several celebs interacting with army people and dancing with them. I liked the idea, so that’s how the party number happened.”
Tamannah also lauded choreographer Shekar master and cinematographer Randy (Ratnavelu).
“The whole team is absolute dream to work with. In fact, they all are my favorite people,” says Tamannah.
In the last, Anil Ravipudi and Tamannaah can be seen performing Guitar step to Daang Daang song which is the first song in the film.
Roundup: Capital politics taking violent turn
The unending agitation by farmers of Amaravati, the capital region of Andhra Pradesh, appears to be taking a violent turn, if the Tuesday’s attack on the vehicle of YSR Congress MLA from Macherla Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy is any indication.
It is no surprise, as the agitation which began spontaneously on a peaceful note has turned aggressive with the entry of political parties – be it Telugu Desam Party or the Bharatiya Janata Party or Jana Sena or even the Communist parties.
Naturally, the ruling YSR Congress party leaders are forced to launch a counter-attack with daily press conferences targeting Naidu and explaining how the TDP government had played a gamble with Amaravati farmers and is now trying to gain political mileage from the proposed decision of the government to create three capitals for the state.
While the agitation by affected farmers is understood because they are on the losing side, the TDP and other opposition parties are instigating the farmers and taking the agitation into a violent mode for their political interests. The attack on the YSRC MLA is believed to be part of this strategy.
Naturally, such incidents make it to the headlines in the media. Even national media gave a lot of coverage to the agitation and also the attack on Ramakrishna Reddy’s vehicle.
Coming to the three major Telugu mainstream newspapers, Sakshi carried the report prominently describing the attack on the MLA’s car as a “murder attempt,” while Eenadu carried a small pointed story stating that Ramakrishna Reddy had to face the wrath of agitating farmers. Andhra Jyothy conveniently ignored the incident for the obvious reasons.
On the contrary, both Eenadu and Andhra Jyothy gave a massive coverage to the national highway blockade by the agitating Amaravati farmers. They also gave a frontpage coverage to the anguish expressed by the employees of state secretariat over the capital shift.
The outcome of the first meeting of high-power committee on the capital was also given considerable space in the front pages of the major newspapers.
Eenadu and Andhra Jyothy categorically said the high-power committee favoured decentralisation of administration, but Sakshi said the committee would make its recommendation after collecting opinions of all the stakeholders.
The Patiala High Court’s judgement confirming death sentence to the four accused in Nirbhaya rape and murder case was actually the big news of the day for the entire national media. But it was pushed down the page by the Telugu media.
On the other hand, the state-level bankers’ committee meeting convened by chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, where he appealed to the bankers to extend financial assistance for the implementation of Nava Ratnalu, was also another important news of the day.
Sakshi made it as a banner story, while Andhra Jyothy also carried the same with a different headline, indicating that Jagan has asked the authorities to make another one and a half lakh crore to fund the pending projects.
The proposed meeting of two Telugu CMs – Jagan and K Chandrasekhar Rao on January 13 was found a place only in Eenadu.
The nationwide shutdown in protest against CAA and NRC and the attack on JNU students is another news item that figured prominently in all the three dailies.
