Kodela family in deep soup with police cases!
Senior Telugu Desam Party leader and former assembly speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao and his family members have landed in deep soup with the police registering a number of cases against them.
For the last couple of weeks, there have been several complaints with the police from the people in Narsaraopet against Kodela and his family members accusing them of indulging in extortions and land grabbing in the town and surroundings.
Though the police did not take the complaints seriously initially as the victims could not provide proper evidences to substantiate their complaints, they started digging into the cases with the number of allegations started going up.
Moreover, the local YSR Congress party leaders also started gathering evidences against Kodela family members.
Most of the complaints of extortion and land grabbing were mainly on Kodela’s son Sivaram and daughter Poonati Vijayalakshmi.
On Wednesday, there was yet another complaint from one Dr Kalyan Chakravarthy of Meghana Hospitals at Sattenapalli police station. It was about a cheating against Kodela’s daughter Vijayalakshmi.
Apparently, Vijayalakshmi had promised to secure permission to Meghana Hospitals for taking up Arogya Sri cases. For that, she had collected Rs 4 lakh from Dr Kalyan. However, he could not get the permission.
With this, the police filed a cheating case against Vijayalakshmi along with her followers.
Amitabh delivers 14-minute take in one shot
Mumbai: There are reasons why Amitabh Bachchan is called Bollywood’s Big B. The megastar, 76, delivered a 14-minute long take in one shot for “Chehre”, leaving the crew in awe of his talent.
The film’s producer Anand Pandit lauded his friend Amitabh for it.
“I believe I am blessed to be a part of a film that has this historic scene. Giving a fourteen minute shot is not only difficult but requires dedication of a different kind. And add to it the way Amitji delivered it with finesse. There was pin drop silence on the sets followed by thunderous applause. He is legendary and an inspiration for each one of us,” Pandit said in a statement.
“Chehre” is a mystery thriller with Amitabh and Emraan Hashmi in lead roles. The film is directed by Rumi Jaffrey and produced by Anand Pandit Motion Pictures and Saraswati Entertainment Private Limited.
Big B’s feat for the film was also praised by sound artiste Resul Pookutty.
On June 16, he had tweeted: “Today Amitabh Bachchan marked another history in Indian cinema. Last day, last shot of first schedule of ‘Chehre’… he performed a fourteen minute long submission in one shot and the whole crew stood up and clapped! Dear Sir, undoubtedly you are one of the best in the world.”
To that, Big B said: “Resul .. you give me far too much credit than I deserve or am capable of.”
Jagan’s fan base increasing in Telangana!

After becoming Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh last month, YS Jaganmohan Reddy has been earning more and more fans in Telangana.
The pro-people and pro-employee decisions being taken by Jagan in a swift manner has been earning him fans in Telangana.
The latest to join the list of Jagan’s fan base in Telangana is Telangana police.
Jagan on Tuesday announced to grant weekly-off to police staff right from constable-level to inspector-level in AP.
He got this new rule implemented within a day from today. This has been the long pending demand of police staff and their families.
Jagan fulfilled their demand within a month of coming to power.
Jagan’s decision made nearly 70,000 police staff and their family members happier who could now spend time with their family members a day in a week.
Telangana CM promised to give weekly off to police staff in his first speech after taking oath as CM on June 2, 2014.
Even after five years, KCR failed to fulfil his promise. Telangana police now say KCR should learn from Jagan.
Jagan already earned the praises of Telangana employees unions after he announced 27 per cent Interim Relief for staff and approving merger of APSRTC with state government.
Telangana employees have been making both these demands for the past few years which KCR failed to fulfil even after making repeated promises.
Even in the cabinet meeting held yesterday, KCR did not take any decisions on these issues and just tried to delay further by setting up committees to study and make recommendations on these demands.
This made Telangana employees angry who are asking KCR to learn from Jagan over how to be sincere and committed in fulfiling promises.
Rs. 100 Crore Target For The Mighty Saaho!
The blockbuster success of Baahubali across the nation is fetching handsome deals for Prabhas’s upcoming film Saaho everywhere.
The film’s overseas rights were sold for a whopping Rs. 42 crore. It is the biggest overseas deal for a regional film after Baahubali 2. Hindi distribution rights were sold to T Series Films for Rs. 50 Crore.
Which means the film will have to collect Rs. 100 Crore Nett in Hindi to be a safe venture for the distributors.
With so many Bollywood actors including the female lead Shraddha Das, the film has larger appeal to North Indian audience compared to Baahubali. Also the concept of Saaho has universal appeal that has no language barriers.
Baahubali 1 collected around Rs. 120 crore nett in Hindi and Baahubali 2 shattered all Bollywood box office records by becoming the only film to collect Rs. 500 Cr Nett in India.
T Series is expecting Saaho to collect around Rs. 200 Crore if its lives up to expectations. UV Creations didn’t sell of the Hindi rights for outright price though. They will get a fair share in profits made by T Series.
Given the craze for Saaho’s Hindi teaser, the film is sure to take the box office by storm like Baahubali movies.
Can it seal the deal for Prabhas as pan India star?
Naidu gets smaller chamber in assembly!
Telugu Desam Party leaders in Andhra Pradesh, who have been crying foul over the alleged ill-treatment being meted out to party president and leader of opposition N Chandrababu Naidu, have got yet another reason to substantiate their charges.
The Andhra Pradesh government headed by YSR Congress party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy allocated a relatively smaller chamber to Naidu in the state assembly.
During the regime of Naidu as the chief minister, this chamber was allotted to then deputy speaker Mandali Buddha Prasad.
Interestingly, the chamber which was allotted to Jagan Mohan Reddy when he was the leader of the opposition, which is relatively bigger, has now been allotted to present deputy speaker Kona Raghupathi.
The TDP leaders are arguing that the allocation of small chambers to Naidu was nothing but a deliberate attempt to insult him. They wondered why Naidu was not allotted the same chamber which was occupied by Jagan when the latter was the leader of the opposition.
However, the YSRC has its own reasoning. When Jagan was the opposition leader, his party had a strength of 67 MLAs and hence, Jagan needed a bigger chamber so as to meet such a large number of MLAs.
“This time, the TDP has only 23 MLAs. So, even if all of them want to meet Naidu at a time, they don’t require a huge chamber for the party president,” a YSRC leader said.
They reminded that during the 2009 elections, the chamber allocated to Praja Rajyam Party chief Chiranjeevi in the assembly was also very small, though his party had 18 MLAs.
Where is Harish Rao these days?
The Telangana Rashtra Samithi government headed by K Chandrasekhar Rao is making massive arrangements for the inauguration of world’s largest multi-stage lift irrigation scheme Kaleshwaram on June 21.
Every senior TRS leader is being involved in the mega function – KCR’s son K T Rama Rao will be looking after the arrangements to receive VVIPs, health minister Eetala Rajender made in-charge of the function and another minister Prashant Reddy will handle the photo-exhibition.
Local MLAs, MLCs and MPs would anyway be involved in one or other activities.
But one person who will be conspicuous by his absence will be former irrigation minister and Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao, who gave his sweat and blood for the project.
Everybody was surprised when KCR told the media on Tuesday that he had toiled day and night for the project and had spent sleepless nights for the same.
“The fact is that it was not KCR but his nephew Harish Rao who had struggled day and night to complete the project and spent sleepless nights for several months. Yet, he is not even being invited for the inauguration function,” a TRS leader said.
Inquiries revealed that the TRS leadership has asked Harish Rao to confine himself to Siddipet and or go to his house in Hyderabad, but not to be seen anywhere near Kaleshwaram.
“This is nothing but a major humiliation for a senior leader like Harish Rao,” the TRS leader said.
State BJP president K Laxman said Harish Rao was nowhere to be seen in the entire Kaleshwaram mega celebrations.
“The chief minister says the Centre had done nothing for the project. Let Harish Rao come out and speak the same. He would tell why he had to go round Modi and the Central ministers for Kaleshwaram,” Laxman said.
iSmart Title Song: Too Loud… Too Noisy!
iSmart Shankar’s title song is in tune with the loudness of its lead character and its promos. Mani Sharma has definitely not in form and here is another song to prove it.
iSmart Shankar’s title song has some nice beats and rhythms, but it is not catchy at all.
Even Bhaskarabatla’s lyrics are pretty basic. Someone who has good command over Hyderabadi lingo would have done justice to the song.
The song may sound better after repeated listening, but the problem is not many would like to play it again, in fact most of them would find it tough to play the entire song for the first time.
All in all, it is another noisy number from iSmart Shankar which is proving to be a mediocre album from the ace music composer. These tunes will heavily rely upon the visuals.
So it is up to Puri Jagannadh’s presentation and Ram’s dance moves.
