Buzz: Sharrath Marar Back In Mega Camp!
Sharrath Marar, who was shown the door by Pawan Kalyan after producing a couple of films with him, is rumored to be back in mega compound again.
This time, the experienced business strategist has got a call from Ram Charan, who is heading Konidela Production Company.
As Sye Raa is nearing the release date, Ram Charan felt that there is the need of someone experienced in the film trade like Sharrath and he has reportedly handed over some key responsibilities to him.
Neither Pawan Kalyan nor Allu Aravind were against Charan’s decision it seems.
Pawan has welcomed Charan’s decision to hire Sharrath as a key member in Konidela Company team. Also Allu Aravind, who was Sharrath’s ex boss didn’t say No to Charan’s idea.
Sharrath released a couple of dubbing films and produced digital content after coming out of Pawan’s office. But he is now back in the Mega Company.
Saaho: AP & TS First Week Collections
Publicized as India’s biggest action drama, “Saaho” has ended its first-week run in a mixed way.
The film was released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam languages across the world in thousands of screens amidst huge expectations.
True to the hype, the film stunned all the trade pundits by raking in humungous collections everywhere on the first day and the collections remained the same during the first weekend.
However, its story of great glory at the box-office ended on its fifth day. It saw the first huge drop on Tuesday and never bounced back. Thus the first week had ended on a bad note.
While the film has already been declared a huge disaster in Tamil, the action drama has become one of the biggest hits this year in Bollywood as it raked in a nett of Rs nearly 120 Cr.
Now coming to the collections for the Telugu version in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, “Saaho” is looking at huge losses for the distributors.
Nizam and Vizag regions were released by Dil Raju on an advanced basis. Nizam is the only region that has better placed among all the territories. Remaining all areas tend to lose heavily.
The film’s first week collections are whopping Rs 74 Cr in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. But the movie is facing an uphill task now onwards.
It needs another Rs 50 Cr in AP and TS to reach the break-even stage which looks impossible at this moment.

Shraddha Das Slams Bigg Boss Rumors
Shraddha Das’s name has been dragged into the list of probable actresses for wild card entry many times.
With media constantly speculating her name and writing that she should sign the show as she doesn’t have much offers must have irked this hot beauty.
Tired of reading the same rumors, she has put them to the rest with a series of tweets. She rubbished the Bigg Boss rumors saying she is not craving for it.
“I really thought that these innumerable #BiggBoss3Telugu stories doing the rounds will die down but it seems that im in a new story everyday inspite of being ‘outside’ the house!!!..And some are really not right or ethical!,” she posted.

Shraddha further posted that she is quite busy as actress in different languages. Though she is not doing films in Telugu, she has work in other language movie industries.
“1stly,I haven’t been approached for it,2ndly my decision to do something or not do something is ‘ONLY’ based on my comfort,interest,benefit,image and availability, ‘NOT’ based on a person.3rdly i am working in almost 5 different language industries simultaneously,” she posted.
She continued, “Not doing a film in a particular language,does not mean the person is not working in films elsewhere. Atleast i could be asked once instead of making stories about me going in and then make reasons of y i am not going in…which in the 1st place is fully imaginary.”
PC to eat ‘dal-roti’ in plastic utensils in Tihar, spend b’day locked up
New Delhi: Former Finance Minister P. Chidambaram was on Thursday lodged in the capital’s Tihar Jail where he will not find it easy to adjust to the stifling barracks which will be a far cry from his days in North Block.
Chidambaram’s son Karti Chidambaram was also lodged in the same jail earlier.
Earlier on Thursday, a court here sent Chidambaram to 14-day judicial custody in the INX Media case.
The span will cover Chidambaram’s 74th birthday – on September 16 – which he will have to spend locked up.
The court has allowed the former Union Minister to take his medicines along with him. Since Chidambaram enjoys Z-category security, the court also allowed him to be kept in a separate cell with adequate arrangements for his security.
The senior Congress leader, who was arrested by the CBI in the case last month and had undergone interrogation, will be lodged in Tihar Jail till September 19.
With a high-profile undertrial like Chidambaram set to be lodged in the prison, one would expect special arrangements to be made.
On being asked about any specific preparations, Director General of Prisons, Sandeep Goyal told IANS: “A jail is a jail. We only follow the court’s orders. No one lodged in a jail is special.”
He said Chidambaram would be treated like a normal prisoner.
Chidambaram is facing trial for financial crimes and is also aged above 70 but Goyal only said “We will do what the jail manual says,” as he brushed aside any security concerns.
Jail No. 7 houses 600-700 inmates, the majority of whom are jailed for crimes against women though the block has traditionally been used to house economic offenders.
The process to lodge Chidambaram will start with his thumbprint being taken on his entry into the jail as CBI officials will hand over all the legal documents to the jail staff to begin the official paperwork.
The jail staff will be given details of the charges against the high-profile inmate who will need to inform them about his family details and who will come to visit him in jail.
In view of his advanced age, he will be provided services of a physician to check his blood pressure at night. He may also be given personal use of the barrack that normally houses 10 inmates.
Apart from his clothes, he will not be allowed to carry anything from his home.
Chidambaram will also have to eat the jail’s ‘dal-roti’ in plastic utensils or he can get food from the jail canteen.
He will also be required to attend early morning prayers like all other inmates.
A jail official, asked how new inmates are woken up in the morning, simply said: “Do you think a high-profile inmate like Chidambaram will be able to get any sleep in the jail cell on his first night?”

Jagan Seeks Exemption To Appear Before Court
It is known that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has been appearing before CBI special court every Friday pertaining to the disproportionate assets case.
Since Jagan is busy looking after the administrative affairs of Andhra Pradesh as CM, he wants an exemption from CBI Court. So, the YSRCP Supreme filed a petition seeking to grant him exemption from personal appearance before the court on Friday, to discharge administrative duties as chief minister of state.
Jagan Mohan Reddy, further in his petition, has sought permission to allow his lawyer in his absence. The CBI special Court is expected to take up Jagan’s petition on this Friday. In the past, the CBI special court exempted him from personally appearing in the court while election campaign after Jagan filed a petition.
Prabhas Happy With Saaho’s Success, Thanks Fans
Before the release of Saaho, Prabhas was all over the country promoting the film big time. But post the film’s release, Prabhas had cut down on the promotional blitzkrieg. The film last week released and a lot has been said about it.
Everyone was curious about Prabhas’ reaction to fans’ response for Saaho. Ending his silence finally, for the first time since the film’s release, Prabhas opened up about Saaho, and get seems to be quite happy with the way the film has been received.

Jagan gives APHMEL shocker to KCR!
Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy delivered a deadly blow to Telangana CM KCR by issuing a GO (government order) taking over Andhra Pradesh Heavy Machinery and Engineering Ltd (APHMEL) unilaterally.
APHMEL belongs to Singareni Collieries Ltd and located near Vijayawada. It produces machinery which is used by Singareni.
Singareni Collieries is owned by Telangana governent with a stake of 51 per cent while Centre owns remaining 49 per cent.
Singareni Collieries has 84 per cent stake in APHMEL.
Telangana government and Singareni Collieries are strongly opposing giving away APHME to AP on the ground that it does not belong to AP and it is owned by Singareni Collieries, which is owned by Telangana.
Despite this, Jagan issued orders taking over APHMEL on the ground that it is located in AP. APHMEL has assets and a huge land bank valued at over Rs 600 crore.
This sudden development shocked Singareni as well as TS government.
Singareni took up this issue with KCR, who too expressed shock and anguish over AP government’s move.
KCR reportedly told Singareni officials that he will speak to Jagan and ensure that he revokes the GO.
KCR told them that he and Jagan are maintaining ‘cordial relations’ and expressed confidence that Jagan will revoke the GO and handover APHMEL back to Singareni soon.
Why BJP making a fuss on doles to pastors?
The outburst by Bharatiya Janata Party over the decision of paying monthly remuneration of Rs 5,000 to pastors by the Andhra Pradesh government has given yet another weapon to Bharatiya Janata Party to attack chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
BJP national secretary Sunil Deodhar took serious exception to Jagan government’s decision and described it as blasphemous to favour a particular religion.
“How can the government spend public funds to pay Christian pastors, especially when pastors mock & proselytize deprived & poor people of other religion?” he asked and said it would add fuel fire.
The BJP Andhra Pradesh unit also tweeted accusing the Jagan government of spending public funds to favour Christians.
The tweets follow a memo issued by the minorities welfare department to collectors of all districts on August 27, directing them to carryout enumeration of pastors in their jurisdictions for payment of the monthly remuneration of Rs 5,000 as promised by Jagan in his party’s election manifesto.
The collectors were advised to make use of the services of recently recruited village volunteers in collecting the pastors’ data. The circular has drawn protests from different social sections.
But what the saffron party forgot was that the Jagan government had also issued a similar circular for identification of temple priests for payment of honorarium and increase in the honorarium for those who were already getting the payment.
This circular was issued by revenue (endowments) department secretary Dr Manmohan Singh on August 20 itself.
According to the circular, the government has dispensed with the system of retirement for priests, increase the remuneration being paid to priests working in specified temples by 25 percent and payment of Rs 10,000 to Rs 35,000 per month to small temples (based on population in respective villages) to meet doopa-dheepa expenses and to pay remuneration to the priests.
The order also mentioned that house sites should be allotted to priests and houses be built. This was also one of the promises made by Jagan during the election campaign.
So, why the BJP leaders are making so much fuss on the pastors’ payment?
