This Friday is going not to be the same one that we experience every week. For various reasons, people are left with mixed feelings and none cannot explain what are they going through. Here is how we could chalk it out a bit.
Exceptional Friday:
Definitely the news of Disha’s killers getting killed in the encounter has left people with satisfied spirits. Some people even rushed to the encounter spot to shower flowers on the police who permanently removed those moles from the society. Celebs are showering their love via tweets, calling it as ‘Justice Served’ though expressed concern over these extra-judicial killings. It’s an exceptional Friday with lots of emotions intertwined inside everyone.
Black Friday:
December 6th is considered to be the Black Day or Black Friday owing to the fact that Babri Masjid was demolished on this day couple of decades ago. And this is the first such Friday where the Ayodhya Incident got a total makeover with Supreme Court delivering the landmark judgement. On that note, this Friday got all the attention from people.
Unfortunate Friday:
As far as Tollywood is concerned, some small budgeted films like 90ML, Mismatch and Bhagyanagaram Veedhullo are releasing today while Hindi biggies like Panipat and Pati Patni Aur Woh are also hitting cinemas. Definitely in Telugu states, the mood of people is to know more about the #JusticeServedForDisha thing, but not to go to movies and relish some entertainment. Definitely it’s an unfortunate Friday for the makers of those films.
People shower petals on police near ‘encounter’ scene
Hyderabad: Hailing the killing of all four accused in the gruesome gang-rape and murder of a young veterinarian, people showered petals on policemen near the ‘encounter’ scene at Shadnagar town near here on Friday.
Raising slogans of ‘police zindabad’, people showered petals from a bridge, under which the victim’s charred body was found on November 28, a few hours after she was gang-raped at Shamshabad on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
The accused were gunned down by police at Chatanpally when they allegedly tried to snatch weapons and escape. The police had taken them there for reconstruction of the crime scene.
Hundreds of people who gathered at Chatanpally hailed Cyberabad Police, especially its commissioner V.C. Sajjanar for killing the perpetrators of the heinous crime.
“During our protest, we had asked the police to either hand over the guilty to us or kill them in encounter. They have done the encounter,” said a citizen. He was referring to the protest outside Shadnagar police station on November 30.
As the news of the killings spread, people at various places in Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana gathered to hail the police. Some of them burst firecrackers and distributed sweets.
Several people dialled 100 to congratulate and thank the police for killing the accused.
The shocking crime had triggered massive public outrage. People had staged protests in Telangana and various parts of the country, demanding immediate capital punishment for the perpetrators.
Pawan takes U-turn on Disha case!
Like his unofficial alliance partner Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu, Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan, too, seems to be an expert in taking U-turns on crucial issues.
Three days ago, speaking at a lawyers’ meeting in Tirupati, Pawan Kalyan said nobody had the right to kill a person for committing a crime like rape and murder. He suggested that the rapist should be given two smacks with a cane in front of everyone till his skin rips off.
“Today what you people say is to hang the accused in Disha rape and murder case till death in front of everyone. We should remember that we don’t have the right to kill a person,” he said.
But on Friday, when all the four accused were killed in an alleged police encounter, the Jana Sena chief said justice had been done to Disha.
He said there shall be instant justice in such cases. He even suggested that in view of the safety of the girls, the punishments should be implemented in public.
Pawan said following the encounter, peace had met the Disha’s soul and he conveyed his greetings to Disha’s parents and wished them a speedy recovery from the trauma and distress.
“After the Nirbhaya incident, our Parliament introduced a strong law. Yet the rapes did not stop. There are still such gruesome crimes across the country, which need to be addressed and investigate quickly. It is the need of the hour to make laws that would scare the criminal not to resort to crimes on women,” Pawan said in a statement.
In a video recorded in the past, Pawan was heard saying that he felt like stabbing the people who had ragged her sister in his childhood. But when people demanded that those who had raped and murdered Disha should be lynched, Pawan spoke about human rights.
It shows there is no clarity of thought for Pawan and he will take a U-turn on any issue according to his convenience!
TDP’s new office lands in legal troubles!
The newly-built cosy office of the Telugu Desam Party state headquarters at Mangalagiri, which was formally inaugurated by party president and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday landed in legal troubles.
YSR Congress party MLA from Mangalagiri Alla Ramakrishna Reddy filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in High Court against the allotment of 3.6 acres of land for the construction of the TDP party central office.
He alleged that the allocated land was not in accordance with legal norms, he said in the PIL.
He argued that the permitted land of 3.65 acres of Vagu Poramboku land for 99 years lease at Atmakur village in Mangalagiri Mandal of Guntur district for the construction of TDP central office was illegal, arbitrary, unconstitutional.
Reddy said the land allotment was done in violation of the provisions of Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority Act, 2014.
The YSRC MLA requested the High Court to cancel the G.O. 228 issued on June 22, 2017 and also requested the HC to order the CRDA commissioner to demolish the illegal construction.
Netas hail Telangana cops on rape accused’s ‘encounter’
After the ‘encounter’ killing of the four accused in the horrific Hyderabad gang rape and murder case, reactions from political corridors are pouring in, mostly hailing the police’s action.
Veteran leader and National Vice-President of BJP Uma Bharti took to Twitter to express her sentiments on the incident.
In a series of tweets, she hailed Telangana police for quick action.
“This is the biggest incident in the 19th year of this century that guarantees women safety. All police officials, who have done this deserve respect. It will develop a sense of security in women in other states of the country…Jai (salute) Telangana police.”
Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said, “The whole country is relieved by this encounter. They have been punished for what they did. Justice has been delivered. I can imagine how painful it would have been for that daughter who was brutally raped first and then burnt alive.”
Commenting on the lengthy legal process he said, “We made a provision for capital punishment in such matters but no culprit has been hanged till date due to long legal procedures of lower courts, high courts, Supreme Court, and mercy petitions. Justice delayed is justice denied.”
Shiromani Akali Dal leader leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa said “On the behalf of every daughter and father of this country I want to thank Hyderabad police for their action in Hyderabad rape and murder case of the doctor. Such culprits should be handed over to people for quick justice. I would also request the courts not to grant bail in such crimes because it is not a bail, it is certificate for them to commit such a crime again.”

90 ML Movie Review: No Kick!
Except ‘RX100’, none of his movies clicked at the box-office but Kartikeya’s latest outing hit the headlines as it ran into censor problems.
Let’s analyze ….
Story:
When he’s two-year-old, Devadas’s (Kartikeya) parents notice that he gets attracted to the smell of alcohol and they take him to a doctor. The doctor informs that the child is born with a rare disease called fetal alcohol syndrome. There is no medicine for it. He advises him to serve the kid 90ML of alcohol daily.
The story moves forward… Devadas is now in his twenties. He falls for a physiotherapist Suvasana (Neha Solanki) who doesn’t like people who drink alcohol.
Added to this problem, there is John Wick (Ravi Kishan), a factory owner. How will Devadas manage his love matter and the problem with John Wick?
Artistes’ Performances:
Kartikeya has played to the gallery with antics and dialogues. He has improved his dance skills but he still has a long way to go in the acting department.
Neha Solanki hardly impresses. Rao Ramesh as the heroine’s father is okay. Roll Rida as a hero’s friend generates some laughs. Ravi Kishan provides comedy as well.
Technical Excellence:
The film is shot with good production values. Anup Ruben’s music is quite routine but songs are picturized in exotic locations. Cinematography is decent.
Editing is utterly bad. The film needs a lot of trimming. Dialogues are mediocre.

Analysis
Does a disease like ‘fetal alcohol disorder’ exist? And such patients survive only by taking 90ML of alcohol daily three times? Yes, is the answer from director Yerra Sekhar Reddy who debuted with ‘90ML’ and the movie deals with a protagonist who has this disorder.
The disorder itself sounds bizarre and the narration is even clumsier. Right from the beginning, the film goes over the top. Sequences with no iota of creativity or sensibility are dished out.
Hero uttering irrational dialogues like ‘no relation feelings, no regional feelings’ is proof that this director’s ideas are stuck in a time warp.
Hero saves a kid, heroine films the incident on her mobile and starts liking him. One day, the hero watches the heroine clearing the traffic and falls for her. From the 90’s we have seen such scenes in hundreds of movies.
The villain is introduced with a weird dressing style. This is also clichéd. Heroine’s father sees the hero’s real character (alcohol problem) on the road in an incident. This was also shown in many movies.
There are plenty of such routine scenes to point out. When a story is hackneyed, narration should be trendy. But this film lacks on both counts. As the film progresses, our patience decreases.
After ‘Hippi’, this is another boring film from Kartikeya. And the film’s ending inadvertently glorifies alcoholism (instead of milk, the heroine provides a glass of wine). The film is narrated in an old-school way with trite ideas.
In a nutshell, ‘90ML’ tests the patience with its lousy narration and clichéd sequences.
Bottom-line: Overdose of Boredom

The encounter of Disha’s rape and murder is a nation-wide topic now. A majority of the public are hailing the Telangana police for killing the four accused.
In a viral video, college going students in a bus shouted in joy as they got to know that the rapists were killed. Right after Disha’s brutal rape, there was anguish especially in the young women who questioned the government and police about their safety. Disha Case : Telangana Sets Example With Encounter
All the four accused – Mohammad Areef Pasha, Jollu Shiva, Jollu Naveen Kumar and Chintakunta Chenna Keshavulu – in brutal rape and murder of 26-year-old veterinary doctor Disha have been killed in a police encounter on Friday morning. The incident took place when cops were reconstructing the scene with accused and accused allegedly tried to escape from police and that’s when the cops had reportedly encountered them.
By encountering the culprits of the brutal rape and murder, Telangana state and Telangana police have set a precedent that the accused of such notorious, heinous crimes can’t get away. Since the laws need to become stricter and more severe, the encounter of the accused is being lauded by people from various corners.
Telangana state stood as an example by encountering the accused of this horrendous crime.
First reaction of Disha’s Family on accused encounter
Here is the first reaction of victim Disha’s father over the encounter of all four accused in his daughter’s brutal rape and murder case. “My daughter’s soul must be at peace now,” Disha’s father was quoted as saying. He welcomed the encounter of the gang rapists. Disha’s sister Bhavya Reddy too welcomed the encounter. She felt this would set as an example. Disha’s family has thanked the Telangana police.
Nirbhaya’s father backed Hyderabad police over the encounter. Responding on the encounter, Nirbhaya’s mother said, “Justice has been served.”
According to cops, the encounter took place in the wee hours of Friday at around 3.30 am. According to police, the accused had tried to flee when they were reconstructing the crime scene and the accused were shot by policemen.

The encounter of the accused in Disha’s rape and murder has been received positively by the public. Not just the public, Tollywood celebrities have hailed this encounter and added that justice is served.
Young Tiger Jr NTR took to his Twitter handle and wrote, “JUSTICE SERVED! Now, Rest In Peace Disha.” Actress Samantha tweeted that, “I Love TELANGANA. Fear is a great solution and sometimes the only solution.”
Hero Akkineni Nagarjuna too joined the chorus of celebs. “This morning I wake up to the news and JUSTICE HAS BEEN SERVED!! #Encounter,” tweeted Nagarjuna.
Hero Manchu Manoj hailed the killing of the accused and wrote that he wanted to hide the bullets that killed the culprits and want to salute the guns that shot them and bow down to the police who have done it.
