My mother lost her land for Kaleshwaram: KTR
TRS working president KT Rama Rao said even his parents lost their land for the construction of Kaleshwaram project. KTR on Monday inspected the ninth package of the project and Malakpet reservoir works in Rajanna Siricilla district.
After the inspection, KTR spoke to the media and said, my mother owes a piece of land but she lost it under the mid-Maneru works. The TRS government will do complete justice for people who have donated their land for the construction of Kaleshwaram. With this project, 45 lakh acres will get water for agriculture. CM KCR’s dream to provide water for one crore acres will come true in few more days.
Also KTR said two lakh acres in Siricilla district will get water for farming very soon and hereafter farmers need not worry about water and electricity. Complimenting the engineers behind the project, the major credit should go to them for working tireless.
KTR’s son Himanshu also accompanied his father in the visit and had a look at the Kaleshwaram project. The media tried to reach him for a comment but he did not.
After KCR, Jagan Bans ‘Pekata Clubs’ In AP
Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan has sent clear directives to all the district collectors in the conference held on Monday. Addressing the conference, Jagan said the corruption in the state is too high and it should not be seen in another few days. This is not a difficult task and all the officials should work efficiently to eradicate corruption.
On that note, Jagan also ordered for shut down of all card clubs (Pekata). “Irrespective of the political background of a leader and pressure, take daring decisions. People should not go to the circumstances that they should bribe the officials to get their job done or roam around government offices for days and months for permission. Take a call, if there is a genuine issue and look into it and solve at the earliest. But if it is something not appropriate, then fix it and don’t hesitate,” said Jagan.
‘Say no to illegal activities, say no to sand mafia, say no to looting and just shut down all the card clubs that are indulging in gambling,” added Jagan and further said for collectors that we are here to provide better governance for people and we are not rulers, we are at their service.
Big Stars Not Interested In this Talented Girl?
If we take the case of any young heroine who just made their mark with a blockbuster movie, they will become a super starlet if they star in a big hero’s film immediately. That’s what happened with the likes of Kajal and Samantha earlier.
Cut to now, many are discussing talented and beautiful actress Keerthy Suresh who has scored her first big hit with Mahanati last year. After the success of that film, many expected that she will team up with big heroes like Mahesh, Ram Charan, Jr NTR, Allu Arjun and Prabhas but nothing such has happened yet.
After agreeing to star in another female-centric film, she is doing a cameo in Nagarjuna’s Manmadhudu 2 and then going to romance to young heroes, Naga Chaitanya and Nithin. She will be seen in Chay-Nag’s Bangarraju and Nithin’s Rang De as well.
Many wonder how come Keerthy is not going big heroes way such that she will become that big star heroine like a Kiara Advani or Pooja Hegde.
TTD Board Member Not For Sale!
It is an open secret that the post of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams trust board member is a very prestigious and is in high demand.
Reason: it would get an opportunity for a member to get into the proximity of Lord Venkateshwara whenever he wants and at the same, it gives powers to him or her to have control over the huge wealth of the Tirumala temple.
Moreover, becoming a TTD trust board member is also a very prestigious for anybody, mostly politicians. There is a huge demand for the post even from industrialists.
After the new government of YSR Congress party took over last month, there has been intense lobbying for these posts.
Though Jagan has appointed his uncle Y V Subba Reddy as the TTD trust board chairman, he has not made up his mind on the appointment of other board members.
This has led to some people spreading rumours for the last few days the TTD trust board member posts are up for sale.
According to these rumours, each TTD board member post was being sold for Rs 4 crore. Ironically, such rumours are emanating from YSRC sources themselves.
However, enquiries revealed that there is absolutely no truth in these reports. In fact, Jagan has not asked any of his party leaders, including the newly-appointed TTD chairman, to suggest names for the TTD member posts.
Instead, he has kept the cards close to his chest and has not disclosed any names so far.
“He is selecting right people for the TTD member posts. It is purely his decision and he is not involving anybody else in the selection. So, there is no question of offering the posts for a price,” a YSRC leader close to the chief minister said.

Dil Raju and Anil Sunkara will share the profits earned through theatrical business. Mahesh won’t be charging any extra remuneration besides non-theatrical rights.
Given the phenomenal track record of director Anil Ravipudi and the TRP’s they draw, many channels vied for the satellite rights of Sarileru Neekevvaru.
Gemini TV bagged the satellite rights of the film that is slated for Sankranthi 2020 release.
Mahesh will be seen as an army major in this family entertainer loaded with action and comedy.
Rashmika Mandanna is playing the female lead and DSP is scoring music.
Naidu’s House Ready For Demolition?
As expected, Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu will be shunted out of his present residence at Vundavalli in Amaravati sooner or later.
A clear indication to this effect was given by YSR Congress party president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday.
Jagan, who made an inaugural address at the Collectors’ Conference held at “Praja Vedika” conference hall, constructed right adjacent to Naidu’s residence, declared the building as illegal.
Showing a report prepared by AP Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA), Jagan said Praja Vedika building was built unauthorisedly by the previous TDP government violating the river water zone regulation norms.
“We have assembled here in a building which was built against the rules, laws and with corruption. It was built against the suggestions of Lok Ayukta. I have deliberately called for a meeting here only to tell you that the building is illegal and show what we should not do as rulers,” Jagan said.
Stating that the government would take action if anybody violates laws, Jagan wondered how a government itself had violated all the rules in the construction of Praja Vedika.
The chief minister ordered that it would be demolished soon.
“Tomorrow, I will be holding the meeting with IPS officers in the same hall. And that will be the last meeting here. From Wednesday, the demolition of this building will begin,” he announced.
Jagan also hinted at the demolition of Naidu’s residence.
“We will demolish all such illegal constructions on the banks of Krishna river. The demolitions will begin with Praja Vedika and it will be followed by other such illegal buildings,” he said.
Rude Jolt To TDP In West Godavari!
Telugu Desam Party, which had won just two assembly seats out of 15 seats West Godavari district in the recent assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh, is all set to receive yet another rude shock.
Senior TDP leader and former MLA from Eluru assembly constituency Ambika Krishna has decided to resign from the party.
On Monday, he left for New Delhi to join the Bharatiya Janata Party in the presence of BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav.
Along with Ambika Krishna, his brother Ambika Raja will also quit the TDP and join the BJP, sources close to him said.
Ambika Krishna, who was till recently a prominent leader in the West Godavari district, served as chairman of AP State Film Development Corporation.
Following the defeat of the TDP in the recent elections, Krishna voluntarily resigned from the post.
Known to be a close associate of TDP president and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Ambika Krishna emerged as a powerful leader in the district.
He recently shot into headlines for making unsavoury comments against former minister Peetala Sujatha, but later apologised to her.
Ambika Krishna, whose Ambika Darbar Agarbatthis have become famous all over the country, is also a film producer.
He produced films like Veerabhadra, Kanyadanam and Adanthe Ado Typu.
Vangaveeti To Join A Defunct Party?
Former MLA from Vijayawada and prominent Kapu leader Vangaveeti Radhakrishna must be cursing his own fate for resigning from the YSR Congress party in January this year.
Though YSRC president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy had promised to take care of his interests and requested him to move to Machilipatnam for contesting the Lok Sabha elections, Vangaveeti got hurt and resigned from the party.
He approached the Telugu Desam Party for a ticket from Vijayawada (Central), but Naidu did not give him any such promise.
He, however, promised that Vangaveeti would be given the MLC ticket. In the assembly elections, Vangaveeti remained passive.
Now that the TDP lost the assembly elections miserably, Vangaveeti has realized that his future is very bleak if he continued in the TDP. So, he started looking for alternative options.
On Monday, Vangaveeti met Jana Sena Party president and actor Pawan Kalyan in Vijayawada and has expressed interest in joining the party.
Apparently, he felt that in the given circumstances, he has to have some political baggage. Since he cannot go back to the YSRC, he has chosen Jana Sena for his political survival.
But, the situation of Jana Sena is much worse than the TDP. The party fared miserably in the recent elections and Pawan Kalyan himself lost in two seats.
Many leaders of the party are also deserting it one after the other and there is virtually no activity for the party.
Under these circumstances, one wonders what Vangaveeti will do in Jana Sena. May be he thought he could activate the party and strengthen it by next elections.
