Tamanna Bhatia has a good name and fame in South Indian languages. She has a decent market in Kannada and she is planning to enter Malayalam too. In Hindi, all her films failed, hence, she can’t boost about market there.

Still, her market in Telugu and Tamil is good enough for a film to be made in reasonable budget and marketed. Omkar decided to go with Raju Gari Gadhi-3 with her as the lead.Some budget issues and financial problems lead for Tamanna to walk out from the movie. Nagarjuna did not express any inclination to reprise his role of Rudra from Raju Gari Gadhi-2, too.

Now, with a revised budget plan, Omkar is looking to rope in Avika Gor, it seems. The young actress will make a comeback with the film, as per the new reports.She appeared in films like Uyyala Jampala, Cinema Chupistha Mama and lastly did Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada. Even though she had reasonable success she decided to continue her career in Hindi than in Telugu.

Now, she might return after reducing her weight and do this film to see how her career goes forward. The actress will join the sets of her new film if all the discussions go as expected only it seems.Well, can she fill in the big shoes of Tamanna, market wise and glamour wise? We have to wait and see.

Dil Raju made 2017 his year with Shatamanam Bhavathi, MCA, Duvvada Jagannadam, Raja The Great, Fidaa and Nenu Local.Last year he had a moderate success in Hello Guru Prema Kosame and two flops in Srinivasa Kalyanam and Lover.

This year, F2 became a huge blockbuster and Maharshi earned him profits in Nizam. He is looking for a third hit with Sharwanand and Samantha’s 96 remake.For next year, he is planing some six releases and first one for Sankranthi will be with Mahesh Babu, Sarileru Neekevvaru.

To give him a major competition, Suresh Productions seems to have found a way to keep themselves busy as producers after brief lull.Suresh Babu after few disappointments decided to revamp his production structure and took time to get back into the game.

He decided to go with young filmmakers and help new producers in marketing the film. After Pelli Choopulu, his eye for producers who believe in young talent and who has script knowledge has increased and hence, he made clever investments in them.

Now, when the theatres are available with not many big films releasing for weeks, he managed to release, 4 films in just one month gap.Three of them got good name and even money. Mallesham got rave reviews but did not become a hit. Brochevarevarura is going good and Oh Baby opened big with 16.5 crores gross Worldwide in just 3 days.

Next week, Dorasani is releasing which even though is trolled by youth on social media initially, appears to have gained buzz for a good weekend number deapite talk.

2019 seems to be the year for Suresh Productions and the year where Suresh Babu made everyone look at him once again. This competition will get even more interesting if and when, Geetha Arts 2, start releasing multiple films in a calendar year!

Star heroine Kangana Ranaut is known for pulling anything into controversy and every other time when her film is getting released in theatres, there will be controversies centred around her. And other day, at the launch of a video song from her latest movie ‘Judgemental Hai Kya’, she created a big scene.

Reportedly when a ‘male’ journalist tried to ask something, Kangana slammed him saying that he’s trying to make a smear campaign of her and refused to answer his question. Later when the journalist asked her not to intimidate him, she stated that he ran a hate campaign against Manikarnika movie despite the fact that she treated to him to lunch after he texted her personally and spent three hours in her caravan giving an interview.

This particular journalist actually criticised Kangana for making Manikarnika release in Pakistan, while she criticised Shabana Azmi for attending an event in Pakistan in the aftermath of Uri attack. Cut to present, alarmed by Kangana’s comments, the journalist asked the actress to show some proof about his personal texts. He rubbished her claims adding that he never went to her caravan, either for lunch or three hours of interview, but only interviewed for 30 minutes during Manikarnika promotions.

Unable to answer the journalist back, Kangana stated that it is her prerogative to avoid answering the questions of this particular journalist and she doesn’t want to talk to him any further.

Too Much Trolling Makes Anasuya Block People

Anchor Anasuya is once again in the news for her acts on Twitter. From making an issue of her not-accepting Attarintiki Daredi to giving clarity about hitting a selfie monger’s phone against the ground, she has her share of controversial tweets. And then, here comes the latest one.

While Anasuya landed in the USA for Tana 2019 convention, her pictures from the event and her priceless photograph with cricket legend Kapil Dev have got her more attention. At a time when her fans are enjoying it, Anasuya shared photographs where her two sons are also present in the USA. And that led to a discussion.

Some trollers have asked if Anasuya demanded tickets for her sons too such that she could take them to the USA at TANA’s expenses, some commented that she is spoiling kids by not sending them to school as school’s reopened in Telangana, but taking to filmy events. When this is going on, Anasuya tweeted support to Chinmayi, who stood against the words of director Sandeep Reddy Vanga that slapping a girl is an acceptable thing in love.

Since then trollers questioned her as to how she is hosting a ‘regressive’ show like Jabardasth where the comedians beat their wives in the show. TDP MLA Vamsi looking towards BJP?

The meeting of Telugu Desam Party legislator from Gannavaram Vallabhaneni Vamsi with senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader from Telangana and Union minister of state for home G Kishan Reddy in Vijayawada raised many eyebrows.

Vamsi attended a function of Swarna Bharati Trust (promoted by Vice President of India M Venkaiah Naidu) on Sunday, in which Kishan Reddy attended as the chief guest.

The TDP MLA was found hobnobbing with Kishan Reddy as well as former minister Pydikondala Manikyala Rao.

Apparently, Vamsi also had a private conversation with Kishan Reddy at a one-on-one meeting after the function, leading to speculations as to whether he would be shifting his loyalties to the BJP.

As of now, there is no official confirmation about this private meeting.

But, the meeting assumed significance in the wake of the statement from BJP Andhra Pradesh incharge Sunil Deodhar that as many as 18 MLAs from TDP were in touch with the saffron party and they might join the BJP sooner or later.

May be, the meeting of Vamsi with Kishan Reddy is part of this strategy.

The TDP MLA has been acting rather strangely, just like Vijayawada MP Kesineni Nani, after the elections, making controversial comments.

Vamsi, who managed to retain his seat with a slender margin of 838 votes in the recent elections, is said to be unhappy with the TDP leadership and is looking for alternative options.

Vijay Deverakonda comes across as a brash and rebel youngster not just because of the characters he play but also because of his speeches in public events.

But there is an emotional side to him, which was seen in the pre release event of Dorasani.

Vijay’s younger brother Anand is making debut as an actor and Vijay attended the pre release event as the Chief Guest.

On this occasion Vijay recalled his brother helping him and their family during his struggling days as an actor.

Anand who was working in US at that time had helped Vijay and his parents financially.

Vijay was almost in tears while sharing about this in the pre release event. He was overcome with emotions while talking about not promoting his brother’s first attempt as an actor.

“I wanted him to get trolled and learn how hard it is survive here. I didn’t share any teasers or songs of Dorasani for the same reason. In fact I didn’t want him to leave US and enter film industry. But he has the knack of following me,” Vijay said.

“Anand has surprised me with his performance and Shivatmika Rajasekhar will become a great actress. Director KV Mahendra has done a great job and I would look forward to work with him in the future,” he added.

Yet another Telugu TV channel up for sale?

The Telugu television industry is undergoing severe crisis at present. Especially, the news channels have been going through a turbulent period, due to domination of politicians in the management.

Only those channels which have sound political backing, especially from the ruling party, are able to sustain to some extent, while even those having direct or indirect affiliation to opposition parties are running in huge losses.

So, one channel after the other is getting wound up due to mounting losses.

We have seen channels like Studio N, Express TV, Vissa TV etc. getting closed. And others like Maha TV, 99 TV, CVR News etc which changed hands are not in a position to pay their salaries to the staff properly.

Even HMTV is incurring losses, but is able to pay salaries to the staff with great difficulty.

As of now, only big channels like TV9, NTV, TV5, Sakshi TV and ETV are able to make some profits and employees in these channels are safe.

According to latest reports, yet another television channel Raj News is up for sale.

Originally belonging to a Tamil television network, former MP and present MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy had acquired major share in it a couple of years ago and had been running it.

But now, with the Congress failing to come to power in Telangana and Komatireddy’s political career being in doldrums, he opted out of the channel and gave it back to the original promoters. They are now looking for a new investor.

Sources said a senior BJP leader is expected to take over the Raj News channel soon.

It is learnt popular news presenter Venkata Krishna, who was till recently with an Andhra-based AP 24X7 channel, is likely to be the new CEO of Raj News.

YSR Birth Anniversary: Sakshi Paper Filled With Ads

Commemorating former chief minister late YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s 70th birth anniversary today, 8 July 2019, AP state government has splurged on the advertisements in news papers. Lavishly celebrating his YSR’s birth anniversary, AP state government went all out in bombarding publicity for the grand do. The state government has declared 8 July as the Farmer’s Day. And Jagan has made his first ever visit to YSR Kadapa district today after he sworn-in as the CM and he has taken part of his father’s birth anniversary celebrations. On the eve, a spree of advertisements have been splashed in Sakshi newspaper and other prominent newspapers.

It is learnt that the state government has spent a bomb on the ads and particularly, Sakshi paper was thoroughly filled with the ads of late YSR and YS Jagan.

4 pages of advertisement in Sakshi paper on the eve of YSR’s birth anniversary has come as a big surprise. This is not all. The advertisement was not just confined to Andhra Pradesh, but the two-page advertisements were also carried in Greater Hyderabad as well as Telangana editions.

While Jagan had opposed the splurge on advertisements by government when he was Opposition leader, the same move by him to spend huge public money on the advertisements in newspapers are inviting criticism. Jagan’s critics are finding fault with his government’s decision to spend so much on Ads on YSR’s birth anniversary that too with his own newspaper. His detractors asking him to practice what he preach.

Telangana HC stays demolition of Secretariat & Assembly

The Telangana government received a rude shock from the Telangana High Court. On the controversial decision to demolish the old Assembly and secretariat, nearly six petitions were filed including that of Malkajgiri MP Revanth Reddy’s. This case came to hearing on Monday and the court has asked the Telangana government to file counters.

For this the advocate sought 15 days time and considering this the court said it would give time and until then the demolishing works should be stopped. Stunned by the court’s ruling, the Telangana government has filed a counter petition in just few hours time.

While this is happening at one end, one more social activists has filed a PIL. The petitioner claimed that Erramanzil building is a heritage property and it can’t be demolished as the history will get rubbed off. This petition has been postponed by two weeks.

Karnataka crisis: 21 ministers resign for rebels

Interesting developments are being witnessed every hour in Karnataka politics. The rebels who are refusing to back down from their resignation are holding talks with Congress high command. Former Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah has also got to the ground to end this crisis situation in the state.

In order to convince the rebel MLAs, the Congress high command has decided to make the current ministers resign from their post and offer ministries to the rebels. We hear that 21 ministers have resigned and Siddaramaiah tweeted that the same and also requested them to save the coalition government from collapsing. Siddaramaiah threw the blame on BJP for instigating rebels against the government. Congress MPs on Monday raised slogans against BJP in Lok Sabha.

JD(S) ministers are reportedly in dual thoughts over stepping down. Karnataka transport minister Thammanna said his party did not suggest anything so far but if asks so, he is ready to quit. Amidst these happenings, Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy has called for a cabinet meeting on Monday evening. In this very meeting a major decision is likely to be taken. Some time back Kumaraswamy informed the media that the issue will be solved soon and the government will resume its work smoothly.
