Chiranjeevi Will Work Harder Than Prabhas

Share

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s magnum opus Sye Raa is getting ready for release. And it’s time for promoting the film aggressively before it hits the silver screen.

According to sources, Chiranjeevi is keen on promoting “Sye Raa” more aggressively than what Prabhas recently did for “Saaho.”

When his son Ram Charan, the producer of the film, was discussing the strategies to promote the film with Chiranjeevi, he was surprised at the enthusiasm shown by his father in promoting the film.

The megastar stunned Ram Charan saying that he was ready to do whatever he could for the film publicity.

He offered to tour whichever city chosen for the promotion of the film. He appeared to be more enthusiastic than today’s young heroes.

Obviously, it is a prestigious issue for Chiranjeevi to see that Sye Raa is a mega hit. He is aware of the fact that the film needs a big buzz, especially in North India, since it is being released across India in a big way.

He wants that there should be a huge talk about Sye Raa across the country much before its release.

There is a reason for Chiranjeevi’s anxiety for massive publicity for Sye Raa. The huge success of Baahubali, a national award winning film, brought a lot of craze for Prabhas all over the country, especiallt among the youth.

So, they eagerly waited for the release of his next film Saaho. And when it was released recently, it generated a big buzz and recorded huge returns in North India.

On the other hand, the gen-next in northern states doesn’t know much about Chiranjeevi’s movies. So, “Sye Raa” definitely needs an extra push in those markets.

The Rs 200 crore period movie will be released in five languages simultaneously but producer Ram Charan is primarily betting high on Kannada and Hindi versions, besides the main Telugu language.

The team is planning a huge event in Bangalore as well after conducting the pre-release event in Kurnool.

“Today, mom and dad are celebrating their wedding anniversary. It was on this day that my mother had walked the sacred seven steps with my father by holding his hand and promising to be with him in his ideals and thoughts always. My mother has been my father’s true companion in his life. I extend my greetings to this ideal couple and heartily wish them a hundred years of happy and prosperous life.”

Rs 2000 Fine For ‘Lungi’ Driving

Commuters all over the country are fearing the new Motor Vehicle Act which imposes hefty fines for traffic violations. Jumping the signals, wrong route driving, helmet are some of the measures to be strictly followed here but Uttar Pradesh police have brought a new norm to this act which is ‘LUNGI DRIVING.’

Generally, truck drivers drive wearing Lungis and vests (Banians) as they take up long-distance journeys. In order to keep themselves comfortable, truck drivers prefer to wear Lungis and vests. But Uttar Pradesh Traffic Police are putting challans to truck drivers whoever is caught with wearing Lungis. This has shocked many and a few even questioned whether this is actually part of the new Motor Vehicle Act.

Issuing a clarification on this UP’s Transport Additional Commissioner said, as per the 1939 Motor Vehicle Act, truck drivers should wear proper outfits while driving, if not they will be fined. In the year 1989, this Act underwent amendments and for the same violation, drivers need to pay Rs 500 fine. With the new Act (2019), the penalty has increased to Rs 2000. The commissioner also added that the drivers should wear shoes and anyone who doesn’t follow none of the measures, will get a challan.

The truck drivers are raising objections over it. As this new Motor Vehicle Act 2019 is in its initial stages, they are said to be thinking of protesting on a larger stage such that this norms gets changed.

Talk Of The Town: PR planning by Mahesh team

Share

Despite the fact that there is no film of Mahesh Babu is releasing around the corner, there are some continuous pieces of news about him in the national media from a couple of weeks. This is a very good PR planning by his team as a set of articles are being written every alternate day on the superstar.

After talking about Mahesh’s definition of success, then about his political entry, the latest buzz is about his next movie. At a time when the shooting of KGF2 is taking place in Hyderabad, as the unit is banned to shoot in Karnataka state, surely this news is not a surprise. Prashant Neel is said to have met Mahesh on the sets of Sarileru Neekevvaru whose shoot is also going at Ramoji Film City alongside KGF Chapter 2.

The way Mahesh’s PR team is keeping him in the news all the time when Saaho craze has taken over tinsel town is really worth mentioning, but what are they aiming with this sketch is something unclear. Because, the release of Sarileru Neekevvaru is still four months to go, and these current stories won’t be of any help for a longer period.

Shocking Comments by Ex-Dy CM On Cabinet Expansion

Share

In less than a day of a KCR’s cabinet expansion, the MLAs have expressed their disappointment on TRS government for having denied them the ministerial berth. While former Home Minister Nayini Narasimha Reddy is said to turned down RTC chairman post, the latest one to display his unhappiness is former deputy CM Rajaiah.

Thatikonda Rajaiah, who represents Station Ghanpur assembly constituency, is upset for ignoring cabinet berth to ‘Madiga’ community. In a chit chat with media, Rajaiah reportedly confessed his agony on KCR saying, ‘Telangana has got 11 to 12% Madiga population but there is no place for them in state cabinet.’ He further said that someone has to speak for the Madiga community in newly formed state. ‘Whenever opposition speaks on behalf of them, this govt is quick to crush down their voice’, he opined.

Earlier in the day, Nayini too expressed his disappointment after his name was not considered into cabinet. Mynampalli Hanmanth Rao is other leader who seems to be unhappy over KCR, for not recognising him.

Couple of days ago, Avantika shared a cryptic post on her official Instagram account and it hinted that something in wrong in between them. Soon after she shared it with a quote, it looked like she is declaring that she is walking away from her husband Imran and it was official.

Avantika’s mother rubbished the rumours and said everything is fine in between the couple. Soon after the post went viral, Avanthika deleted it and pretended as if nothing happened.

She wrote, ‘Needed to see this today.’ ‘Sometimes, you have to walk away. You have to look at the things you’re giving energy to and realize that even though you could stay, and try to win their approval or try to make it up their ladder, you could also make the brave choice to take whatever energy you have left to a space that welcomes you.’ (sic)

This quote ended with a significant line: “You may still need to walk away, trusting there is so much more ahead of you.”

Son, nephew’s induction into cabinet is KCR’s calculated move

Share

Hyderabad: The induction of both son and nephew into the cabinet by Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao shows that he doesn’t want to take any chances in the wake of Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) aggressive attempts to consolidate the gains made in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

As the outcome of Lok Sabha polls spoiled his plans to move to Delhi to play a key role in national politics leaving the Chief Minister’s post for his son K.T. Rama Rao, KCR, as the Chief Minister is popularly known, realised that he can’t afford to give any room to the BJP, which is in an aggressive mode to expand its base in the state.

By inducting nephew T. Harish Rao into the cabinet and allotting him key portfolio of finance, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has tried to leave no room for any dissidence in the party.

It was being speculated that KCR was sidelining Harish Rao to pave the way for his son KTR to take over the mantle. He had, in fact, made all preparations for KTR’s elevation by making him the TRS working president after it retained the power with a landslide win in December 2018. KCR wanted to focus on national politics as he had floated the idea Federal Front as an alternative to both the BJP and the Congress.

In the first cabinet expansion, KCR kept both KTR and Harish Rao out, who were part of his previous cabinet.

Holding several important portfolios, like industry, information technology, urban development and municipal administration, KTR had emerged as the number two. His cousin Harish Rao was minister for irrigation.

The buzz in political circles was that Harish was kept out to block any problem in KTR’s elevation after the Lok Sabha polls. But by retaining power at the Centre and with a huge majority, the BJP dashed KCR’s hopes of playing a role in national politics.

KCR also suffered a setback as the BJP increased its tally of Lok Sabha seats to four from just one in the 2014 Lok Sabha. With the Congress too bagging three seats, the TRS failed in its game-plan to win all 17 seats, including a seat of its ally All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM).

KCR also suffered a big blow as his daughter K. Kavitha lost to the BJP in Nizamabad. Since then the BJP has been projecting itself as the alternative to the TRS. The BJP central leaders too have started focusing on the state with an aim to gain power in 2023. It also wooed leaders from other parties, including a couple of them from the TRS.

“In such a situation, keeping Harish Rao out could have created a problem for KCR,” said a political analyst.

While KTR has been allotted the same portfolios he was holding in the previous cabinet, Harish Rao has been entrusted with the key portfolio of finance.

“KCR advanced the Assembly election dates and succeeded. This time in the face of aggressive defection planned by the BJP, he didn’t want to take any chances,” analyst Telakapalli Ravi told IANS.

“It also signifies growing vulnerability of KCR and that he can’t afford to take unilateral decisions as he had thought after winning the second term with a massive majority,” he said.

“KCR has taken a measured and less-risky step in his cabinet expansion,” says another analyst P. Raghava Reddy.

Ravi believes KCR will be hard pressed to provide any logical explanation as to why he delayed the inevitable for so long. “Harish Rao also proved his loyalty by not uttering a word of protest or displaying signs of any misadventure,” said Ravi, pointing out that Harish Rao had also offered to work under KTR.

KCR also inducted two women into the cabinet to silence his opponents, who had been targeting him for giving no representation to women in his previous cabinet.

Ganta to join YSRC, to be nominated to RS?

Share

If the reports coming from the YSR Congress party are to be believed, decks have been cleared for the defection of former minister and Telugu Desam Party MLA from Visakhapatnam (north) Ganta Srinivasa Rao into the YSR Congress party shortly.

According to highly placed sources, YSRC president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has given the green signal for Ganta’s entry into the party.

Apparently, Jagan has felt that Ganta would definitely add to the strength of the YSRC in Visakhapatnam, as the latter, despite allegations of corruptions against him, had his own cadre strength and image in the district.

If he does not get a chance to join the YSRC, he would jump into the BJP any way and that would be a further nuisance for the YSRC. Hence, it is better to take him into YSRC and tighten the screws around him, Jagan felt.

But there is a problem. Though Ganta had been serious trying to defect into the YSR Congress party for quite some, he could not succeed in his attempts because state tourism minister and Bhimili MLA Muthamsetti Srinivasa Rao alias Avanti Srinivas who has been stalling his attempts.

This led to war of words between Ganta and Avanti some time back. In order to avoid this confrontation, Jagan has a plan.

Sources said Jagan told Ganta that he would have to resign from his assembly membership as a matter of policy of the YSRC. And in the next April, Ganta would be nominated to Rajya Sabha.

If Ganta goes to Delhi, it will avoid local troubles for Avanti. At the same time, Rajya Sabha membership will help Ganta to safeguard his political and business interests!

KCR ill-treating new Governor?

Share

Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who never questioned the appointment of previous Governor E S L Narasimhan, seems to be wary of new Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan.

Though officially the TRS or KCR did not make any comment on the new Governor, an article written by CM’s press secretary Vanam Jwala Narasimha Rao in a local English daily triggered uproar in the political circles.

In the article titled “Gubernatorial gimmicks of modern times,” the CM’s press secretary questioned the manner in which Tamilisai was appointed.

He argued that as per Sarkaria Commission recommendations, no person with immediate political background should be appointed as Governor of a state, that too, without consulting the chief minister.

Bharatiya Janata Party strongly reacted to the article and wondered whether KCR and his government were scared of the new Governor.

“The article written by KCR’s public relations officer clearly shows that the Chief Minister’s Office is quite rattled on Governor’s appointment for reasons only known to them,” BJP spokesperson K Krishnasagar Rao said.

He alleged that the author had cast aspersions on the new governor and presumed that she would misuse the office.

“He also categorically states the recent appointment is a political rehabilitation, which is highly condemnable,” the BJP leader said.

He said the BJP strongly condemns these baseless accusations and presumptive political conspiracy being attributed to a constitutional custodian appointed through due process. He demanded an apology from KCR to the Governor.

Shankar Gets the Same Result of Rajamouli

Share

Rajamouli, who is now regarded as the number one director in India, saw humiliation from the Chinese audiences.

His “Baahubali” movies were rejected totally in China while the rest of the world lapped it up.

It was still a mystery for Rajamouli why his movies that boast of opulent sets and international-standard VFX didn’t win the hearts of the Chinese audience.

Director Shankar hoped to prove his upper hand over Rajamouli at least in the Chinese market with “2.0” but he got a rude shock.

The movie is not working at the Chinese ticket window at all. It has already been declared flop in China after seeing its performance in its first weekend.

The film opened to poor response there and no visible growth is witnessed. This is one of the worst openings for an Indian film in the dragon market.

“2.0” starred Superstar Rajinikanth in the lead role and Akshay Kumar appeared in a negative role.

Despite the presence of Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar, the Chinese audiences didn’t show much interest.

It will be pulled out from the theaters from tomorrow.

Can ‘friendly party’ become ‘main opposition’ in TS?

Share

A strange situation has cropped up in Telangana Legislative Assembly today. MIM MLAs occupied the chairs in the Assembly meant for Main Opposition party.

Congress MLAs were sitting in these chairs all these days.

But after the defection and merger of 12 Congress MLAs into ruling TRS recently, the Congress lost ‘main opposition’ status as it has just 6 MLAs now.

The MIM on the other hand emerged as the largest party after TRS with 7 MLAs.

However, to get ‘main opposition status’ in TS Assembly for any party, it should have 12 MLAs. But MIM has only 7 MLAs.

Despite this, the Speaker has allotted ‘main opposition’ seats to MIM. However, MIM is the ‘friendly party’ of TRS.

TRS chief and Telangana CM KCR himself announced in the Assembly more than once that MIM is the ‘friendly party’ of TRS.

This will naturally raise a question whether a ‘friendly party’ can don the role of a ‘main opposition’ party and question ruling party on its failures and unfulfilled poll promises.
