In the recent elections, BJP made roads to West Bengal. By winning 18 Lok Sabha seats and getting slightly above forty percent vote share, it sent waves to the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) party. Ever since the poll results, BJP and TMC leaders and party workers are constantly fighting with each other. Now BJP is making tall claims that the party will form the next government and end Mamata Banerjee monarchy rule.

Having sensed BJP’s growing strength, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has roped in popular political strategist Prashant Kishor. He was the main man behind YSR Congress party’s grand victory in Andhra Pradesh and his track record is also quite decent. However Mamata and Prashant did not make any official statement. In fact Prashant has separately started a new wing with the name ‘Youth In Politics.’ Under his initiative he wants to train youngster of Bengal state about politics and after their training they will be given liberty to choose whichever party they want to join. Prashant Kishor is aiming at least five lakh youngsters to be part of his initiative.

Political experts in West Bengal state believe that Prashant Kishor is indirectly helping TMC and over the course of time, they would certainly join hands.

Assembly elections in West Bengal are scheduled in 2021. TMC is trying to retain the power while BJP is doing all what is needed to pull down Mamata government.

After tasting disaster with his last directorial Adhugo based on a piglet which was in making for over two and half years given its extensive computer graphics, Ravi Babu this time is wrapping up his next at blitzkrieg speed. His next film Aviri is a concept film with thriller elements and the film said to revolve around only 5 characters. Already, the concept poster featuring a girl inside a glass jar did create certain curiosity.

It is learnt that the Anasuya director has silently wrapped up the shoot of Aviri two months ago itself and currently, post-production works are going on at brisk pace. As DI work is underway, Ravi Babu is planning to release the movie with proper planning. He is hoping to come out of his previous disaster.

Besides acting career, Ravi Babu has made films like Avunu, Avunu 2, Nuvvila, Anasuya and et al. Now, with Aviri, Ravi Babu wants to make some profits as his last offing burnt his pockets.

Puri Jagan Want To Do Another Paisa Vasool

Though director Puri Jagan has presented Nandamuri Balakrishna in a new avatar in “Paisa Vasool”, he has failed to come up with a new story. And that resulted in a massive flop show no matter what the director or his producer claimed about that movie.

Reports are coming that actually, Puri wanted to take another shot with Balayya and he is in touch with him regarding a movie. Long back itself, the director revealed that he will make another film with the Nandamuri star, but the failure of Paisa Vasool led them apart. However, now Puri is said to have impressed the actor with a new story.

Though the director is hopeful that after iSmart Shankar that the new film will take off, reportedly Balayya is said to be looking forward to the release of this film. Because he is also not scoring some back to back hits these days and doesn’t want to take any chances.

So, the double SIM film will decided if there will be a repeat of Paisa Vasool combination or not.

Megastar Chiranjeevi has wrapped the complete shooting of Sye Raa from his end and is currently taking rest. He will be working out on a new physique before he joins Koratala Siva’s movie, which is being produced by Ram Charan along with another producer.

Though the names of Nayantara, Tamanna and Anushka are heard in connection with this film, it looks like Koratala Siva is not in a mood to rope none of them as the leading lady. Reportedly he’s said to have asked the producers to consider bringing someone like Aishwarya Rai to do the leading lady opposite Chiru.

Koratala’s idea is to bring someone who could bring enormous freshness as well as hype to the project. And he feels that Chiranjeevi’s heroine should be as special as possible. For now, consultations have started with Aish’s manager and we have to see if Charan will seek AmitabhBachhan’s help to bring her in.

Amitabh has recently acted with Chiranjeevi in Sye Raa and even shared a video message for Ram Charan on the eve of the young hero’s birthday.

Dil Raju- Just A Name Or Really Putting Work?

Right now, ace producer Dil Raju is busy with a horde of films in Telugu as the likes of Mahesh’s Sarileru Neekevvaru, Sharwa-Sam’s 96 remake and Nani-Sudheer’s V are in the production pipeline. And then came news that he’s going to produce three films in Bollywood right away.

While Boney Kapoor got the rights of Dil Raju’s F2, whose Hindi version will be directed by Anees Bazmi, the Telugu producer recently gave Yevadu rights to Nikhil Advani and Milap Zaveri, with the latter directing remake version in Bollywood. And then, Raju has acquired Hindi rights of Jersey movie and sold it to Karan Johar.

Some say that Raju is taking a share in these projects but not actually producing anything in Hindi. His production house will get a credit and his name will be credited as well on the posters, and a % of the profit will be shared from the sales. But some are saying that Raju will be in Mumbai and will be taking part in the execution of the project too. This revelation looks like something unoriginal because it is tough for a south producer to handle things in Mumbai.

If Dil Raju is not just a name on Bollywood posters but really putting his work into the movie making means, surely he will be making pure Hindi films as well one day. And that will make Telugu people proud for sure.

‘Sridevi’s death was not accidental, but a murder’

Ever since legendary actress, Sridevi was found dead last year at Dubai in a sudden and mysterious manner, people have been speculating the possible angles of her death. The different scenarios of being it a suicide, accidental and murder have been swirled around everyone’s mind and some still call it a death mystery in spite of Dubai police confirmed it as an accident.

On February 24th, 2018, the actress was found dead in a hotel room after she accidentally drowned herself in a bathtub. However, yesterday, Kerala Jail DGP Rishiraj Singh claims that the sudden death of the actress was not at all accidental but a murder. The statement gives us goosebumps and it is unfortunate to even imagine it as a murder. The DGP’s words have been printed on Kerala’s Kaumudi newspaper and he told, “My late friend and forensic surgeon Dr Umadathan told me that the incident might have been a murder and he also pointed out various evidence which proves the death was not accidental”.

He further stated that “As per surgeon’s point of view, even if Sridevi drank heavy alcohol, it is highly not possible to drown in one-foot deep water in a bathtub”. Rishiraj expressed his doubt by saying that somebody might have pushed Sridevi from behind. While it is difficult to think another side of the story, Sridevi death is still generating various opinions, reactions and theories. Considering Sridevi’s death as the end of an era, the nature and cause of her death have still curiosity intact among her fans. Hope justice will be rendered soon if it is an unnatural death. Until then, we have to wait for the truth to be spilt out.

One of the talented young heroes, Naga Shourya is still dreaming to score a big hit such that his position will be strong. Though films like Oohalu Gusa Gusalade and Chalo happened for him, somehow they are not helping him to next level.

We do know that Naga Shourya is coming up with Ashwaddhama under the direction of a newcomer already. For this film, the story is written by Naga Shourya himself. And then, he’s starring in the next rom-com of actor Avasarala Srinivas, who has earlier made Oohalu and Jo Atchutananda with him.

We hear that the film got an interesting title, as Avasarala always opts for something crazy and poetic as well. “Falana Abbayi.. Falana Ammayi” is the title of this movie which will feature Naga Shourya in almost seven different avatars. He’s said to be essaying the roles of different ages of the hero in that way.

Interesting titles always create a buzz around the movie and though there is 70% of the film yet to be shot, this title already started creating buzz for the young hero who has just starred in super hit ‘Oh Baby’.

Is The Title Superstar Apt For Samantha Now?

The name is Samantha, which is ringing everyone right now, thanks to the grand success of ‘Oh Baby’ movie, is now demanding more. The ones who are either interviewing Samantha or the ones who are interacting with her are using this ‘tag’ multiple times now.

Though the Akkineni Kodalu is not interested to get called that way, many are now calling her as ‘Superstar Samantha’ with back to back hits falling in her kitty. From her spicy gym looks to her hard work to make a character work on screen, and from the way she promotes films to attends all interviews, many say that she has evolved as a true superstar. Also, the box office figures are supporting her in this aspect.

However, trade pundits opine that Oh Baby is the first film that worked at the box office for Samantha as a solo heroine and if she repeats this feat for 2-3 films more, she should be comfortably called as a Lady superstar. Else, the title won’t get justified.

Akkineni Nagarjuna is now 59 years old and it is not an easy task to pull off all the roles. Here, there is no worry about the physical fitness but the acceptance from the audience for certain roles is the real thing.

If we look at Nag’s contemporaries like Chiranjeevi (63 years), Venkatesh (58) and Balakrishna (58), already Chiranjeevi has given up doing routine commercial movies rather he is picking only larger than life character. And then, Venky is a bit lucky to do well with comedies, while Balayya is also struggling to find a nerve. Like how senior heroes in Bollywood decided their path, it is time for these Telugu heroes as well to find a route.

We hear that the whole of Manmadhudu 2 shoot has come to an end now and Nagarjuna is looking forward to seeing the result of this film on August 9th. If this film scores well, then the actor might take up more matured romantic comedies, else he will be choosing only masala movies, they say.

In Manmadhudu 2, Nag for the first time will be playing a role that is close to his age rather than the young ascetic roles he’s been doing all these days.
