PV Sindhu’s historic gold victory at BWF World championships is leaving the country proud today. Her massive triumph has a lot of hard work behind and the video below is evident enough on how much Sindhu trained herself to reach this level. After all, for an athlete being fit is extremely important to achieve success in this highly competitive world of sports.
The video shows Sindhu doing strenuous physical exercises and it is understood that there is a lot of importance given to fitness from her side. We can see jump rope workouts, weigh-training, muscle pumping and explosive exercises in the video. Not to mention, bodyweight squats are one of the hardest and Sindhu did it with ease.
Not only Sindhu, but every athlete like her will also need to have distinct physique apart from talent. Being fit is the basic foundation to gain results and one can achieve Sindhu’s style of court speed only through intense efforts. Flexibility is one among the important aspects for a badminton player and the video suggests a few workouts in order to reach, dive and turn all over the court while playing.
We salute PV Sindhu for her terrific talent. It is a well-deserved recognition. The video has in fact left us in awe and made us learn Sindhu’s unimaginable strength and endurance behind the success. It is no wonder that famous personalities like Anand Mahindra and R Madhavan tweeted the video on their timelines, thereby inspiring many others.
Young hero Aadi Saikumar is and has been trying different genres to impress the audience. A romantic entertainer titled ‘Jodi’ is the upcoming movie of Aadi and we have the trailer of it.
Opens with Aadi boozing on the terrace for quite a few reasons. He seems to be a responsible son, working and taking care of home while his dad played by Naresh is addicted to betting and loses lots of money. Then as usually Aadi falls in love with the female lead Shraddha Srinath whose name is Kanchanamala and is a old school lady. She uses Nokia 3300 phone which reveals her mindset in the film.
After Aadi and Shraddha falling in love, they would like to take their relationship forward but hurdles come in between. The latter half of the trailer is packed with emotions but the conflict is not revealed. A young lad enters with negative shades but his character is incomplete in the trailer. This might be the suspense element.
Vennela Kishore and Satya try to provide few laughs but it looks forced and overall ‘Jodi’ trailer is sensible and partially okay.
Directed by Viswanath Arigela, the film is releasing on September 6th.
There is strong buzz in TRS party circles that party chief and Telangana CM KCR has decided to revamp his cabinet in September.
They say KCR has also made up his mind on inducting his son KTR, who is also party’s working president now, into his cabinet. KTR will be given his old portfolios of IT, MAUD, textiles and NRI affairs.
In that case, KTR has to leave his working president post.
TRS sources said KCR has decided to appoint his daughter Kavitha as working president in the place of KCR. In that way, KCR wants to bring his daughter into political limelight again.
Kavitha almost took ‘political sanyas’ after she suffered shocking defeat at the hands of BJP in Nizambad Lok Sabha seat in May.
She has been confining to his house in Hyderabad and not seen either in her home constituency Nizamabad or at Pragathi Bhavan or at Telangana Bhavan or taking any active part in party activities since then.
TRS sources said KCR has decided to nominate her to Rajya Sabha in May next year, when one seat from Telangana will fall vacant due to retirement of Garikapati Rammohan Rao, who defected fom TDP to BJP recently.
Till that time, she will be in political limelight as TRS working president. However, there is a shocker for Harish Rao and his supporters in TRS.
Apparently, KCR has not taken any decision on inclusion of Harish into his cabinet.
KCR is learnt to have kept Harish issue pending and is expected to take a decision at the last minute, whether to take him into his cabinet or not.
KCR is expected to take up cabinet expansion in the second week of September just before the commencement of budget session of Assembly.
The countdown to the release of this year’s most expensive Indian film has begun. Only hours to go before Saaho releases, and distributors/exhibitors are already expressing their muted misgivings on the monstrous expectations of the audience.
The film’s length of nearly three hours is being seen as an obstacle to Saaho’s spectacular performance.
A distributor asks angrily, “Why are filmmakers again making lengthy films like they used to in the last millennium? Uss waqt log phursat mein rehte tthe. Who has the time to see a 3-hour film in today’s day and age? I see a lot of films exceeding the 2-hour limit these days.”
As for Saaho running into nearly three hours, Bihar exhibitor Roshan Singh reasons, “Films like Lagaan, Devdas in the past and Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Bharat in recent times have been lengthy and successful. So size is not about the performance.”
Kishan Damani, a leading distributor of Bihar who is distributing Saaho feels it has all the makings of a blockbuster.
“It will live up to the expectations. Firstly because it’s a high-octane action thriller with action sequences never witnessed in Bollywood. Secondly, Prabhas has developed a nationwide fan-following after Baahubali. Thirdly, it looks promising for both single screen and multiplex audience.”
Trade analyst Atul Mohan is worried about the low advance-booking numbers for the Hindi version of Saaho.
“It has to be a blockbuster. So much is at stake. Prabhas’ next after Baahubali. Expectations are skyhigh. It’s getting the widest release in all languages combined, which is next to Baahubali 2. The advance booking for Saaho in Telugu is very strong for first three days in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The advance-booking in Hindi has to pick up dramatically. So far it’s very low. Let’s wait and watch.”
Trade insider Girish Johar worries over the burden of Saaho to deliver a blockbuster.
“The expectations are humongous and the curiosity is at its peak. It will surely have a fantabulous start. Thereafter the word of mouth and audiences’ acceptance of the film will do the trick.”
As far as Prabhas carrying the film on his sturdy shoulders goes Girish Johar quips, “If he could carry that massive shivling on his shoulder in Baahubali, why not this film? Down South he is HUUUGE MEGA STAR and up North he is pretty well-established. Let’s not forget, he is coming back after Baahubali so he’s pretty much in very good and comfortable situation. The boundaries are slowly diminishing for a regional star’s pan-India appeal and Prabhas may well be on an upward trajectory.”
Bihar exhibitor Suman Sinha is confident that the film will ride the hype wave if not sail on its intrinsic merits.
“It will no doubt get a phenomenal initial, on a par with Avengers Endgame. An unprecedented hype has been created on social media. The youth is our primary audience. They love hi-tech action like 2:0. This is a WOW generation. Content or no content. Lots of special effects required. It raises their Adrenaline levels. Also, the fact that there’s no other release this Friday will help.”
Critic Raja Sen has the last word: “I think audiences could do with a big budget action epic, so if Saaho is visually spectacular enough, it should ride high.”
Contrary to speculations, Megastar Chiranjeevi’s “Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy” is not moving out from the original date of October 2nd.
The epic period drama is sticking its already announced date.
It was reported that the movie will postpone to October 8th to avert the direct competition with Hrithik Roshan and Tiger’s “War” which is looking like a massive movie with international standard action episodes. But “Sye Raa” is not worrying about “War”. It is banking more on “Saaho”.
Ram Charan is confident that if “Saaho” clicks in Hindi markets, the exhibitors in North India will show more interest to screen “Sye Raa”.
If possible, Charan also wants to bring in Prabhas for a promotional event of “Sye Raa” in Mumbai. But it all this depends on the success of “Saaho” in Hindi. So, Ram Charan and Megastar Chiranjeevi are banking more on “Saaho”.
If “Saaho” fails to create an impact in North India, then Charan will have to be worried about the competition with Hrithik’s “War”. The trailer of “War” has given shiver to all the makers. The action episodes are far superior to what we have seen in the trailer of “Saaho”.
“Sye Raa”, a period drama starring Amitabh Bachchan, Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Tamannah, and Sudeep, is Rs 200 Cr movie with a patriotic theme.
The Hindi version’s rights were snapped up by Farhan Akthar and Anil Tadani.
For the last few days, the debate over Andhra Pradesh municipal administration and urban development minister Botsa Satyanarayana’s statement over Amaravati has been raging across the state.
Now, many people seem to have come to a conclusion that the YSR Congress party government headed by Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy will shift the capital from Amaravati to somewhere else.
This was evident from the response to an online survey conducted in the last one week by Greatandhra.com on the question: Will Jagan shift Andhra capital from Amaravati? The poll which began at 10 am on August 21 ended at 11.27 am on Wednesday.
Poll: Will Jagan shift Andhra capital from Amaravati?
Out of 10,320 readers of Greatandhra.com, who took part in the poll, as many as 5,602 people, accounting for 54.28 per cent expressed the view that Jagan is, indeed, going to shift the capital from Amaravati.
As many as 3,605 voters, accounting for 34.93 per cent of the total participants in the poll, said there is no possibility of shifting the capital from Amaravati at this stage.
Apparently, they felt it would result in huge financial loss to the state and might result in massive protests from the people.
The remaining 1112 voters (10.78 per cent) said they can’t say whether Jagan will shift the capital or not.
May be, they want to keep their fingers crossed till the chief minister makes an announcement to this effect.
TRS chief and Telangana CM KCR suddently started talking about ‘economic recession’ for the past three days.
He has been giving preachings to ministers and officials on the urgent need to maintain ‘financial discipline’, cut down expenditure and make savings for government etc in the wake of ‘economic recession’ across the globe and also in India.
KCR has been holding meetings with senior officials from finance and other departments at Pragathi Bhavan for the past three days to discuss on budget proposals for 2019-20.
He has to present full-fledged budget for Telangana for 2019-20 in September as the vote-on-account budget KCR presented in March this year will expire in six months in September.
But the words of financial discipline, savings, prudence, coming from the mouth of a person like KCR has left not only ministers and officials but also Telangana people shocked.
Because a person who is known for lavish spending and thinks himself as Nizam Nawab of Hyderabad is now talking about savings every day.
A person who built Pragathi Bhavan at a cost of Rs 500 crore by demolishing IAS quarters despite having a luxurious CM camp office built by late YSR because of vastu reasons, a person who is ready to demolish existing 10 blocks in Secretariat premises worth thousands of crores of rupees on vastu grounds and just to satisfy his ego of not using Secretariat used by Seemandhra CMs, a person who has decided to construct new Secretariat and Assembly by spending Rs 1,000 crore despite both old buidlings are in a position to sustain for another few decades, a person who is maintaining the costliest and lavish convoy, bus in the country by spending crores of rupees and a person who spent nearly Rs 1.50 crore just on mementos to be presented to AP CM Jagan, Maharashtra CM Fadnavis and others during recent Kaleshwaram inauguration and a person who uses special flights for his personal visits, pilgrimage with family members by spending crores of rupees of public money and a person who splurges crores of rupees on yagams, homams and a person who donates crores of rupees of public money to various temples to fulfill his personal vows is now talking about financial disciplilne which is not digested even by hardcore KCR fans and loyalists.
But why KCR suddenly started talking about financial discipline?
Sources say KCR realised that Telangana despite being a ‘revenue surplus state’ after bifurcation of AP, the Telangana economy is now on the verge of collapse due to financial indiscipline and mindless spending of KCR during the past five years.
KCR realised that he cannot fulfill the major poll promises of recent Assembly polls due to cash crunch, and to escape from this situation, KCR is trying to find out some ‘lame excuses’ and put blame on them for the present condition.
For this, KCR took up the issue of ‘economic recession’ saying that it has hit the earnings of Telangana state government very hard resulting in cash crunch.
If economic recession is only the real reason for present crisis, why not PM Modi or CMs of other states are talking about this.
Global recession is true and its impact on all countries including India is also true. But it is yet to set in completely and as of now the major affected sector is automobile industry.
When did global recession has hit TRS government so badly that it has no money now and it cannot implement poll promises is something which KCR needs to give an explanation to people who re-elected him as CM for second term with a thumping majority.
