Chinmayi Sripaada faced trolls ever since the trailer launch of ‘Manmadhudu 2’ which is being directed by her husband Rahul Ravindran. The Playback Singer is vocal about the sexual harassment in the Film Industry and made headlines during the #MeToo Movement. She was trolled by Netizens pointing out 60-Year-Old Nagarjuna romancing Ladies not even half of his age in the romantic entertainer.
In response to a netizen, Chinmayi justified the casting by saying: ‘Indian Film Industry Heroes being cast with Heroines that should be as old as their kids is the norm. It didn’t stop, did it?’.
As the trolls continued, Chinmayi advised the Haters to end their sheer stupidity and attention-seeking tactics. ‘Not understanding context by so many Men is boring but so surprising. Get a grip. You will understand when the film releases,’ she commented.

Star Actress Charging 15 Crores For A Cameo
There is no doubt in saying that Deepika Padukone is the most popular actress in our country. In fact, she is also the highest paid heroine in the entire country. In a media interview in the past, Deepika said that she has no interest in doing cameos and will not sign any roles which don’t have any prominence.
But, Deepika broke her words as she now agreed to do a cameo in her husband Ranveer Singh’s upcoming film, 83. Ranveer is essaying the role of Kapil Dev in this vintage sports drama and Deepika will be essaying the role of Kapil’s wife Romi Bhatia in this movie.
Already, the shooting has begun in England recently and the star actress will be joining the sets soon. Baap Of Viral: Nara Lokesh In AP Assembly
Ex-minister and TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh’s dream to enter the assembly shattered after he lost in Mangalagiri. With TDP’s humiliating defeat, many thought Lokesh will take his own time to come before the media but he surprised everyone by arriving to the Andhra Pradesh assembly this morning.
Lokesh is an MLC, so he has all rights to be present at the premises of the assembly. However instead of going to the council session, Lokesh directly entered the assembly and sat down in TDP’s bench. This has surprised all the legislators present inside the assembly. What’s most awkward is YSRCP ministers and MLAs have rushed to Lokesh to greet him and spoke to him politely for couple of minutes.
Deputy CM Amjad Basha, education minister Suresh have shook hand with Lokesh while BJP MLC who always targets Chandrababu, Somu Veerraju was greeted ‘Namasthe’ by the TDP scion himself. Whatever it is, Lokesh has shown his new angle today in the assembly.
Game Over : Movie Review
Game Over is directed by Ashwin Saravanan of Mayuri fame. Taapsee Pannu played the female lead in it. It is a mix genre film targeted at the multiplex crowds.
What is it about?
Swapna (Taapsee) is a video game developer who is yet to recover from a personal tragedy. She develops suicidal tendency while a serial killer is on the loose. She also gets an information that she could be haunted by a spirit that enters her body in the most bizarre fashion.
Performances:
Taapsee has come a long way from playing a typical Telugu cinema heroine that runs around in skimpy clothes. Bollywood has given her an opportunity to find her true potential and good scripts are going in search of her. Taapsee is too good in the lead role in Game Over. She has excelled in getting the complex emotions right. Vinodhini Vaidhyanathan as her trusted maid is impressive. Anish as the therapist is aptly cast. Mala Parvathy is good in a limited role.
Technicalities:
Ashwin Saravanan has came up with a very original idea that has been executed tremendously well, especially in the latter half of the movie. The same cannot be said about the initial setup that moves at sluggish pace and too much thrown into a limited run time. That makes the screenplay confusing at times. He has not only extracted terrific performances from his principal star cast but also brought out the best from his technicians. This is a technician’s film with every key member from the technical crew raising their Game. Cinematographer wins the trophy though.

Analysis:
Game Over is a thriller with a different approach to it. We had seen n number of thrillers and horror films in the past, but Game Over is different from everything. It has a unique storyline and a clever storytelling that keeps the viewers invested in the film. The protagonist is a video game developer who plays video games in her free time. She plays Pacman game all the time trying to beat her previous best score. (Trivia: This game has three lifelines, which has a major role to play in the screenplay as well).
The protagonist is afraid of darkness as something very bad happened to her in the past. Now, she gets an information that she has been inked with someone’s ashes mixed in the tattoo ink. Does that mean she is possessed by a spirit? The tattoo keep intervening in her life at key points. But there isn’t enough evidence of a spirit’s presence around her. Then there is a serial killer who targets young women. The same person who also killed the person whose ashes are mixed in the tattoo ink that was used for the protagonist.
The protagonist is given hints about everything including the serial killer and then the Game begins. Now she has to face the serial killer who invades her home. Is he for real? Or is she dreaming? Or is she finding a way out of the depression? The film ends on a happy note, but it is also open ended, leaving many questions about what actually happened. The real thrill is guessing what would have happened in the film after it is over. This is inception level of screenplay, which will not appeal to majority audience. Critics will give it the thumbs up, but commercial success isn’t easy for films like these with very limited appeal.
Game Over is an intelligent thriller that keeps the viewers guessing all through. However, it takes its own sweet time to enter the thrill zone. First half is sluggish although it is engaging in parts. Bur the second half is slick and effective.

You Have Stooped Too Low, Says Varalakshmi To Vishal
Heroine Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and hero Vishal are said to be dating each other for years, though they maintained that they are just friends. Their friendship is to such an extent that even though Vishal fought against Sarath Kumar in 2015 Nadigar Sangam elections, Varalaxmi supported her friend only.
Though Vishal accused Sarath Kumar of misusing funds, Varalaxmi has attended the special event in Malaysia held in 2018 by Vishal’s team and helped them collect charity funds. However, now Varalaxmi has slammed Vishal for making a YouTube video that showcased her father Sarathkumar in a bad light. Surprisingly that video showcases even Varalaxmi’s dancing episode in Malaysia as well.
Shooting a big note on Twitter, Varalaxmi asked Vishal to speak about the good work he has done rather insulting her father to get some attention in the 2019 Nadigar Sangam elections campaign. She stated that Vishal has lost her vote and also felt that truth will prevail in the end.
Babu Say Sorry, Then Jagan Will Help
Nagari YSRCP MLA Roja has demanded an apology from TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu for failing to keep up the promises that he made to farmers in 2014 and ignoring after coming to power.
Then the Nagari MLA lashed out at Chandrababu. “TDP government did not fulfill not even its single election promises. From farmers to the unemployed, they have deceived everyone. Farmers debts grew multi-fold under TDP’s regime. If Chandrababu says sorry to Jagan and farmers in the assembly, then our CM Jagan will give clarity to farmers on fulfiling promises made by TDP government” said the firebrand leader.
She also slammed TDP for pressuring the AP government to fulfill the promises made by the previous government which is unethical. “CM Jagan knows how to assist farmers and will do everything needed for them,” stated Roja speaking to the media at assembly point.
Roja said she will be a trusted follower of AP CM YS Jagan and reports are untrue that she is upset for not getting cabinet berth. “I will handle any responsibility that Jagan assigns me to do to the best of my abiliites. Because of him, I did win as an MLA twice and I will be indebted to him. When Chandrababu put his all guns on me in the assembly, Jagan was by my side,” stated Roja.
Now, Chandrababu Hires PK To Defeat YS Jagan?
The current political situation in Andhra Pradesh has turned quite one-sided as YSR Congress is giving shivers to Telugudesam inside assembly as they are targeting Chandrababu Naidu big time. And it looks like, Naidu has taken this political embarrassment seriously and is willing to join with people he has scolded again, to make sure that 2024 will turn tides in his favour.
According to National media house News18, Telugudesam party President Chandrababu has offered a multi-offer contract to political strategist Prashant Kishor and his company IPAC. As the TDP boss strongly feels that PK’s immense efforts and strategies have led to Jagan’s landslide victory, he is now said to be showing interest to bring PK into Telugudesam fold.
Well, this is the same Chandrababu Naidu who has called PK as a dacoit from Bihar and also waged a Twitter war with him. While none from TDP or Indian PAC has commented on this so far, News18 quoted that highly placed sources who work with the TDP chief have given a clue about this.
Babu gone, money gets credited!
The Modi sarkar is extending its support to YSR Congress government in the state and on that note, it released an outstanding amount related to Employee Guarantee scheme. About Rs 708 crore are released on Friday and in the coming days, the centre is expected to credit another Rs 3000 crore.
The second installment of money is for the Polavaram project. The Central Water Resources department has sent suggestions to finance ministry that for the construction of Polavaram, funds should be released from NABARD.
Under Employee Guarantee scheme, Andhra Pradesh should get a total of Rs 2500 crore. The last TDP government has appealed to the centre to release the funds before elections. But due to Naidu’s wide publicity against Modi and BJP government at the national level, Modi sarkar delayed by deliberate excuses. Now that the government has changed in Andhra Pradesh and after results, Jagan had personally met Modi. The PM had offered full support to Jagan.
Overall the Modi government is trying its best to appease not only the state government but also the people of Andhra Pradesh. But what about the ‘Special Status’ to AP which is reckoned as a ‘Life Line.’ The BJP government has already clarified that there is no question of granting ‘special status’ to AP and we have to see how people of AP will get convinced with BJP government’s partial help.
Jagan Mama will take care of your Kids
AP CM YS Jagan has promised to bring remarkable changes in the next two years in the education domain. Jagan participated in the ‘Rajanna Badi Baata’ in Guntur on Friday and added that under ‘Amma Odi’ initiative, Rs 15,000 will be credited in each mother’s bank account who will send their kids to schools run by government.
Speaking Jagan said, “Just send your kids to ‘sarkari’ schools, the rest ‘Jagan Mama’ will take care. As part of my paadayatra, I learned about the struggles of every mother and sister in the state. As per 2011 population count, the illiterate rate was 26 in the entire country while in AP it is 33 percent. In the last government, schools did not have basic facilities like toilets, compound walls. Even students never had proper uniforms and books. Having seen all these, I made a promise to every mother and sister that I will take care of their kids education and will also credit above mentioned amount in a mother’s bank account. I’m happy today that it is getting fulfilled.”
There are about forty thousands schools in Andhra Pradesh. “Click a picture of every school and I assure you that in just two years, every school will be transformed into a corporate school with all the facilities. We will change all schools to English medium but will make sure Telugu is a must,” said Jagan and wished all the kids who were present at the venue, all the best!
YSRCP says 8 MLAs in touch, TDP dares to reveal names
YSR Congress party MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy said eight Telugu Desam MLAs are in touch with them and if Jagan accepts, they are ready to take up YSRCP flag by evening. “In the last two months, TDP Rajya Sabha MP is in talks with us and since a few days, nearly 8 MLAs are willing to join YSRCP. If Jagan says yes, they will join the party by the end of the day,” said Kotamreddy.
However, Kotamreddy added that all the eight MLAs are asking ticket for the next elections from now which is something our party needs to decide. Nevertheless, Kotamreddy refused to reveal the names of MLAs who are in touch with him and added that at ground level, TDP leaders are looking at YSRCP and they opine that TDP has no future in Andhra Pradesh.
In counter to YSRCP’s claims TDP MLA Payyavula Keshav has dared Kotamreddy to reveal the names of the cycle party MLAs. He called this as Jagan and YSRCP’s mind games and asked the TDP leaders not to fall in this trap.
Criticising Governor’s speech, Keshav said, there is no mention about development and capital city. This is not Governor’s speech, it is all about ‘Nava Ratnalu’ speech.AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has made strange statements in the assembly in his first ever speech. After Tammineni Sitharam was elected as Speaker of the Assembly, Jagan stood up to deliver his speech congratulating Tammineni.
“While electing the speaker, I recalled many incidents. This assembly has witnessed how unruly opposition MLAs were snatched by the previous ruling party. If I follow the same for political benefits, there won’t be any good that can survive in this assembly. Before coming to the assembly, few people have suggested me that if we can pull off five MLAs of TDP, the party will lose its status to get opposition status. I can do so but I’m not here to do such politics and there won’t be any difference between me and Chandrababu,” said Jagan.
Saying that the recent elections are the best example of democracy, Jagan added that the party which took our MLAs and MPs, got the same number of legislators and Parliamentarians. If at all any party MLA, MP or leader wants to come to us, they should resign to their constitutional position first or else the speaker should disqualify them immediately without any hesitation.
“Last assembly showed us how a leader of the house and speaker should not be so. This assembly will set an example as how a leader of the house and speaker should act with their constitutional powers,” said Jagan.
Janasena MLA Impresses Pawan Kalyan Fans
With Rapaka being the only MLA of Janasena party in the assembly, many wondered if he would ever get the chance to hold the mic. However, YS Jagan lead assembly floor made sure that all the parties in the house get represented and other day the Razole MLA spoke very well.
In the wake of YS Jagan raising the debate regarding Anti-Defection Bill, there is a huge war of words exchanged between YSR Congress MLAs and TDP MLAs. Especially many YSRC folks including Jagan are seeing ragging Naidu for the 23 MLAs that migrated from YSRC to TDP in the previous government’s regime.
Taking a jibe at this, Rapaka said in his speech, “Whether it is the ruling party or the opposition, there is no need for the war of words, but we have to discuss people’s issues” and greeted wishes for newly elected speaker Tammineni Sitaram.
He added, “It is a good sign that ruling party will be giving chance to the opposition and other MLAs though they have numbers in hand and could force all the opposition to sit silent”.
No doubt, Rapaka’s style of mingling with everyone and asking all the MLAs to work on people’s issues, has reminded many of Pawan Kalyan only. Wearing that Janasena towel around his neck, he brought the first ever recognition to the party in the assembly. Will, that makes Pawan’s fans happy? For sure!!

News is everywhere that the Overseas rights of Rajamouli’s upcoming magnum opus #RRR, which features superstars Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the leads, actually got sold out for a hefty price to a Dubai based company. But who will give the confirmation about this is the question now.
Dubai based Phars Film Co LLC is known for releasing various Malayalam and English films in the Gulf region including that of UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Qatar. Reports are now coming that this company has acquired the distribution rights of #RRR for all over the world, except India and China, for a price of Rs 65 crores.
Right now, this news is spreading everywhere but neither #RRR producer DVV Danayya, nor Phars Film Co LLC has confirmed it officially and about the numbers too. That makes many wonders how come the news got leaked, or this is just a publicity stunt to get attention for the movie?
Anyway, #RRR is 200+ crores mega-budgeted movie Rajamouli is making it prestigiously with two big stars. And this patriotic film is likely to release in as many languages in India as possible and might touch more than 500 crores pre-release business from satellite rights, digital streaming rights, and all others.
Mohan Babu In Suriya’s Next Film
Mohan Babu said to have bagged a crucial role in hero Suriya’s next film Soorarai Pottru. Touted to be a biographical film, the film is being directed by Sudha Kongara, of Guru fame.
The movie is based on the life of Air Deccan founder Captain GR Gopinath. Suriya will be seen as Captain GR Gopinath in the film while Mohan Babu has been cast for an important role. Mohan Babu is joining the film’s shoot from 14th June in Chennai. The film’s shoot is progressing at brisk pace.
Suriya’s home production 2D Entertainment itself is bankrolling the film. Since Sudha hails from Vizag, it is buzzed that the Soorarai Pottru would also be dubbed and released in Telugu. However, after series of debacles including the latest NGK, Suriya’s Telugu market has hit rock bottom. So, one has to wait for an official confirmation on Telugu release.
