Separate Governors for Telugu states?
If the reports coming from New Delhi are any indication, the National Democratic Alliance government at the Centre will appoint new Governors separately for two Telugu state soon.
The reports surfaced after the sudden visit of present Governor E S L Narasimhan, who is common for both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to New Delhi on Monday.
He met BJP national president and Union home minister Amit Shah and held discussions for over an hour.
Sources said Narasimhan had submitted a report to Shah on the state of affairs in both the states, indicating that there was a perfect harmony between the YSR Congress party government in AP and the Telangana Rashtra Samithi government in Telangana.
He told the Home minister that he had brought about a friendly relationship between the two chief ministers – Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and K Chandrasekhar Rao and resolved issues like dispute over government buildings in Hyderabad and river water sharing.
“We also discussed the issues related to the state bifurcation. Both the Telugu chief ministers are in good terms. Just like the government buildings in Hyderabad, the issue of joint AP Bhavan issue would also be resolved shortly,” he told media later.
However, Shah is understood to have indicated that the Centre might appoint a new Governor for Telangana shortly and Narasimhan could be confined to Andhra Pradesh. Otherwise, there would be a new Governor for AP as well.
Apparently, the BJP wants a person who is closer to the Centre in Telangana as the Governor as the party is eyeing to capture by next elections.
All said and done, the BJP leadership feels Narasimhan is closer to KCR and might not serve the BJP purpose. Hence, the change, sources said.
Rahul wants Naidu help revive Congress?
After the humiliating defeat of the Telugu Desam Party in the recent assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh, there has been a natural curiosity among political observers and also media as to what TDP president and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu would do in the coming days.
In the initial days of the election results, there was a talk that Naidu would give up his Kuppam seat and concentrate on safeguarding the party in the next five years.
Since he would be facing a lot of troubles from the new government headed by Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, he would also focus on his energies in escaping from these troubles.
However, Naidu decided to stay back in Amaravati, don the role of opposition leader and face the mighty YSR Congress party.
Apparently, that is the only way he can protect his party cadre and give them a hope that the party would regain its lost glory one day or the other.
At the national-level, however, there is little for Naidu to play any role as the Bharatiya Janata Party registered huge victory and the opposition parties in a shambles.
The Congress is in an irreparable shape, as it could get just one-sixth of seats what the BJP got in the parliament elections. And so, Naidu has no scope to bring all the opposition parties together again.
Now, the latest talk is that Congress president Rahul Gandhi is looking up Naidu to revive his party at least in Andhra Pradesh.
He reportedly called the TDP chief recently and suggested to him that both the TDP and the Congress work together in the coming days to take up agitations and dharnas on issues of public concern in the state.
But one wonders whether Naidu would get any additional benefit in working with the Congress, which got just 1.29 per cent of votes in AP, which is less than the votes polled under NOTA (1.48 per cent).
Moreover, it might lead to further dissensions in the party!
Yamini disowns FB comments against Jagan!
Andhra Pradesh Telugu Desam Party leader and official spokesperson Sadineni Yamini had become very popular in the mainstream as well as social media before the recent general elections with her pungent comments and sharp attacks on the YSR Congress party and other political rivals.
Naturally, Yaminin was under the attack from the YSRC leaders and was particularly a target of the social media workers of the YSRC and also the BJP.
After the election results, there is nothing for Yamini to comment against YSRC, which had received a huge mandate from the people and party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy became the chief minister. She has virtually gone into the silent mode.
On Monday, Yamini surfaced again and went to the state police headquarters to meet director general of police Gautam Sawang to lodge a complaint against certain people who allegedly created fake Facebook profile of hers and made abusive comments against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and also Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Apparently, the YSRC leaders have been attacking her following an alleged post made by her on the FB on Jagan’s attempt to touch the feet of Modi at Tirupati. She was heavily trolled by the Jagan fans with abusive comments.
In her complaint to Sawang, Yamini said she was unnecessarily being targeted for the mischief played by someone who created a fake Facebook page of hers and posted objectionable post on Modi and Jagan.
She urged DGP to find out who created this fake FB account and to take serious actions against them.
Kattappa Lashes Out On Rajini and Kamal
Popular actor Sathyaraj, who is predominately known for his role Kattapa in Baahubali, has made some sensational comments on star heroes Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan. Satyaraj said that there is no void in Tamil politics as stated by Kamal and Rajini and they don’t need to fill that imaginary nullified space.
He also said that parties like DMK and AIDMK are in the business for many years and they are doing what they can do for the public. Fighting against such big established parties is just stupidity. He clarified that there are many people to serve the public in politics and it is better if everyone minds their own work.
Both Kamal and Rajini is yet to respond on these heated comments of Sathyaraj. It is already known that Kamal failed big time by not winning a single seat in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections. On the other hand, Rajni is planning to contest in the upcoming 2012 Assemble elections of Tamil Nadu.

Title of Mega Hero’s Next Gets Fixed

Ram Charan Turning Over-Ambitious?
Megastar Chiranjeevi will soon come up with historical war drama, Syeraa Narasimha Reddy which is being directed by Surender Reddy. The film is being bankrolled by Chiru’s son, Mega Power Star Ram Charan. The film will be releasing worldwide on the 2nd of October.
Meanwhile, producer Ram Charan is apparently quoting heavy prices for the movie rights. He is expecting an amount of Rs. 90 crores for the pre-release business in Telugu states. Charan is planning to get around Rs. 120 crores with the overall theatrical rights of the movie.
Syeraa will also be released in various other languages. But, it might not get huge collections in those versions. Earning around Rs. 200 crores in Telugu alone will be a huge task for the film. Hence, it should get a fancy amount in the form of digital and satellite rights. As it is having a solo release, Syeraa has a good chance of earning that amount by getting positive word of mouth. Anyways, let’s see what happens.
Venky To Romance Her After 28 Years
A few days back, producer Suresh Babu has announced that he acquired the remake rights of recent Hindi film, De De Pyar De. he also stated that Venkatesh will be playing the lead role in it. Rakul Preet Singh and Tabu played the female lead roles in the original film.
Now, speculations are being made on the heroines of this remake. We hear that the makers are planning to rope in the same actresses for this film as well, as they are quite popular in Telugu too. Apparently, Tabu was already approached by Suresh Babu and the latter has given her nod.
If she signs the film, she will be reuniting with Venky after almost three decades. Their last film together was Coolie No: 1. On the flip side, Rakul Preet also expected to sign the film soon.
