Why Allu Arjun Not Talking About His DJ Director?
Already social media pages are taken by a tsunami of comments from fans and opponents as they are questioning as to why Allu Arjun is maintaining silence on Sye Raa trailer and also about not attending the pre-release event of the movie. At the same time, another question also popped up now.
After watching Subrahmanyam for Sale movie, Allu Arjun called up Harish Shankar and appreciated his writing and direction skills. That’s how they agreed to work upon DJ- Duvvada Jagannadham a film that made good collections despite bad reviews. And it also becomes one of the highest grossers of Bunny’s career.
And now that Harish has once again impressed the audiences with Gaddalakonda Ganesh, about which even big stars are tweeting, one wonders why Allu Arjun didn’t get time to watch the film and talk about, at least his previous film’s director. The likes of Chiranjeevi and Mahesh Babu watched the movie already and heaped praises on it.
The more silent Allu Arjun is, the more damage he might do to his relation with mega fans.
#BiggBoss3: Sreemukhi Feels Lonely, Baba Exposed Again
Though Baba Bhaskar sounded quite a strong contestant in the beginning, his jovial and funny nature is starting to fade away as his dual nature is getting exposed. Here comes the dance master, exposed on last night’s S3 E66, where his multiple explanations about not-supporting Sreemukhi haven’t won appreciation.
All the three of Sreemukhi’s favourites, Baba Bhaskar, Mahesh and Siva Jyothy voted against her in the nominations while Siva Jyothy was made to compete with her by Bigg Boss himself. Why did Baba Bhaskar voted for Siva Jyothy became the talking point in the house, to which Baba Bhaskar stated to Varun Sandesh that Sreemukhi’s rude attitude provoked him to do so. And when Sreemukhi has asked Baba on his face, he stated that he has confidence that she will come out of the nominations easily. This exposed Baba to the core.
“I don’t want to keep any attachments of inside this house from now on, and I will play my game” is what Sreemukhi said, after listening to Baba for a while.
Vowing to the stance she has taken, she participated in the task of ‘Rich Mother’ quite effortlessly and with energy but is not mingling with others during the other time.
‘iSmart Shankar’ to re-release in Theatres
Dashing director Puri Jagannadh returned to form with ‘iSmart Shankar.’ The film was scored a super duper hit at the box office and it was a sign of relief for both Puri and hero Ram Pothineni.
Puri celebrated the success by gifting himself with a Range Rover SUV and now he is another plan. On September 28th which happens to be the birthday of director Puri, ‘iSmart Shankar’ is likely for a re-release.
The team is finalizing the theatres list in the Telugu states and the details would be out in a day or two. ‘iSmart Shankar’ was an out and out commercial entertainer in which Ram played the role of a reckless Hyderabadi while he romanced Nidhhi Agerwal and Nabha Natesh. Puri and Charmme produced the film.
Jagan’s new rule: Only 6 Beers, 3 Liquor Bottles!
Ever since YS Jagan took charge as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, he has been proactively transforming the face of liquor consumption and sale in the state. It looks like Jagan is determined to lead the state towards complete alcohol prohibition.
Now, the Andhra Pradesh Excise Department has issued a new diktat which will come into effect from Wednesday. The new rule prohibits any citizen from possessing more than 6 beers and 3 imported or local made liquor bottles. The new rule has reduced the permission to possess alcohol by almost half than earlier.
Indian made foreign liquor (3 bottles, any quantity), imported liquor (3 bottles, any quantity), 6 bottles of beer (650 ml), Methylated spirit (3 litres) and Toddy (2 litres) are the only permissible spirits that can be kept in a common man’s possession.
Laila Says ‘Balakrishna Is Real Ironman’
Ever since Nandamuri Balakrishna appeared in the famous Ironman styled beard, there are trolls here and there that described him as “Nandamuri Tony Stark”. Guess what, while Balayya is shooting in Bangkok along with heroine Sonal Chauhan in this avatar, former heroine Laila Mehdin has met him. Guess what she has to say about him.
“I took a picture with him recently and he told me that I’ve to share this with everyone. People are saying that he’s looking like Iron Man but actually he’s Ironman in real life too” said Laila, heaping praises on her ‘Pavitraprema’ co-star. Also, Laila revealed that when they are shooting Araku, Balakrishna used to wake them up at 3’0 clock for jogging in the lush green valley, but they have stopped doing that after people came to know about it and visiting them in huge numbers.
This is not the first time, but somehow many former heroines like Vijayasanthi, Radha and now Laila, complimented Balayya big time for his nature. Let’s not forget to add, even Katrina Kaif stated that Balayya comes to sets clean and fresh, and his discipline impressed her a lot.
YS Jagan shock to farmers, Cancels ‘Runa mafi’ GO
After cancelling tenders to Navayuga in Polavaram and initiating renegotiation on Power Purchase Agreements, YS Jagan-led state government continued its stand to revoke all crucial decisions taken by previous government led by Chandrababu Naidu. In a fresh move, Jagan administration has struck down the GO passed by the previous government on Loan Waiver.
On March 10, 2019, TDP-led government had sanctioned Rs 7959.12 Crore Loan Waiver funds including 10 percent interest for the delay under GO 38. But Jagan government has decided to struck the GO 38. Agricultural Department Principal Secretary Poonam Malakondaiah has passed orders striking down GO No. 38.
It is learnt that the Loan Waiver orders were quashed in order to facilitate YSR Rythu Bharosa scheme. YSR Rythu Bharosa scheme is to provide financial assistance to landowners and tenant farmers which will be implemented from October 10, 2019. CM Jagan has ordered to conduct a survey from Sep 18 to Sep 25 to identify the beneficiaries. State government has also launched eight other schemes along with this. However, the stopping of Loan Waiver invites flak from farmers.
Hyderabad records heavy rainfall in 111 years
Tuesday was a nightmare for commuters in Hyderabad. The heavy pour down resulted in massive traffic jam all over the twin cities while at few places, the water went inside the residences, police station, restaurants, hospitals and even supermarkets. This is a record for September month in 111 years.
It all started post lunch hour, the rain did its job in installments and area wise. Till midnight, the rain kept flowing from the sky. Tirumalgiri and Uppal regions have recorded the highest rainfall with 12.1 and 12 centirmetres respectively. At Gachibowli near Care Hospital, the water level went up till the hip and for two hours, all the vehicles were stuck on the roads. In Osmania university, the water coasted in the girls hostel phase 2 while the roads at Dilsukhnagar turned like a river with flood.
Upon municipal minister KTR’s order, GHMC deployed monsoon disaster teams while GHMC Mayor Rammohan monitored the works from the police command control. The traffic police and GHMC officials were under rescue operations all the night and did tried their best to clear the water logs.
Not just in Hyderabad, the rainfall was all over Telangana. Badradi Kothagudem, Mancherial districts reported 2 cms of rainfall while Siddipet recorded 1.7 cms of rain.
Namrata pushing Mahesh to Bollywood?
This is the time where many big Telugu stars are looking to expand their footprint into other languages. With the success of Saaho at North box office, no doubt, many big heroes are making sure that their Telugu films will not hit the Hindi market as well with a straight release rather selling dubbing rights and remake rights.
While we have biggies like Megastar’s Sye Raa and Rajamouli’s #RRR in the pipeline, other big stars like Allu Arjun and Mahesh are planning to release their movies in Hindi hinterlands. The latest update is that director Anil Ravipudi met Namrata Shirodkar recently as the Superstar’s wife wanted to discuss the Hindi release of the film.
Namrata wants to make sure that the content will be appealing to Bollywood crowds as well when it comes to fights and other sequences. If done as a straight release and the film manages to score well, then Mahesh’s market will expand big time as there are already huge fans for him up there.
Though Mahesh has earlier thought that KGF director’s movie will work out for him as a pan India movie, Namrata is said to have surprised him saying that there is no need to wait till then as Sarileru Neekevvaru itself will serve as proper launchpad. This film is set for January 2020 release in Telugu states.
700 cr profit or 7000 cr loss?
In a sharp counter to Jagan administration, TDP chief and former CM Chandrababu Naidu has found fault with reverse tendering of Polavaram works. Dubbing government’s claim of saving Rs 700 Cr with reverse tendering as false, TDP in a statement opined that the reverse tendering would incur a huge loss of Rs 7000 Cr to state exchequer on the whole.
TDP core leaders who reviewed Polavaram tenders also found fault with the government’s decision to handover the Polavaram works to Megha Engineering Infra Ltd (MEIL) as the company alone has filed its solo bid.
TDP slammed the fresh move of the state government to extend the hydro-power project of Polavaram from existing 28 months to 58 months time to MEIL. Earlier TDP government had given 28 months time to Navayuga to complete hydro-power project whereas MEIL has now been given 58 months to finish the same.
Slamming the move, TDP said this would incur loss of hydro-power for two-and-half years. It said the state is buying Thermal Power from outside for its usage and the loss of hydro-power for two-and-half years. In addition to this, Navayuga had already ordered for Turbines and Gates. TDP leaders pointed out that the company would demand the losses from state government for terminating its contract and calling for reverse tendering.
A senior TDP leader commented that the state would have benefited Rs 7000 Cr had Navayuga was allowed to complete the Polavaram irrigation and hydro-power project.
TDP leaders also came down heavily on YCP for handing over the Polavaram to MEIL. Citing that YCP had dubbed MEIL as Naidu’s Benami when Naidu had handed over Pattiseema to MEIL, TDP leaders questioned YCP’s move to hand over Polavaram works to Megha Engineering and Infra Ltd. TDP leaders pointed that YCP had earlier alleged that MEIL got benefited to the tune of Rs 350 Cr with Pattiseema Irrigation project. And TDP leaders now demanded YCP to recover that money from MEIL. TDP leaders also expressed concern over the quality of Polavaram works with the reverse tendering and reduction of cost. TDP went onto raise doubt whether AP state government would benefit MEIL in other means for quoting less in the bid.
Ala Vaikuntapuramlo Overseas by Bluesky Cinemas
Allu Arjun’s latest movie Ala Vaikuntapuramlo is one of the hot favourites for the upcoming Sankranthi season. With Trivikram at the helm and the likes of Pooja Hegde and Tabu in other prominent roles, surely the film is going to be one of the favourite films for family audiences. Guess what, the sales of the film has already started.
Set for a massive release in January 2nd week, we hear that Ala Vaikuntapuramlo is sold for Bluesky Cinemas in the USA for nearly 8.56 crores. That’s a good price considering the fact that Allu Arjun’s previous outing Naa Peru Surya is a huge flop. And to recover this investment from the box office, the film needs to get nearly 2 Million Dollars without any second thoughts.
Though we could bet on Trivikram to achieve those numbers easily, the worrying factor is the presence of Mahesh Babu’s Sarileru Neekevvaru around the same time. While Mahesh has an impressive audience base in the USA, Anil Ravipudi is running high after the success of F2, so the combination is looking lethal now.
All said and done, Ala Vaikuntapuramlo is going to be an out and out family entertainer if the previous teaser and the talk is anything to go by. So, expect some firecrackers for sure.
TTD, The Richmen Adda?
There is always a bad talk about Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) that it prefers VIP costumers over the ordinary people. Successive governments had promised that their policies would be pro-common man but time and again they failed to do so with action. The new governing body appointed by the YSRCP government did the same and invited flak from the public.
The 24 member new panel took oath and the devotees are expressing anger over appointing the rich corporate tycoons, political leaders and media bosses. Interestingly the new panel has more number of members from neighbouring states like Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra and New Delhi. Jupally Rameshwara Rao from Telangana needs no introduction. He owns My Home Groups and recently acquired TV9 news channel. Parthasarathy Reddy is the other member who owns Hetero pharmaceuticals and Damodar is one of the founders of ‘Namaste Telangana’ newspaper which is a mouth-piece of the ruling party in Telangana.
From Tamil Nadu is N Srinivasan. The former BCCI boss owns India cements, IPL team Chennai Super Kings and others. He was appointed for having close association with AP CM YS Jagan. Sudha Narayanamurthy who hails from Karnataka, is wife of Infosys founder Narayanamurthy. Perhaps Sudha is the only TTD member who is into many social works. She owns orphanages and took part in many rural development initiatives.
The other members like Ramesh Reddy, Narayana, Sivashankaran, Rajesh Sharma are big men into multiple businesses. From Andhra Pradesh, three members are MLAs while one lady is wife of YSRCP MP. Siva Kumar, Chippagiri Prasad Kumar, Nadella Subba Rao and Ananth are highly influential persons in politics and are big shots. The remaining members too are no less when compared to the above members.
So from where these biggies serve the common people is a million dollar question is what the devotees say. We can’t comment anything now as the new panel just took oath and we have to see what kind of improvements they will do for TTD and common devotees.
Pulihora Talk: 5 Crores For Vijay?
From the last two days, a rumour started engulfing Tollywood about the remuneration of this top-rated hero. But if we go by the things logically there is no way this could be true. Here is a quick look at it.
Apparently Tamil star Vijay Sethupathi is making inroads into Tollywood by making his presence felt in Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Sye Raa. After that film, he’s actually coming up with his role as a villain in newcomer hero, Sai Dharam Tej’s brother Vaishnav Tej’s movie Uppena. The rumours are indicating he’s paid almost 5 crores to turn villain in this small budgeted movie directed by debuting Buchi Babu, a protege of Sukumar.
Firstly, investing so much on Vijay Setupathi will not help the movie as it is a small budgeted one, and then the makers can’t grab audiences to theatres as Vijay is not such a powerful face in Telugu states. So, it is not viable to pay him such high. Also, it is highly unbelievable that an actor from the neighbouring state would charge such huge for a villain role.
