And generally, fans chose their favorite contestant based on the contestant’s affiliation to a certain hero or party too.

Here comes Dubsmash fame Jr Samantha, whose actually name is Ashu Reddy. This girl from Vizag is known for standing against Sri Reddy during the infamous episode where Sri Reddy bad-mouthed Pawan Kalyan. Giving a perfect counter to those people like Sri Reddy who made bad allegations on Pawan, Ashu created a storm on social media.

Later when Mahesh Kathi made some allegations on Pawan, linking him to Poonam Kaur, Ashu tweeted a pic of her tattoo on the chest, saying, “So I have Pawan Kalyan tattoo, which means I have an affair with him? Answer! #KathiLeaks”.

“I’m a very big devotee of Pawan Kalyan, not fan. I’ve even got suspended from school during the eighth standard after slapping a girl who made a mockery of Pawan Kalyan. Looking at the bad propaganda against him, I got the tattoo inked now” said Ashu Reddy back then.

Kanna fires at Jagan for denying Kapu quota!

Bharatiya Janata Party in Andhra Pradesh is up in arms against YSR Congress party government headed by Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy for withdrawing five per cent quota for Kapus in education and employment under Economically Weaker Sections quota.

BJP state president Kanna Lakshminarayana dashed off a letter to Jagan for his stubborn stand against Kapu reservations.

He wondered why the government left out the Kapu community while implementing the EWS quota of 10% in the state. The provision for 5% reservation for Kapus in the EWS quota was issued by the previous TDP government.

“I am compelled to state that your government has opened an unwarranted controversy by not continuing the resolution made by earlier Andhra Pradesh Assembly and the stand taken by the earlier government. Instead, the present government under your auspices has taken a controversial decision by depriving Kapus of their 5% reservation,” Kanna said in the letter.

The BJP president found fault with Jagan for saying that former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu had not replied to a letter by the Centre dated April 4, 2019.

“His argument did not hold good as the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) had come into place, which may have made it difficult for the state government to reply,” he said.

“As is known to all, several committees and commissions including the Manjunatha Committee have identified Kapus as an economically backward group. Moreover, the Kapu community and all political parties in the state have been in consensus in terms of their public expressions and manifestos that Kapus needed to be considered for reservations. It has been a long-felt need and demand,” the BJP leader added.

Jagan shunts out Polavaram contractor!

As expected, YSR Congress party government headed by chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has shunted out the main contractor of prestigious Polavaram major irrigation project from execution of the ongoing works and decided to call for fresh tenders.

The Jagan government on Thursday served a termination notice on Navayuga Engineering Company Limited (NECL) for pre-closure of the Polavaram project work. It asked the company to give consent and settle the accounts within 15 days.

Navayuga was hired by the Chandrababu Naidu government on nomination basis to complete the Polavaram project, as the original EPC contractor Transstroy Limited belonging to former MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao had miserably failed to execute the project.

The ongoing works included: spillway and spill channel of the project worth Rs 1,244.35 crore, additional works including foundations for hydel power plant costing Rs 918.76 crore and balance works of main dam package including coffer dams, earth-cum-rock-fill dam gap-1, approach channel etc., costing Rs 751.55 crore.

The notice pointed out that the expert committee felt that the deletion of works from original EPC contractor and entrusting the balance works on nomination basis to Navayuga Engineering was inappropriate.

The committee also rapped Naidu government for relaxing agreement clauses to favour Navayuga.

No Mega Heroes In Allu Arvind’s 1500 Cr Film?

A couple of weeks ago, Allu Aravind has announced that he will be producing 1500 crores budgeted Ramayana which will have a couple of Bollywood producers as partners. And the film will be directed by Dangal fame Nitish Tiwari and another director, who are already said to be working on the script.

Recent talk is that none of the mega heroes might get a chance to play leads in this movie. Many thought that Ram Charan is most likely to play Lord Rama in the movie and Allu Arjun will play another prominent role. But then, director Nitish Tiwari is said to have come up with the suggestion that Hrithik Roshan will aptly fit the role but no one else.

And then, we may not expect Mega heroes taking up the roles of Lord Hanuman and villain Ravana for sure. Other than these three roles, there will be no major characters in Ramayana for star heroes, as these three will be seen throughout the epic. And those other characters need only a guest appearance.

So we have to see if any mega hero will get part of this mega project by playing guest roles or if they will turn a Hanuma or Ravana in case if Hrithik turns Rama!

#BiggBoss Opening Episode: Nag Beats NTR & Nani

While some of the audiences liked the performance of Jr NTR as a host, many got connected to Nani for his natural work. And when Nagarjuna took the reigns as a host, there is criticism that he’s not doing well. But the TRPs actually suggest otherwise, as that is the only parameter to measure a show’s success.

The very first opening episode of Bigg Boss, the first season’s launch episode, has created a record of sorts as the Jr NTR hosted episode garnered 16.18 TRP. That made fans of the actor quite excited as they unanimously believed that only Tarak’s craze made the program such a success.

Later when Nani took over the hosting for the second season, the launch episode got only 15.05 TRP, thereby giving Jr NTR an edge. But now that Nagarjuna has come up, many are looking forward to seeing how the TRPs are going to be like. And here comes the shocker.

Nagarjuna’s debut episode as a host not jut garnered supreme interesting but fetched a record-breaking TRP too. Because the opening (launch) episode fetched 17.9 TRP according to TV rating website. That way, Nag has beaten both Tarak and Nani. Dot.

Minister Talasani Srinivas son Sai Kiran Yadav is in news for wrong reasons. Talasani Sai, who had earlier contested on TRS ticket in Lok Sabha elections in Secunderabad Parliament constituency and lost to Union Minister of State Kishan Reddy, has now become fodder to trolls.

In a YouTube interview, Talasani Sai opined that River Godavari flows from AP to Telangana. He opined that AP is above Telangana and the river flows from AP to Telangana. While he tries to correct his comments, he admitted that he has no knowledge on River Godavari and from where it flows into Telangana. In reailty, Godavari flows from Maharashtra to Telangana to Andhra Pradesh.

Yet, the damage has been done. Netizens found fault with Sai Kiran for his poor knowledge about state topography and asked him to improve his idea of things as he is into public life now. Guess what, the very same interviewer has earlier stumped out Vijayawada’s the then MLA Jaleel Khan with ‘B Com lo physics’ moment.

On the other side, few people opine that this interviewer is actually confusing politicians with his tricky questions such that he will get a viral video out of it.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday made a sudden visit to Pragathi Bhavan in Hyderabad to meet Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.This sudden and unscheduled visit created flutters in political circles.

However, TRS party sources said it was only a ‘courtesy call’ and no political or administrative significance should be attached to it.Source said Jagan also made a visit to Raj Bhavan prior to that and met Telangana governor ESL Narasimhan.

Sources said Jagan wanted to meet both the leaders to take their blessings ahead of his pilgrimage to Jerusalem and US trips.Jagan wanted to visit both the leaders as he came to Hyderabad after few weeks before leaving for foreign tours.

This is the seventh meeting between Jagan and KCR after Jagan became CM two months ago. Normally, CMs meetings are scheduled well in advance.But the ‘bonhomie’ between Jagan and KCR has reached such a level that both can meet anytime without any prior notice.

After a brief hiatus from politics, Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan is back with a scathing attack on AP CM YS Jagan. Amidst the Jagan-led government’s decision to take over the liquor retail and sell alcohol across the state, Pawan said that Jagan can’t implement total liquor prohibition in the state.

Pawan said that Jagan had given a promise which he could never keep. “Jagan can’t implement total liquor prohibition even phase wise. It will lead to many problems. The government should not sell liquor in the areas where women are vehemently against it. Total liquor prohibition is possible only when the people want it to happen,” Pawan said.

Pawan also criticised Jagan’s proximity to Telangana CM KCR. “I won’t put my people’s self-respect in front of a man who abused Andhra people,” Pawan said. Taking a direct potshot at Jagan’s antics during his Parayatras, Pawan said, “I also can’t kiss and caress people.”

Interestingly, Pawan had said during Jagan’s swearing-in ceremony that he will give 100 days time to make any comment on Jagan’s rule. Pawan’s yesterday’s attack on Jagan came exactly a day after Jagan’s government completed its 100 day journey in the state.

This one is a rare family moment. The viral photograph shows former AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu and his wife Bhuvaneshwari having lunch together at a restaurant in the US. The photograph was clicked by an anonymous person during Chandrababu’s ongoing tour in the US.

Chandrababu and Bhuvaneshwari left for the US for a 3-day mini-tour on the 28th of July. Apparently, the couple went to the US for a health check-up. They will be returning to Amaravati on the 1st of August. Chandrababu has been working tirelessly for the last few years and that left him with not much family time. His fans are thrilled to see him finally taking a much-needed break and spending time with his wife.
