First Contestant To Face Elimination In Bigg Boss 3

It’s been a week since Bigg Boss 3 has begun. Which means, The time has arrived for the first elimination. As many as Six Contestants (Jaffer, Himaja, Rahul, Vithika Sheru, Punarnavi, Hema) have been facing the threat of elimination in the Week 1.

Votes polled for these Six Contestants have been in circulation on social media platforms. Himaja and Punarnavi received most of the votes. On Saturday, Host Nagarjuna has already announced that both these contestants were in a safe zone.

On the other hand, Hema received least number of votes. Which means, This Character Artiste will be the first to face elimination.

Nag hinted about Hema’s Elimination on Saturday itself. He found fault with Hema for trying to dominate rest of the contestants and explained that is why she was nominated by all the housemates. Hema tried to defend herself by saying her intention was to ensure there were no clashes when she was having the control over kitchen. Wait till Sunday night to know if Hema walks out or not!

Not Easy With Nayanathara

Nayanathara is undoubtedly the Lady Superstar of Kollywood movie industry. Post the success of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, there is no looking back for the actress in the film industry. Today, Nayan is one of the senior heroines who charges a maximum amount as remuneration for a single project. Nayanathara is very special in this case as she comes with her own terms.

While she signs a movie, the first thing that she makes it clear with the director and producers is that she would not take part in the promotional activities of the movie. Initially, it was tough for the makers but slowly, everyone got habituated to her terms.

Now, the industry sources reveal that Nayanathara rejected a project even though she was offered a pay check of ten crores. A new hero Saravanan is being launched in the industry and the makers of the movie approached Nayan for the project but she has politely rejected the project.

There are reports that Nayan rejected the movie because she does not want to romance a new hero at this point in time in her career but the sources close to the actress confirm that Nayan declined the offer because she didn’t like the story amusing.

Whatever it may be, it is not so easy to convince Nayanathara!

Ranarangam In Kakinada On August 4th

In the recent past, Most of the Pre-Release Events of Telugu Films were happening at Hyderabad or Visakhapatnam or Vijayawada or Tirupati. For a change, Pre-Release Event of ‘Ranarangam’ starring Sharwanand, Kajal Agarwal and Kalyani Priyadarshan is being planned at Kakinada on August 4th.

Crucial Sequences in ‘Ranarangam’ produced by Sithara Entertainments were shot in Kakinada. Even the parental company of this Production House ‘Haarika-Hasini Creations’ will be operating from Kakinada for two weeks because of the ongoing schedule of Allu Arjun-Trivikram’s flick. So, The Pre-Release Event is planned in such manner.

Both Allu Arjun and Trivikram could be the chief guests for ‘Ranarangam’ Pre-Release Event. Yet another event will be happening in Hyderabad and that’s few days prior to the release.Posters and Promos of ‘Ranarangam’ directed by Sudheer Varma of ‘Keshava’ fame look very promising. Nagarjuna, who said on record that he hate the concept of Bigg Boss as it seems voyeuristic, ironically, is hosting the third season of the Telugu version.Nagarjuna’s hosting in the first episode was Okay as there is nothing much to do except for introducing the contestants. However, his interactions with most of them were artificial.

We got to see the real hosting of Bigg Boss on Saturday and Nagarjuna seemed very mechanical. It appeared like he was just saying out what is being said to him over the headphones.It is pretty evident that he hasn’t followed the show at all, says most of the comments on social media.

Bigg Boss show followers are shocked that Nag didn’t even address the biggest fight that happened between Varun Sandesh couple and Mahesh Vitta.Praising Sreemukhi for no reason and ignoring Varun Sandesh’s big fight with Mahesh makes it clear that he read out a script that was given to him.

The host needs to follow all the episodes and should have his own take on the contestants than reading out a script.First season’s host NTR used to watch all the episodes and also had a team to get the feedback from public, which is why his hosting used to be on point and matched the public pulse.

One good thing about Nag’s hosting is he is not trying to imitate any of the previous hosts and doing it in his own style. But he should watch all the episodes or at least see the highlights before coming on stage.

ABN-Andhra Jyothy owner Vemuri Radhakrishna predicted that AP’s new Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s ‘hasty decisions’ will make Andhra Pradesh an another Venezuela sooner or later.

In his weekly column “Kotha Paluku” published in ABN-Andhra Jyothy today, Radhakrishna reminded how Venezuela economy has collapsed now due to ‘excessive welfare schemes’ implemented by those rulers to win elections and how 30 lakh people from Venezuela have migrated to other countries in search of livelihood as there are no jobs in their own country.

Radhakrishna said Jagan’s “Navaratnalu’ and his recent Act passed in Legislative Assembly to provide 75 per cent jobs to locals in all existing and new industries in AP, are bound to push state’s economy into red and AP people will face ‘severe consequences’ in the coming days.

Radhakrishna said former CM N Chandrababu Naidu took Rs 10,000 crore loans just before Assembly polls to implement welfare schemes like ‘pasupu kunkuma’, ‘annadhata sukhibhava’ etc, with an aim to win polls but to implement Jagan’s Navaratnalu, one can easily imagine how many thousands of crores of rupees of loans are needed, which will eventually lead to the collapse of AP economy.

This besides, Radhakrishna said the World Bank, AIIB stopping funding for Amaravathi, Jagan stopping Amaravathi works, ordering probes on Amaravathi, review of power purchase agreements, 75 per cent quota for locals in all industries etc, has led to investors and investments moving away from AP to Telangana and other states.

Radhakrishna said AP economy took a beating as real estate crashed and no fresh investments coming into AP due to Jagan’s ‘hasty decisions’.

He said Jagan’s decision to appoint ‘grama volunteers’ was only aimed to provide employment to YSRCP activists and giving them Rs 5,000 salary per month will become a huge burden on state exchequer in the coming days.

Radhakrishna said that Jagan trying to implement Navaratnalu without focussing on AP development, new industries, new investments, jobs, will only make AP another Venezuela and AP people will be forced to migrate to other states and countries for jobs and livelihood.

With singer Rahul Sipliganj, actress Hema, heroine Vithika and TV9 Jaffer in the spot to get eliminated on Sunday night, various rumours are doing rounds about the possible contestant who would be out of the show tonight. And some inside sources have revealed that there is only this particular housemate who faced the ire of the public.

Apparently, Rahul has impressed many with his singing talents and his opinionated voice, which might make him stay for some more time in the house. And TV9 Jaffer is a bit slow, but still, he is someone who is expected to deliver and people are believing that. So the fight burns down to Varun Sandesh’s wife Vithika and character artist Hema now.

Though Vithika has no special positive points to amass, Hema is the one who could score those negative points for her motor mouth. US: Oh Baby Gets 1 Million USD

Samantha has pulled off a rare feat at the US Box Office as her Oh Baby! managed to scrape through the trademark 1 Million USD. This is no less achievement as Sam is the face of the film and she pulled it off on her shoulders.

Given the US theatricals value of the film, this is a record collection for the film in the US and it can be declared as the blockbuster. Oh Baby! becomes the third female-centric film to reach this mark after Anushka Shetty’s Bhaagamathie and Keerthy Suresh’s Mahanati.

Directed by Nandini Reddy and released on 5th July (US premieres on 4th July), it took 23 days for Oh Baby, the official remake of South Korean film Miss Granny, to reach this landmark. Overall, Sam has proved her stamina and provided good content, she can pull off a film on her own.

‘Probe on CM Jagan will continue’

Bharatiya Janata Party is making all efforts to make inroads into Andhra and Telangana. While Ram Madhav is already on-duty, AP co-in-charge Sunil Deodhar has recently stated that there will no pause to the ongoing investigations on YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, MP Sujana Choudhary and CM Ramesh. ‘Joining BJP will not stop them from facing probe and justice will do its own duty,’ he added. Sunil, who visited Vizag on Saturday, has made the above comments while addressing his party karyakartas. He also made it a point that party leadership is concentrating on Andhra in particular and putting in all efforts to bring BJP into power in 2024.

He further said: “In the coming polls, the major fight will be between YSRCP and BJP. In order to make other parties weak, we might have to get some seniors and crucial leaders into our party. We are planning to implement Tripura formula in AP too and it is necessary to make AP free from corruption and caste-based politics.

Answering a question by media, the senior BJP leader said his party will work against the YCP’s biased, one-directional and irregularities polices. He also spoke about how the party has highlighted about Police protection to churches in AP and hiking pastors’ salary.

Sunil also alleged that TDP failed to issue the utilization certificate on Polavaram and also referred to YCP’s attack that TDP involved in irregularities when it comes to Polavaram. ‘That is why we could not allocate funds in the recent budget,’ he stated. Finally, Mr. Deodhar stated the victory of YSRCP must be attributed to the anti-incumbency for TDP government and also since there was no other alternative for voters.

Balayya & Relative Bought 500 Acres Land in Amaravati?

Actor, Hindupur MLA and Chandrababu Naidu’s brother-in-law Nandamuri Balakrishna is under the scanner as allegations are rife on him that he along with one of his relatives had bought 500 acres of land in Amaravati before the announcement of capital city.

Government sources allege that Balayya and his in-law bought 500 acres of land and they call it as “insider trading”. Government sources allege that several other TDP leaders had also bought large areas of lands in and around the capital before its declaration.

Responding on this, Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister Botsa Satyanarayana on Saturday said that all aspects of the insider trading related to Amaravati capital would be exposed soon and he said no one would be left out.

While YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his trusted aides have been alleging of an insider trading during TDP rule (2014-2019) since they were in opposition, the allegation is back after YS Jagan became the CM and this is now being linked to the dropping of loan from the World Bank. The World Bank dropped its loan of 300 million USD for Amaravati recently. AP state government’s request for 300 Million Dollars loan for the construction of capital Amaravati has been turned down by the World Bank.

“The irregularities in land procurement is one of the reasons for the World Bank to back out from funding the capital city project. The land procurement in Amaravati is a huge scam. The TDP leaders violated the oath of secrecy too,” said Minister Botsa yesterday at a press conference.

Meanwhile, Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy also made some serious allegations on the floor of Assembly on Friday. He said severe irregularities were practiced by previous TDP government to bring Singapore Consortium on board.

According to Buggana, Singapore Consortium had entered into an agreement with the previous state government to develop 1691 acres of land in Amaravati. And AP government should in return bear 5500 Crore by developing infrastructure, facilities like street lights, roads, providing sand and giving land for free. While Singapore Consortium in its agreement stated that it would invest Rs 306 Crore, AP government would bear Rs 5500 Crore.

“In total, the state’s investment would be Rs 10,000 crore to Rs 12,000 crore. But, we will have a minor stake of 42 per cent, while Singapore Consortium will hold 58 per cent. Singapore Consortium will have 4 members as the directors and AP state government will only have 2 members as the directors in the board. This is clear case of irregularity by transferring full hold to Singapore Consortium,” said Finance Minister Buggana in the house alleging that TDP leaders had given out the contracts related to capital Amaravati by taking their cut.

While YCP and TDP leaders continue to make allegations and counter-allegations against one another, the growth and works of Amaravati Capital have hit rock bottom. TDP leader and MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna is yet to respond to the allegations against him.

Nag & Sampoo Surprises In Hindi Film

In this film, there is one interesting murder scene which will have the ‘Telusa Manasa’ song Hindi version as the background music. And the hero also asks what song is this and from which film, as another actor reveals it is from ‘Criminal’ movie. And the visuals of Nagarjuna are shown on the screen, thereby giving a kick to Telugu audiences.

And during the pre-climax of the movie, when the hero wants to do an anti-gravity fight, he wants to see a reference of a south movie, such that he could pip the goons badly. And he sees the visuals of Sampoornesh Babu’s over-exaggerated satirical fights from Hrudaya Kaleyam to get inspired. Though this is a mockery of south movies, Arjun Patiala movie itself is a mockery of many things.

And for Telugu audiences, the glimpse of Nagarjuna and Sampoo is surely enthralling, while the film Arjun Patiala has only partly good to offer.

Dear Comrade Day 2 Collections: Slow & Steady

After a humongous opening where it collected a share of over 11 crores worldwide, Vijay Deverakonda’s Dear Comrade has slowed down a bit on its day 2.

However, the drops are not huge and the collections are rock steady, giving distributors enough smiles over the weekend. The film is set for yet another decent Sunday, thanks to the encouraging advance bookings.

In its two-day theatrical journey, Dear Comrade collected a total share of Rs 10.55 crores at the box offices across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Despite the mixed reviews and an intense and emotional storyline, the film is braving unexpected negativity from a section of people online and is putting up a good show thanks to the craze Vijay Deverakonda enjoys among his ‘Rowdies’.
