Huge Traffic Jam In Hyderabad
A huge traffic jam has brought half of Hyderabad and Secunderabad to a standstill since this morning. On one side, a large number of people have thronged to the Khairatabad Ganpati pandal to offer prayers to the tallest Vinayaka idol in the Telugu speaking states.
On the other hand, the Sikh community has carried out a huge Rath Yatra from Ameerpet Gurudwar to Gouliguda. The Khairatabad route is jam-packed till Kukatpally and commuters, especially students and employees, have been facing a lot of difficulties in swimming through the sea of traffic.
A large number of police personnel have been deployed to ease the situation. The cops are diverting the traffic via SR Nagar and Punjagutta circles. The situation will remain the same for the next few days until the Vinayak immersion.
Will Raviteja Respond On ‘Cheap Star’ Remarks?
It is almost everywhere now that RX100 fame director Ajay Bhupathi’s tweet ‘Chepa Star’ is, in fact, a jibe at Mass Raja Raviteja only. The news got everywhere that the actor demanded 10 crore remuneration from producer Gemini Kiran after everything is set, and that led to the cancellation of the film now.
As some big print media houses also published the ‘Cheap Star’ news, we have to see if Raviteja will respond on the fiasco or not. The mass hero has to respond because his image is at stake now as he lost that ‘dependable hero’ tag already. #BiggBoss3: Thieves Task Cancelled, Two Contestants Jailed
Taking blows, locking hands, pushing, pulling, squeezing, choking and finally fighting- the contestants of Bigg Boss 3 have shown all their street smart skills on Wednesday night’s episode of the Telugu reality show.
The ‘Thieves’ task hasn’t gone well with contestants losing their temper at all the times and started abusing others with choicest of words. With Ravi and Rahul trying to blockade Ali, the latter erupted verbally and found interruption from Punarnavi for obvious reasons. Similarly, Ali tried to overpower Shilpa, but the act failed big time.
Finally, with contestants trying to hide everything inside the pool, under the water, the likes of Himaja and Sreemukhi thought of snatching goods from thieves by tying a bed sheet to them and pulling them out. At that time, the task failed big time as Big Boss announced to call it off.
Later Varun Sandesh is made to name two contestants who has spoiled the whole task and the contestants voted 8 votes for Rahul, 5 for Ravi and 4 for Ali Reza. That made Big Boss push Rahul and Ravi into jail and asked the inmates to not provided them with any food or water. Big Boss gave them some soups to drink.
Journalist Swetha Reddy Joins BJP
Remember the journalist Swetha Reddy who shot to fame by joining KA Paul’s Praja Shanti Party during the general elections? This lady journo has joined the BJP in the presence of Kanna Lakshminarayana.
Swetha Reddy also made it to the headlines by making accusations against the reality show Bigg Boss. She approached the police and lodged a complaint against the organizers of the show claiming that they asked sexual favours for her to be part of the show.
Her brief political innings resumed with BJP and we have to see how the saffron party utilizes her. Being a journalist, Swetha can be a good spokesperson pitching the party’s voice strongly.
Varun Says To Vithika: We Came To Contest, Not For Honeymoon
For the kind of nagging and emotional blackmail Vithika does, audiences are expecting that one day Varun Sandesh might explode big time, leaving his wife in huge tears. All the time, it is Varun who runs to his wife and consoles her even though he has no share of a mistake in hurting her. But other day, he simply rejected being that.
With Vithika asking Varun Sandesh to spend time with him, Varun Sandesh shot back at her in a mild tone, reminding her of the reason why they have come to #BiggBoss2. Varun Sandesh emphasised, “What do you mean by ‘spend time with me’? We’re here together 24×7. Later Vithika broke down into tears and clarified that she’s only asking him to clarify certain things, but nothing more than that. However, the episode came to an end here and the rest of it will be seen on Thursday night episode only. But Varun Sandesh seems to have broken with the way Vithika is putting mental pressure on him all the time.
“I’ve been noticing you from last three days and the way you’re speaking up is wrong,” said Varun, for which Vithika started crying madly and walked out.
Except Salaries, AP Stops All Payments
Cash-strapped Andhra Pradesh is heading towards a huge financial crisis. The state government has decided to stop the payments of all pending payments. However, the slight relief is that it hasn’t stopped the payments of salaries and pensions to government employees.
As per reports, several bills are pending with the Treasury and Pay and Accounts departments of AP state government. But the government has put all those bills on hold owing to cash crunch. Several departments are having insufficient funds. Large number of bills are pending since general elections. It is buzzed that even the cab bills during the elections that were hired are still due.
For instance, Visakhapatnam district administration, which had availed the cab services at Rs 60,000 per car per month during elections, have not cleared those dues yet. Even after five months, the dues are unpaid inviting flak from the taxi companies who are planning to stage dharnas demanding their pending payment. Visakha District Cab Owners and Drivers Association president BM Patrudu said that officials have reasoned the “lack of funds” for the delay in payment.
The government is paying the salaries and pensions of employees on priority as delay in that would invite huge anger and outcry from various government employees. And the next priority is the welfare schemes announced by CM Jagan Mohan Reddy. Government officials admit that the bills submitted during previous government are kept on hold.
Biopic: PV Sindhu Wants Deepika Padukone
PV Sindhu is one among the famous badminton players in the world and definitely, one of the greatest players from India. Now a biopic on her sports journey will be reportedly made next year and on this, we are hearing many speculations. Coming to the lead actress, people have been guessing who would suit best to portray PV Sindhu on screen. However, when asked Sindhu, she said that she has a name in her mind.
The Bollywood’s most adorable actress Deepika Padukone, who is also a daughter of former Badminton player, Prakash Padukone, is apt, according to Sindhu. In an interview, PV Sindhu aid, “I would definitely want Deepika Padukone to play my role. She had played the game and is a good actor too. But then the makers would take the final decision and I trust their decision”.
Moreover, the height, athlete figure and knowledge on the subject, everything comes in favour of Deepika that would bring in the similarities with PV Sindhu. This biopic will be produced by actor Sonu Sood and Akshay Kumar is in talks for playing the role of coach Pullela Gopichand in the film. When asked about the same, Sindhu said that she can’t confirm the news about Akshay Kumar but she will meet producer Sonu Sood soon and get clarity on it. Sindhu went on to say that she is also pretty excited and looking forward for the film just like others.
Deepika Padukone is a national level badminton player and her sister Anisha is a golf player. Coming from a sport family, the actress will surely do justice to the biopic.
From Non-Baahubali To Non-Prabhas Very Soon?
After the arrival of “Baahubali” franchise which wiped all the records in Telugu film industry when it comes to the box office collections, the Telugu fans have started talking about non-Baahubali records. But now, it looks like Superstar Prabhas is likely to give everyone a tough time.
Already the Top 5 slots when it comes to collections are loaded with two Baahubali movies all these days. For example, we have Baahubali 2, Baahubali 1, Rangasthalam, Khaidi No 150 and Maharshi in the Top 5 ‘share’ getting Telugu films from the worldwide box office. And now, kicking Maharshi out of the club, Prabhas’ Saaho took the 3rd place.
Going by the craze the Baahubali star has developed for himself, tomorrow if he comes up with two more films, then all the films in “Top 5” belongs only to him. Maybe from then, the fans would love to say non-Prabhas records. Even every film poster that prints numbers will have to claim it as ‘non Prabhas’ record only.
At the same time we have to see if any film would replace Baahubali series at the top. Surely #RRR has the chance to do, while we cannot under-estimate #SyeRaa as well.
US: Indian student tried to save friend, both dies
Ajay Kumar Koyyalamudi, a 24-year-old from Karnataka’s Raichur, went to the US for his higher studies to Texas in 2018 December. He died yesterday in an unfortunate incident while trying to save his friend. His friend Teja also lost his life after falling into the water.
A group of friends have gone to Turner falls(Oklahoma) on a recreational trip and Ajay got accidentally drowned when he jumped into the water to save his friend, Teja. Ajay was a resident of Sindanur Taluk in Raichur and was studying Construction Engineering at the University of Texas, Arlington. The friends travelled 330 km from Dallas to Oklahoma for a trip to Turner Falls. Least they could imagine this horrific incident coming their way.
When one of his friends, Teja Koushik Voleti, lost balance and fell into the water, Ajay took the initiative of jumping into the river and saving him. But he ended up drowning himself. His friend Teja, a 22-year-old, also died due to drowning.
The Telugu Association of America approached the Indian High Commissioner Office in Texas to get Ajay’s and Teja’s bodies back to their residences in India. The incident has left both the family members in deep shock and grief.
