Venky and Sai Made The Most Of Christmas
Big heroes always target holidays such that the collections of their film will be maximized. And now, two dependable heroes, a proven senior and a raising mega hero, have made the most of a holiday with other competitors performing quite poor.
Though opened to average talk, the comedy inside Venky Mama and Prathiroju Pandage is making sure that those films collect huge. On the day of Christmas (Dec 25), with everyone having an official holiday, these films have made the most of it. Almost all the theatres that are screening these two movies that featured Venky, Chay and Sai Tej have registered mind blowing numbers.
While Venky Mama already collected 30+ crores and doing well, for Prathiroju Pandage the film is a blockbuster for Sai Tej as it made almost 14+ crores share in just first 5 days of its release.
So both the movies are going to be making the most from the box office until biggies like Sarileru Neekevvaru and Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo hit cinemas in the second week of January.
Ego Issues Led To Bad Music?
One of the upcoming biggies is actually suffering from bad tunes given by the composer. Not even a single tune among the bunch of songs is actually impressive while the composer is actually known for giving at least a couple of hits songs in every album he delivers. So, what went wrong?
Actually the composer is said to have got upset with the director of that movie over a bad mouthing. When the composer is giving certain inputs regarding this latest movie, a talk is said to have erupted about their previous outing, and who should take the credit for the good music. As the war of words went to the next level, the director is said to have trashed the composer with his satirical words. This has hurt the composer, and he has shown his frustration through the bad work he has given.
In his entire career span, this is the first time the composer has given such a pathetic album for a big hero, while he has given mediocre work earlier for secondary level heroes. Sometimes, we never understand what went wrong, but the bad output implicates that something has really gone wrong. This is such scenario!
What Happens To Jersey Remake Now?
Picking up interesting Telugu films and remaking them in Bollywood is not a new thing. From Salman Khan’s Wanted to Shahid Kapoor Kabir Singh, they are all Telugu movies. And now comes a situation where a remake movie appears similar to another film that is getting released soon. Here goes the snippet.
The trailer of Kangana Ranaut’s Panga is out already and Telugu folks commented that the theme looks much alike Jersey. While Jersey is a male version with cricket background, Panga is a female version in Kabaddi background, with the rest of the story being similar. That’s said to be worrying makers of Jersey now.
Telugu version’s director Gautham Tinannauri has already started shooting with Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur (Super 30 fame) in Mumbai, where they are shooting some key scenes. However, the trailer of Panga is said to have disturbed them a bit and they are said to be working on some changes to their script such that both films don’t look same.
These type of coincidences are common in films, as Jersey was first compared to Majili looking at those posters showing cricket. Later they were two different stories. We have to see how similar or different these Jersey and Pangaa are.
Buzz: Flop Heroine Asks For Vizag Tickets
She happens to be a flop heroine who still lands in Hyderabad now and then to meet some filmmakers. Despite the fact that she is pouring hotness on Instagram, the Mumbai based hottie is unable to get any single offer in Tollywood. And those offers that came to her are not of leading roles also.
Recently this actress became the talk of the town when she started demanding for air tickets to Vizag. Here’s the catch. While all the actresses often fly from Mumbai to Hyderabad directly, the actress is said to be asking producers to book tickets to Vizag and from there she is actually coming by land route to Hyderabad.
Some say that she wants to evade the paparazzi at Hyderabad airport and hence she wants to come to Vizag route. One wonders what she is up to here in Hyderabad that she wants none to know about her landing up in the city.
On the other hand, few revealed that her boyfriend hails from Vizag and she’s meeting him there by flying there through producer’s money, and then coming to Hyderabad. None knows the truth, but the actress is asking for tickets to Vizag always even while going back and not liking to step at Hyderabad airport.
KCR seeks to bring together like-minded parties over NRC
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao is planning to bring all like-minded parties on one platform over the issue of the National Population Register (NPR) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC), AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi said on Wednesday.
He told reporters after a meeting with the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) President that the latter is concerned over the environment being created in the country.
Owaisi, who led a delegation of United Muslim Action Committee, said Rao suggested to them to invite leaders of all parties to the protest meeting scheduled at Nizamabad on December 27.
The Hyderabad MP said leaders of the TRS, the Congress and the Left parties would be invited to the meeting and all the protest programmes would now involve all the parties.
“It is for the Chief Minister to decide,” Owaisi said when asked if the TRS chief would join hands with his West Bengal counterpart Mamata Banerjee to bring all parties together on the issue.
The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader said that since his party was supporting Rao, they would be with him for any united action plan on the issue.
KCR, as the TRS chief is popularly known, repeatedly impressed upon the delegation that this was not an issue of Muslims alone but of the whole country and the Constitution and hence there is a need to take everybody along. He also stressed the need to maintain peace at any cost.
The delegation, which included leaders from various Muslim organisations, urged KCR not to allow NPR in the state as this was the first step towards NRC. They appeared to him to stay NPR work like Kerala and West Bengal.
Owaisi said they submitted to KCR all documents including the annual report of the Ministry of Home Affairs which clearly mentions that NPR is the first step towards NRC. “(Home Minister) Mr Amit Shah is misleading the country by saying that there is no link between the two,” he said.
He also referred to the statements made by the government in the Parliament and the press release issued by Press Information Bureau (PIB).
Owaisi reiterated that NPR, NRC and Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) all were interlinked. He said in the past when NPR was conducted, it was not linked to citizenship.
Terming the meeting with KCR as satisfactory, he exuded confidence that the Chief Minister will soon take a positive decision on their demand to stay NPR.
Ganta smells Conspiracy behind ‘Vizag’ capital!
From the TDP, it is only Ganta Srinivasa Rao who is supporting the proposal of having Vizag as ‘Executive Capital’ of Andhra Pradesh. On Tuesday Ganta and other Vizag leaders have met and discussed about this issue.
In this meeting wide range of discussions happened and after that Ganta expressed his doubts on CM Jagan’s proposal. “DId the YSRCP government come up with this thought only for the sake of Greater Vizag Municipal Corporation (GVMC) elections?” questioned Ganta.
The Vizag North MLA also expressed concerns that in the name of capital, anti-social elements might enter the city and destroy the peaceful atmosphere of it. At the same time, Ganta also said Amaravati farmers are protesting since the last few days and their concerns should be addressed at the first step and then Vizag should be made as capital if at all such circumstances arrive.
Well, finally Ganta seems to have understood YSRCP’s strategy and is cautious on making Vizag as ‘Executive Capital’ of AP.
Nothing Concrete On Krish’s Film With Pawan
After the debacle of NTR biopic, director Krish has been staying low and silent over his next possible project. Though he was supposed to direct a film for Akshay Kumar, somehow that film didn’t go forward. And now, there are rumours everywhere about his next with Pawan Kalyan.
Some rumours have popped up on this possible film saying that it is going to be a period movie. But then, earlier Krish has tried to revamp Pawan Kalyan’s dream project Satyagrahi that will be produced by AM Ratnam. So what is actually going on with this project became suspense of sorts.
Reports are coming out that there is nothing concrete about this project, as both Pawan Kalyan and Krish are not able to lock a proper story for their project. Also with Pawan unsure of how he could allott dates to this movie such that he will balance both political career and film career.
By already signing Pink remake, Pawan has in a way satisfied the desire of his fans to see him on the screen again, and we have to see how far this new project works out as there is nothing solid about it till now.
Disaster Movie Collects 100 Crores Nett Easily
In recent times, the only star who could pull immense feat at the box office along with Akshay Kumar, even with a flop film, is none other than Salman Khan. No matter what is the talk and reviews around his film, he is always going to make it big and loud at the box office.
Last week we have seen Salman Khan’s latest movie “Dabangg3” hitting cinemas. The Prabhudeva directorial hasn’t impressed many while the presence of new heroine Saiye Manjrekar or south star Sudeep as villain haven’t created any new impact. While that is the scenario from film critics, the film is doing good at the box office, not to a great extent but to an extent that it recovers making costs.
Dabangg 3 has touched 100 crores nett at the Bollywood box office already much to anyone’s surprise. With no other biggies in the hindsight other than Akshay Kumar’s Good Newwz, surely Salman will be catering to those mass centres and will be making 20-30 crores more easily, say trade pundits.
Well, the true stamina of a hero comes out only if a flop film could also recover its costs from the box office. That’s how Salman has truly arrived we must say.
