Trump Unhappy With A Feature On New iPhone

Share

The US President Donald Trump is presently upset with Apple Inc. Trump says he wants the home button back which is missing on the newer iPhone models and expressed his discontentment over it. The President took to Twitter to share his opinions and called out Apple CEO Tim Cook.

Donald Trump tweeted that the home button was much better than the new implementation. However, netizens were left in a dilemma as Apple removed the home button from iPhone models long back and Trump reacting now made the situation perplexed. The outrage that he showed on the company possibly suggests that Trump must have just upgraded from an older iPhone.Because Trump uses iPhone issued by the government and it is possible that it has just been upgraded to a newer model.

Ever since 2007, when the late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs launched the original iPhone, the home button has been a mainstay of all iPhone models and then, the Cupertino, California-based company removed it in favour of swipe controls in iPhone X. After staying upset, Trump tweeted his outrage to Tim, “The Button on the iPhone was FAR better than the Swipe!”

Earlier too, Trump expressed his unhappiness over Apple quite a few times for not having a large screen and tweeted’ I cannot believe that Apple didn’t come out with a larger screen iPhone. Samsung is stealing their business. STEVE JOBS IS SPINNING IN GRAVE’.

The Embassy of Brazil confirmed after President Jair Bolsonaro’s statement that Brazil, the South American country, will allow Indian travellers to visit without a visa from here on. Brazil has been working to implement this policy so that Indian travellers can enter the country without taking much time.

The embassy spokesperson said that the Brazil government wishes to facilitate easier entry for Indian tourists and business persons for India as the government want to boost people-to-people contact between the two countries and increase foreign investment in Brazil.

The statement has been released post-President Bolsonaro’s words that he intends to bring in measures that would allow greater contact with both India and China and hence, ending visa requirements for the two countries’ citizens.

Earlier, Brazil has also ended visa requirements for the US, Canada, Japan and Australia citizens. It is also noted that President Bolsonaro first announced about the India ad China’s new visa policy in his September speech at the UN General Assembly.

Daggubati Resigns To YSRC, Quits Politics?

Share

According to latest reports, Daggubati Venkateswara Rao resigned to his membership in YSRC party and decided to quit current politics. It is earlier known that Venkateswara Rao is in dilemma about his son Hitesh’s political future along with his own existence in YSRC while Purandeswari decided to continue in BJP.

There were speculations that Daggubati is soon going to go silent on politics considering Hitesh’s entry into politics. Purandeswari reached Hyderabad from USA on Thursday and Daggubati family decided to go with Venkateswara Rao’s quit from politics and support Hitesh’s entry into current politics at right time.

Hitesh is heard to have talked to prime followers of Daggubati in Paruchur regarding the same. Daggubati soon will be writing an open letter to public explaining all in detail.

The news has it that YS Jagan has asked Daggubati about Purandeswari’s criticism on ruling party, as her comments have been damaging the party’s image and so the CM reportedly suggested Daggubati couple to be YSRC rather than Purandeswari being in BJP.

Jagan reportedly promised equal or better position and role in YSRC, that she is awarded in BJP. So finally, Purandeswari decided to continue in BJP and Daggubati is calling it quits with YSRC and current politics.

Namrata On Kids: They Are Born Actors

Share

Recently we have seen Mahesh Babu sizzling in a real estate company TVC along with wife Namrata Shirodkar, and kids Gautham, Sitara. While Mahesh and Namrata are professional actors and the latter being a model who own Miss India crown too. However, Namrata is said to have got tensed about the TV debut of her children.

‘I was nervous about how the kids would take to the camera and how they would look on screen. Without sounding biased, I must say they are natural born actors’, she says, revealing her true feeling before doing this ad. And then, the natural born actors are due to the kind of family legacy they’re carrying we must say.

While it is known about Mahesh that his father was a superstar and acting came naturally to him, even Namrata’s grandmom is an actress too. That’s how the acting genes got carried into the next generations, and maybe the Mahesh-Namrata shouldn’t think twice before pushing their children as actors.

On the other hand, while Gautham already made his debut as a child artist in 1-Nenokkadine movie, we have to see if Sithara would do the same anytime soon.

What Jagan Offered To Vallabhaneni?

Share

Gannavaram TDP MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi was all over headlines yesterday. As per the buzz going in the Andhra Pradesh political circles Vallabhaneni is all set to leave TDP and join YSRCP. This could happen post-Diwali and as per Jagan’s conditions, Vallabhaneni is expected to resign to his MLA post first and then formally join YSRCP.

So Gannavaram will go for by-poll inevitably. But will Vallabhaneni contest again? The answer we hear is NO. Jagan is said to have informed Vallabhaneni that the latter will be sent to Rajya Sabha and Jagan wants to offer Gannavaram ticket to Yarlagadda Venkat Rao. Interestingly Yarlagadda lost to Vallabhaneni in the recent elections with a slight margin.

Also, there are reports that Vallabhaneni has met TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu a few days back and informed him about leaving the party. This is the reason the TDP is completely silent on Vallabhaneni’s episode. Overall it appears that Vallabhaneni doesn’t want any hungama in the media against him and so he silently proceeded with the things he wants to do.

Telangana RTC talks fail, strike continues

Share

Hyderabad: Talks between the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) and striking employees on Saturday failed to resolve the impasse as the strike entered 22nd day.

After talks with TSRTC officials, leaders of the Joint Action Committee (JAC) of employees said the strike would continue. However, they expressed readiness for another round of talks, if invited.

JAC convenor Ashwathama Reddy, who along three other co-convenors attended the talks, said the meeting took place amid restrictions and they were not even allowed to carry mobile phones.

“They took away our phones. In the history of RTC, I have not seen such a meeting,” he said.

JAC co-convenor V.S. Rao said talks with even enemy countries are not held in such an environment.

They said the management confined the meeting to 21 demands, while the JAC wanted talks on all 26 demands and alleged it came to the meeting with a fixed agenda.

“They wanted to hold talks only because of the court,” another co-convenor Raji Reddy said.

TSRTC managing director incharge Sunil Sharma said talks were held on the direction of the high court. JAC leaders left the meeting midway saying they would come back after consultations with other leaders, but didn’t return till late in the evening, he added.

The talks began in the afternoon after the TSRTC, acting on the direction of the Telangana High Court, extended an invitation to the JAC, which is spear-heading the strike to press for various demands, the main being TSRTC’s merger with the government.

The government had on Wednesday set up a committee of TSRTC officials to look into the demands, except the merger.

The committee submitted its report to the government on Friday. Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao discussed the report with Transport Minister P. Ajay Kumar and officials. It was at this meeting that he directed the TSRTC to invite the JAC for talks.

The talks are being held two days before the next hearing of public interest litigations (PILs) in the high court. At the previous hearing last week, the court had asked the government to hold talks with the employees.

The strike by nearly 50,000 employees began on October 5. The government took a tough stand and declared the strike illegal and refused to hold talks.

KCR, as the chief minister is popularly known, said over 48,000 employees dismissed themselves by not joining the duty before the expiry of deadline. He threatened to deal firmly with those trying to disrupt TSRTC bus services with the help of temporary employees.

He also asked officials to recruit more drivers and conductors on temporary basis and hire more private buses.

The strike took political overtone with the entire opposition extending their support. JAC has been staging protests across the state. It also called a state-wide shutdown last week.

The strike witnessed suicide by two employees, while some others died of cardiac arrest, allegedly due to depression caused by the loss of job and non-receipt of salary.

KCR stated on Thursday the TSRTC had no money to pay salaries. He even remarked the TSRTC was finished and nobody could save it from shutting down. Blaming the union for the situation, he hinted that the government would go ahead with privatization of the corporation.

IAS officers not able to catch up with Jagan?

Share

It has been nearly five months since YSR Congress party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy came to power with a thumping majority in Andhra Pradesh.

Since Jagan is completely new to administration, it took some time for him to understand the style of functioning of bureaucracy.

He has been under the impression that since he is the chief minister, the bureaucrats will follow whatever instructions he gives.

But what he has not understood is that the IAS officers follow the rule books rather than blindly going by the instructions from the head of the government.

If the chief minister takes any wrong steps, it is the duty of the bureaucrats to explain to him as to what the mistakes are and how the decisions have to be taken.

They should be in a position to tell the chief minister as to why a particular decision cannot be implemented.

The business rules of the government clearly say who should what and in what time, a particular decision has to be implemented.

Apparently, many IAS offices are not able to follow what Jagan is intending to do.

He is keen on implementing Navaratnas, his nine promises made in the party manifesto, but the officials are still not able to understand his priorities.

So, they are sitting over the files sent from the CMO for days together without issuing any orders.

Realising that certain IAS officers are not cooperating with them, Jagan instructed that the business rules be changed to suit his style of functioning.

Apparently, Jagan was unhappy with the way the IAS officers are defying his orders, resulting in the delay in implementation of his own orders on implementation of various schemes and policies.

On Friday, CMO issued orders in order to set right the administration in tune with the CM’s style.

According to these orders, all files sent by the CM of his office through e-office to all special chief secretaries/ principal secretaries/ secretaries of respective departments are categorised into three types.

First set of files should be endorsed as out today (Issue order or take action on same day).

Second set of files are marked as ‘most Immediate,’ wherein GOs can be issued and action be intimated to the CMO in five working days and the third set of files which are marked immediate, which can be cleared within 15 days and orders be issued.

Officials failing to stick to these deadlines will face the action. The CM may recall the file to examine the reasons for the delay and may slap a show cause notice on the special chief secretary or principal secretary or secretary concerned.

The CM may authorise any other bureaucrat to issue the orders required.

This might trigger unrest in the bureaucrats, as it would curtail their powers to decide on when to issue GOs. It might also lead to clashes between the CMO and other IAS officials, say sources.
