How Telugu Remakes Are Rescuing Bollywood Stars!
Though Bollywood folks feel too egoistic to admit it, the reality is coming out very slowly. Despite the fact that they have very good content in their hands, whenever their happening stars are in a problem, it’s south content that is resuing them. Both Telugu and Tamil films are saving their faces.
Only after Aamir Khan remade Tamil-Telugu movie ‘Ghajini’, upon the suggestion of Allu Arvind (Geetha Arts produced Hindi version too), the first ever 100 crore club got opened in Bollywood. Till that film, 100 crores club remained a distant grape for them.
After struggling with flops for more than 3 years and finding it tough to cope up with the then rising competition, Salman is on the verge of losing stardom untile Pokiri saved him. He remade that movie as Wanted in Hindi, and that marked his new era in Bollywood. Years later, even Ajay Devgan realised that his routine comedies are not working and hence picked Surya’s Yamudu remake as Singham to put his career back on track. Even Akshay Kumar picked a couple of films like Vikramarkudu and Tagore to satisfy his mass fans, and currently doing Muni remake.
And now, despite the fact that Shahid Kapoor is a proven star, he never made it into the crore club alone. But Kabir Singh redefined his career, as the film is now posing to enter 200 crores club quite easily.
All said and done, south remakes have surely helped these stars revive their careers.
Mixed reactions on Praja Vedika demolition

The demolition works of Praja Vedika at Karakatta are almost done and there is a huge debate about on this in the political circles as well as among the public. However, it’s a mixed reaction. The TDP sources say Jagan government is deliberately doing this and in fact they are damaging government assets with government money which is unacceptable.
But the ruling party is defending its stand. YSRCP leaders say that this shows Jagan has zero tolerance on illegal constructions and corruption. ”Praja Vedika is an illegal construction and there is no question of entertaining illegal activities in the state,” said Mangalagiri MLA RK who reached the location this morning. The government will continue to identify all the illegal properties on the banks of Krishna river and in phase wise, they will be brought down, he added.
Meanwhile there is a discussion on Chandrababu’s residence too which is close to Praja Vedika. At 11 AM, Chandrababu has met party senior leaders and discussed about government’s action. Few leaders opined that the issue of Chandrababu’s residence is under court’s trails and so the YSRCP government may not dare to go for demolition. YSRCP government is thinking that only after the final verdict by the court, it will take a call.

Anchor Lasya, who has got married a year ago, is in the news from last one week as she spoke about her Big Boss 3 entry. It’s almost confirmed that she’s getting into the house that will be monitored by Nagarjuna Akkineni every week. But it looks like the anchor has decided to not take up the offer.
Apparently, she has other day revealed that there is no truth in the reports that she is charging 30 lakhs and entering Big Boss house. She clarified that as she has two months old baby, she cannot join Big Boss, but will be considering the offer at a later point of time.

All Set For A Repeat of ‘Manam’

Akkineni Nagarjuna either picks himself a good film or he’s busy setting up films for his sons. Already he has set up Bangarraju where he will be working with Naga Chaitanya, and now he got another plan ready.
Director Vikram K Kumar of “Manam” fame is currently making “Gang Leader” with Nani, and he has recently narrated a story to Nagarjuna we hear. As the film needs three different leads, Nagarjuna is said to have suggested him to alter some scenes such that it will help all the three Akkineni heroes, Nag, Chay and Akhil, to star in it.
Reports are coming that even Vikram got excited about this ‘Manam’ combination and he’s said to be looking forward to wrapping Gang Leader such that he will be focusing more on Manam 2, if we could say.
Vikram is the only director who has directed this father and sons, as he made Manam with all of them and Hello with Akhil. Let’s see if they would add Samantha as well to the team as she’s also that major part of Manam!!
Young Directors And Balayya- Will It Work Now?

In some recent interactions, young director Prashant Varma of Aah! and Kalki fame has revealed that he is working on a story for Nandamuri Balakrishna. As the young director has said this, one wonders if Balayya will for the first time work with such a young director.
Actually, after the super success of movies like Pataas and Supreme, director Anil Ravipudi actually wanted to work with Balayya and has prepared ‘Ramarao Garu’ script. But nothing worked in the favour of that film and finally, they have shelved it and the two moved to other movies.
Now that Prashant Varma is working on a script for Balayya, we hear that producer C Kalyan who is now producing Balayya’s latest movie with KS Ravikumar, is actually making sure that the project will take off. If Prashanth could deliver a hit like a Krish with Balayya, then surely things will work out big time for him in Tollywood.
In the meantime, we have to see how Rajsekhar’s Kalki, carved by this young director, will fare at the box office.
Superstar Afraid Of Lion!

It’s like a massive storm hitting Indian theatres, ahead of Superstar Rajinikanth’s film release. Infact, the star hero enjoys similar craze in some other parts of the world as well. But, the China distributor of his previous film ‘2.0’ has backed off fearing the release of Disney’s Hollywood outing ‘Lion King’.
HY Media, distributor of 2.0 in China, decided to cancel the release of movie which’s scheduled to open on July 12th. Though ‘Lion King’ is striding on 19th July in rest of the countries, it is coming a week earlier in China – 12th July. Considering that Lion King could make a huge dent to Superstar Rajinikanth’s movie at box-office, the distributor wanted to avoid a clash with it and so, decided to call off the release for now.
Fans of the hero, who hoping to catch the movie in China and those who’re waiting for box-office numbers of 2.0 in neighbouring nation, were in for a disappointment when they learnt about the cancellation. HY Media’s previous buy, Padman, which left them in huge losses might have forced the distributor to take this call.
