TV9 logo will remain with RP?

Here is yet another interesting news, or gossip, with regard to former chief executive officer of popular Telugu television news channel TV9 V Ravi Prakash.

According to these reports, investigating agencies probing the alleged cheating and conspiracy by Ravi Prakash, as alleged by the new management of the channel Alanda Media and Entertainment Private Limited, have found that all the rights on the trademark design and logo of TV9 are vested with Ravi Prakash and not the management.

Reports said documents revealed that it was Ravi Prakash who was the rightful owner of the logo and design of TV9 under the Copy Right Act and that he had given the logo to the previous management only on lease for a certain period which is being renewed periodically.

“So, the channel management doesn’t have the absolute rights over the logo and design and Ravi Prakash can withdraw the lease as and when he wants and that is what he had done after the clash with the new management. He has not sold the logo to anybody else but has assigned it to Mojo TV for a short period for Rs 99,000 to be on the safe side,” sources said.

Having realised that it has no right on the logo, the new management is now planning to rename the channel and do re-branding of it, sources added.

YSRC out to disturb Naidu’s mental peace!

It looks like YSR Congress party does not want to allow its arch rival Telugu Desam Party president and leader of opposition N Chandrababu Naidu to have mental peace and sound sleep even after the defeat.

On Thursday, YSRC president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy hinted that some TDP legislators were in touch with him but he would not take them into YSRC unless they resign from their assembly membership.

He indicated that though he was capable of splitting the TDP and deny leader of opposition status to Naidu, he won’t do it.

“I will allow you to sit in that chair,” he said, thereby sending the message that Naidu would have to continue as leader of opposition at YSRC’s mercy.

On Friday, YSRC legislator Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy went a step ahead, stating that at least eight MLAs from TDP were in touch with his party.

“Among these eight TDP MLAs, two are in touch with me directly and all of them are ready to join YSRCP anytime,” he said.

He even said one of the TDP MLAs willing to join the YSRC was a powerful leader at the state level.

“He and other TDP MLAs are asking the party tickets in next assembly elections and also a priority in developmental works,” he said, but did not reveal who the MLAs want to join TDP were.

Kotamreddy further said not just MLAs, even a senior Rajya Sabha member was also in touch with the party for the last two months.

“Similarly, many TDP leaders at the grassroots level are also want to join YSRCP,” he asserted.

Definitely, such statements would disturb the mind of Naidu, who will now start enquiring as to who these prospective defectors are.

While Mahesh Babu is celebrating the success of “Maharshi” with his director Vamshi Paidipally in London, his fans are flooding the messages on social media with a strange request.

The fans are not happy with “Maharshi” even though the movie went to become one of the all-time highest grossers in Tollywood.

The other day, Mahesh Babu shared a photograph he took with director Vamshi Paidipally and his wife on the streets of London. Both their families together went on a vacation.

Mahesh Babu and Vamshi have become thick friends. Reports are that Mahesh Babu has also given nod to Vamshi’s next film.

Soon after Vamshi retweeting Mahesh Babu’s tweet, the superstar’s fans have started urging him to leave Mahesh now and move on to direct other stars. They seem to be unhappy with “message-heavy” movies.

“Eesari inka story vinakundane accept chesela unnadu ga Anna…Tiste full commercial bomma tiyyi,” a fan commented.

Another one echoed same: “Neeku…O Dandam….oka cult movie istavanukunna kaani adey message movie teesav… inkosaari movie cheyaku.”

Another fan directed this message to Paidipally: “Sir, I don’t know why every director who does commercial movies with other heroes do message oriented slow paced movies with Mahesh. If there is another project with Mahesh please use his complete potential as a commercial star or don’t do another movie with him.”

There are many such messages.

They want a pucca commercial film from Mahesh Babu and they don’t want him to team up with Vamshi Paidipally again.

Although the film grossed huge amount, he didn’t win praises from neither the critics nor general public. Summer holidays were the main reason for its collections.

Modi begins release of funds to AP!

The Narendra Modi government which had been turning a blind eye to the repeated requests of Andhra Pradesh government to release funds due to the state under various schemes and projects when Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu was the chief minister till recently, has suddenly started showing favours to the state.

Obviously, Modi was impressed by the new government headed by YSR Congress party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, who is inclining towards the Bharatiya Janata Party.

While Naidu was adopting a confrontationist approach towards Modi, Jagan began on a completely friendly note and even went to the extent of touching the Prime Minister’s feet.

So, naturally, Modi has relaxed all restrictions imposed on release of funds to the state.

According to reports, the Centre has released Rs 3,000 crore to Polavaram irrigation project, which had been pending for several months.

While Naidu could not get a single rupee from the Centre for the project despite repeated requests, Jagan could get the funds released within two weeks of coming to power.

The Centre also agreed to release the balance amount of Rs 1,929 crore due for the project, after the submission of utilization certificates.

Similarly, the Centre also agreed to release another Rs 708 crore under the employment guarantee scheme to Andhra Pradesh.

The funds, which would have been released during the Naidu regime, are now being released due to lobbying by Jagan.

A few days ago, the Centre released another Rs 534 crore to the state under food security scheme.

So, Jagan has achieved with love what Naidu could not due to hatred!

But things will not be easy for Saaho as another big film is going to clash with it, at the box office. It is Akshay Kumar’s, Mission Mangal. Mega Prince Varun tej escaped from a major danger a couple of days back when his car met with an accident. If we get into the story, Varun Tej’s car met with an accident on Wednesday night near Rayanipet stage of Vanaparthi district. But thankfully, the airbags have opened and Varun came out without any injuries.

Soon after the incident, Varun tweeted, “Got into a car accident and thankfully everybody is safe and sound. No injuries whatsoever. Thanks for the concern and your love!” His family, friends and fans were relieved knowing that he is out of danger. Without taking any rest, Varun got back to the shoot the next day.

The very next morning, Varun joined the sets of his upcoming film Valmiki, whose shooting is happening near Yaganti. Director Harish Shankar tweeted, “With the blessings of Lord Shiva of Yaganti Started shooting in this fantastic location….. #Valmiki @IAmVarunTej @Atharvaamurali @DoP_Bose @actorbrahmaji.” Anyways, it is good to see Varun showing such dedication towards work. Valmiki is slated to release on September 6.

In yet another shock to V Ravi Prakash, former chief executive officer of Telugu television channel TV9, the new management of the channel on Friday seized his luxury cars which cost several lakhs of rupees.

Alanda Media and Entertainment Limited which has taken over the management of the television channel approached the high court and submitted a petition that though Ravi Prakash ceased to be the CEO and director of the Associated Broadcasting Corporation Private Limited, he continues to keep the vehicles in his possession.

The high court, which heard the petition, agreed with Alanda’s argument and ordered that it could confiscate the luxury cars from the possession of Ravi Prakash as he was no more an employee of the channel, leave alone its CEO or director.

Immediately, the Alanda Media management sent its men to seize the cars of Ravi Prakash.

Meanwhile, his bail petition is expected to come up for further hearing on Monday.

MoS Kishan Reddy receives threat calls

Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home G. Kishan Reddy has received threatening phone calls from unknown persons, the Hyderabad Police said on Friday

Kishan Reddy, who received voice Internet calls on May 20, lodged a complaint with Cyber Crime police, which registered a case and launched the investigations.The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader provided to police the number from which the calls were made, threatening to kill him.

Kishan Reddy, who was elected from Secunderabad Lok Sabha constituency, was inducted in Modi cabinet on May 30. He had received threatening calls in the past also.

Meanwhile, police also registered a case against unknown persons making objectionable posts against Telangana Labour Minister Malla Reddy on the social media. The minister lodged a complaint that some unknown persons were making objectionable posts about him on Facebook and other social media platforms.

The police said they identified the IP addresses of those who were trolling him and making objectionable posts. A police officer said they were trying to trace the accused for further action.
