Pawan Kalyan Miserably Failed; Can He Pull It Off?

Share

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s iconic ‘Veena’ step from Indra movie is not an easy dance move to attempt. Only those who can dance well can pull it off with practice.

When Pawan Kalyan, who isn’t a good dancer tried to recreate it in Sardaar Gabbar Singh, he ended up making mockery of himself. That was one of the most disastrous memories for Pawan fans.

Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan, who is also a very ordinary dancer is giving it a try now.

Prabhu Deva encouraged Salman to attempt Chiranjeevi’s Veena step in Dabangg 3 and he obliged. Salman who isn’t so flexible with his dance moves always relies upon silly dance moves like shaking the belt or shirt.

Although he has the India’s best dancer Prabhu Deva to train him it will be challenge for the macho man to perform Veena step like Chiranjeevi.

It is a proud moment for Chiranjeevi fans though. India’s biggest superstar is attempting Chiranjeevi’s dance move is something they would definitely cherish.

iSmart Shankar’s success has made Nabha Natesh the most sought after actress in Tollywood. Producers are running after the sexy lady to cash in on her craze.

She has bagged another biggie after signing up two notable films post iSmart Shankar.

Nabha Natesh will be playing the female lead in Bellamkonda Srinivas’s upcoming film with director Santosh Srinivas. She has been paid a bomb by the makers so that she allots dates as per their convenience.

It is a miraculous turnover for Nabha Natesh who had a disappointing start to her career in Telugu Cinema industry.

She has joined the list of actresses who got their biggest break with a Puri Jagannadh’s film. No wonder young actresses go crazy when they get an opportunity to work with Jagan.

Vijay Deverakonda: I’m a revengeful person

Share

Panaji: “Arjun Reddy” star Vijay Deverakonda says he doesn’t mind when his films don’t perform well at the box office, but he is one actor who is revengeful.

Every actor has some hits and misses. Talking about failure, he said: “I am a revengeful person. When people don’t like my film, so many of friends of mine walked out of some film of mine and later called me to say (share their feedback) during early stage of my career. I completely sit and like to know the real feedback.”

Recalling the moment when a little girl approached him to share her feedback about his latest release – “Dear Comrade”, he said at the ongoing International Film Festival of India (IFFI) Goa: “She loved the first half of ‘Dear Comrade’, but didn’t like second half at all. That was real criticism and I will take that criticism.

I don’t want to complain. I love what I am doing. Cinema is amazing. But it’s not just about creative… pushing content.”

He shared that there’s a lot of politics in cinema.

“It’s a business. There’s money and propaganda, power so much play happening.

“I came into cinema thinking that I’ll do whatever I want to do. I don’t care how it (his movie) performs. Over time, sometimes you have to show the numbers just to keep the business…Unfortunately everything becomes business, wish it wasn’t. It would be have been a nicer place to be in. For me, when I try a film and it doesn’t work, I don’t mind if it doesn’t work.

“I feel that Vijay Deverakonda only makes good films. Good films that everyone likes or good films that some people like. That confidence I have. Now if I feel that people are trying to use it…a film not many people liking it..against me, then I think ‘I’ll show you’. Then I go into a revenge mode say ‘I’ll show them in my next film’,” he said.

The Telugu star shot to fame with “Pelli Choopulu” in his home state. The 2017 film “Arjun Reddy” helped him gain national recognition.

PK’s Pink: Trivikram and Harika Hassine Pulls Out!

Share

Trivikram who was keen on remaking Pink with Pawan Kalyan has reportedly pulled himself out of it now.

Harika Hassine Creations that has been associating with all of Trivikram’s recent films also wanted to be a part of it.

Trivikram was supposed to pen the dialogues and alter the screenplay to suit Pawan Kalyan’s image and Harika Hassine Creations would have co-produced it with Dil Raju.

However, Trivikram is no longer associated with the remake as Dil Raju has asked Sriram Venu to pen the script for Pink remake.

The ace producer is not seeking the help of Star writer-director for reasons best known to him. Trivikram has sensed that something is not right and he pulled himself out of the project.

With him Harika Hassine Creations also has parted ways with Dil Raju.

Meanwhile, YSRCP people who are close to Dil Raju are not happy with him choosing to make a movie with Pawan Kalyan especially at the time when the Gabbar Singh actor is repeatedly targeting their party’s Chief.

Nani Remains Silent after IT Raids

Share

Nani was among the several celebrities who were grilled by IT officials last week. But Nani has not made any statement since then.

Also, he is not keeping active himself on social media these days. He is using Twitter occasionally.

May be, Nani wants to open up at the time of the promotions for his next release ‘V’ that is being directed by Indraganti Mohana Krishna.

As far as his career is concerned, Nani needs another big push, a huge blockbuster.

2019 has given him mixed results for the natural star. While ‘Jersey’ won accolades, ‘Gang Leader’ bombed at the box-office.

He is now looking for minimum-guarantee movies, quite focused on finalizing the scripts.

He has already given his nod to director Shiva Nirvana but he is waiting for the final bound script to take it to the sets.

He has also given his agreement to a new director’s story.

More Indian students held at US fake university

Share

Washington: Federal law enforcement agencies have arrested 90 foreign students, mostly from India, enrolled in a fake university established by the US government to check immigration fraud, a media report has said.

The US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has so far arrested more than 250 students, who were lured to enroll in the now-closed University of Farmington in the Detroit metropolitan area by the Department of Homeland Security.

The ICE had in March arrested 161 students from the fake university established by it. When it was closed in March, there were 600 students, mostly Indians, enrolled in it.

The latest news of arrest of additional 90 students in recent months, first reported on Tuesday by the ‘Detroit Free Press’, has resulted in outrage with #AbolishICE hashtag gaining ground on Twitter and other social media platforms on Wednesday.

According to an ICE spokesperson of the 250 students arrested so far, “nearly 80 percent were granted voluntary departure and departed the United States.”

Of the remaining 20 percent, about half of them have received a final order of removal, the official was quoted as saying. Federal prosecutors claim that the students knew that this was a fake university as there were no classes.

Senator Elizabeth Warren, a leading Democratic presidential candidate, described the move as “cruel”. “This is cruel and appalling,” she said in a tweet. “These students simply dreamed of getting the high-quality higher education America can offer. ICE deceived and entrapped them, just to deport them,” Warren said.

ICE had filed criminal charge sheet against eight recruiters. Seven of them have pleaded guilty. These eight recruiters have been indicted for conspiracy to commit visa fraud and harbouring aliens for profit by the US Attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan.

Students enrolled in the university, a significant number of whom were from India, came to the US legally on a valid visa issued by the US embassy in India.

The US “trapped the vulnerable people who just wanted to maintain (legal immigration) status,” Rahul Reddy, a Texas attorney who represented or advised some of the students told Detroit Free Journal. “They prayed upon them,” he alleged.

The fake university charged around USD 2,500 per quarter for graduate programme and the average cost is USD 1,000, the daily reported.

Allu Arjun’s ‘Hook Move’ Fails To Hook!

Share

Stylish Star Allu Arjun who is also a fabulous dancer is introducing variety dance moves in his upcoming film Ala Vaikunthapuramulo.

His ‘Half Coat Step’ From Ramulo Ramula song is a major hit on YouTube. TikTokers are having a ball recreating that step from the day it was launched.

Encouraged by the response, makers of Ala Vaikunthapuramulo revealed the ‘Hook Move’ from OMG Daddy song.

Allu Arjun has nailed the dance move like always, however this Hook Move hasn’t hooked the viewers like Half Coat Step did. The reason for it is a mediocre tune from Thaman.

#OMGDaddy song has just reached 7 million views on YouTube and will definitely fall way short of Samajavaragamana and Ramulo Ramula songs.

Meanwhile, Samajavaragamana song is just three million views away from hitting the 100 Million mark. Even Ramulo Ramula has crossed 70 Million and still going strong.

Andhra man kills wife for posting TikTok videos

Share

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh police have arrested a man who killed his wife for posting videos on social media app TikTok despite his objections.

According to police, Siddala Chinna Nasaraiah strangulated his wife Gorrapati Suvartha (19) and later burnt her body in a cremation ground in Potluru village of Savalyapuram block in Guntur district.

Though the incident occurred on November 17, the police cracked the case 10 days later after thorough investigation.

The couple, working as salespersons in a leading private company, had married five years ago and they had a two-year-old daughter. Suvartha had the habit of making TikTok videos but her husband was unhappy over this. He was also doubting her fidelity.

Police said Suvartha had recently left the house and after leaving their daughter with her parents she was living in a hostel in Sattenapalli town in Guntur district. She reportedly continued to post TikTok videos, further angering her husband.

Nasaraiah persuaded her to return home on November 14. Three days later, he along with his younger brother Chinna Venkaiah committed the crime. Police said Nasaraiah strangled her with a piece of cloth. Later, they took the body on a two-wheeler to a cremation ground near the village and burnt it.

Police took up the investigation after complaints that an unknown person was burnt. The investigators identified the victim from ornaments.

The CCTV footage at the local petrol pump revealed that Nasaraiah was the only one to buy petrol in a bottle on the night of November 17. They grilled the accused, who confessed to the crime. His brother was also arrested.

Vijay Deverakonda: I dislike that people are celebrating at my cost

Share

Panaji: Actress Parvathy is winning hearts of the netizens for slamming “Arjun Reddy” in front of its lead actor Vijay Deverakonda, who is clearly not enjoying that people are “celebrating” at his cost.

“I am very irritated right now. I can’t keep it in and I want to take it out. If I will keep it in, it will become a tumour inside me,” he said here on Wednesday during a session at the International Film Festival of India.

The irritation had a lot to do with netizens’ reactions to a recent round table discussion with actors, including Parvathy and Vijay.

During the interview, Parvathy had said: “‘Arjun Reddy’ and ‘Kabir Singh’ had the visual grammar of glorification, ‘Joker’ did not. At no point did I look at the character Joaquin (Phoenix) played and think ‘Arre yaar, I totally agree with you. You must kill everyone’.”

She even said: “We can watch a tragedy and leave it there, without feeling inspired to follow it. Whereas if you’re telling there is no passion in a relationship without slapping each other and I see the comments on YouTube where people are resonating and engaging with that, you can see, engaging with that in a massive, mob-like manner. Where you’re inciting violence…”

Among various things, Vijay pointed out that it was possible for a couple to be in love but give each other “little hits and they completely understand and they’re still in love”.

Vijay also said that a couple like this would understand “Arjun Reddy” but a person who has grown up watching his parents hit each other would find it scary, and that it wasn’t possible to make films to “fit” everyone’s personal lives.

Soon, netizens lauded Parvathy for her take on “Arjun Reddy”, which has been slammed by many for promoting “toxic masculinity”.

Explaining why he is irritated, he said: “I am normally very understanding. I give people the benefit of doubt. I saw that there was a genuine angst and genuine intention behind these questions. But these people don’t know what they are talking about.”

“I feel they are very misplaced. I didn’t mind the question. I love Parvathy. I admire her work. What irritates me is the social media and media ‘hadavidi’. People go nuts. They don’t know what they are talking about.”

“I dislike that people are celebrating at my cost. That’s my issue. I don’t care what you think of the film, misogyny or the interview,” said the Telugu star.

Stone pelting on Naidu’s convoy during Amaravati visit

Share

Amaravati: Stones were pelted at the convoy of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu during his visit to Amaravati on Thursday over developments works stalled in the state capital after YSR Congress Party came to power six months ago.

Tension prevailed near Rayapudi on Seed Access Road when the convoy of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief came under attack from a group protesting against his visit. The protesters, who were holding black flags and raising slogans of ‘Naidu go back’, pelted stones on the bus in which Naidu was travelling with other party leaders. There were no reports of anybody being injured.

However, the leaders and workers accompanying Naidu raised slogans in his support. Additional police forces were rushed to the area to prevent any untoward incident.

The TDP leaders alleged that the ruling party workers pelted the stones. However YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leaders denied the allegation and pointed out that a section of farmers were opposing Naidu’s visit over compensation due for land acquired from them.

The TDP supremo began his visit from Praja Vedika, a meeting hall abutting his house that was demolished after YSRCP came to power.

This is Naidu’s first visit to Amaravati after he lost power to Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy-led YSRCP. Naidu has announced that he is visiting Amaravati to safeguard the ‘symbol of Telugu self-respect’.

The TDP leader will visit Uddandarayunipalem where the foundation stone for the state capital was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 22, 2015. During the day-long visit, he will meet the farmers who gave their lands for the state capital and will also see the works launched during TDP rule.

Naidu is visiting Amaravati amid a war of words between the ruling and opposition parties. Naidu alleged that Jagan Mohan Reddy was “killing Amaravati” by stopping all the works.

YSRCP said the TDP chief has no moral right to visit Amaravati as he could complete only five per cent of the works in five years and many irregularities were committed in the works.

Alleging that Jagan Mohan Reddy “destroyed” Amaravati, Naidu said the World Bank, Singapore Consortium and others have pulled out of Amaravati project. “Jagan Mohan Reddy is destroying future of five crore people of Andhra Pradesh,” he said.

Naidu also slammed Urban Development Minister Botsa Satyanarayana for comparing Amaravati with a graveyard. “Are you working from graveyard?” the TDP chief asked the minister while pointing out that the state secretariat is also functioning here.
