Avanthi’s Overconfidence At Peaks
Looks like the exit polls’ predictions have got the YSR Congress party cadre in high spirits. It is learnt that the senior leaders in the party are still waiting for the May 23rd results to react to the actual scenario while some who recently defected from the Telugu Desam Party to the YSR Congress party are seem to be believing that they have already won. While most of the exit polls have shown the result in favour of YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh, these recently defected leaders are already lobbying for cabinet posts, it is heard.
Apparently, Avanthi Srinivas who defected to the YSRCP recently from TDP, had made a temple visit but wasn’t allowed inside the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. While he claimed that he is former MP and insisted on entering the sanctum sanctorum, he was stopped by temple officials. This hurt his ego and he wanted the Temple EO that he will soon deal with him when his party (YSRCP) comes to power.
Another incident where Avanthi Srinivas was seen warning a government official was when he visited the GVMC office in Vizag. When the GVMC Commissioner reminded him that model code is progress and hence, cannot serve the former MP, the YSRCP candidate got annoyed with the GVMC Commissioner and warned him that once his party comes to power, he will ensure that he deal with the government official. Following this, the GVMC Commissioner smiled at him and said “Namaste” with folded hands while Srinivas left the spot in rage.
Such cases of overconfidence may not bode well for the party as the final results are not out yet but the party candidates are behaving irresponsibly. Is this indicative of the kind of government that YSRCP will form? We don’t know that yet and will have to wait two more days.
13 days Prime Minister: Modi is not Vajpayee
In May 1996, India witnessed an epic moment in the Parliament when Atal Bihar Vajpayee’s first time brought him a floor test within 13 days of taking oath as India’s Prime Minister when BJP emerged as the single-largest party in Lok Sabha. But, with its 161 seats and Congress at 140, BJP was way short of halfway mark of 272 and Vajpayee was given two weeks by the President to prove his support in the house.
Despite all efforts from the group of BJP leaders who tried to woo smaller parties to join the BJP and support them, their efforts failed as they couldn’t cross 194 member-strength in the Parliament. A few minutes into the speech, Vajpayee said: “We bow down before the stronger alliance… but rest assured that we won’t rest until we finish the work we have begun in the nation’s interest,” following which he resigned as the Prime Minister, after losing the no-confidence motion.
Cut to 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Going by the kind of leadership Vajpayee offered the BJP, 23 years later, if one observes Modi-Shah’s style of leadership, one can see a complete contrast in the leadership style and moral responsibility towards party. Even if NDA falls short on numbers (despite the exit polls showing 300 plus seats for the BJP), there are chances that Modi-Shah could buy out MPs rather than resign in style like Vajpayee did.
As they say, desperate times demand desperate measures, Modi may have given a new direction to the party, but the party insiders still feel that morally and ethically, the party is changing according to the times. What Modi’s style of leadership also indicates is a whiff of arrogance coupled with immense self-belief that the BJP can make its “Akhand Bharat dream true,” unlike Vajpayee who believed that poaching candidates from other parties is an unethical move in politics. Well, Modi is definitely not Vajpayee!
Saaho Poster: Prabhas Confirms The Date
From a long time, Prabhas’ fans are eagerly waiting to find out the latest update from “Saaho” except some strong rumours that are doing rounds everywhere. Like we said already, Prabhas has today confirmed the same Independence day date for the movie.
Directed by Sujeeth of Run Raja Run fame, Saaho has today stunned everyone with the first ever official poster of the film. On his Instagram page, today Prabhas shared this poster, saying “Here it is darlings, for all of you… The new official poster of my next film Saaho. See you in theatres on 15th August! #15AugWithSaaho”.
The poster is rocking for sure with Hollywood kind of look and the date is also officially imprinted. With this, all rumours regarding delays and reshoots have to take a backseat for sure. Within the next couple of days, Prabhas might start the promotion campaign as well, as the movie is going to release in many languages including Telugu, Hindi and Tamil, all at once.
Shraddha Kapoor is the leading lady of the film, and surprisingly, the poster mentions no name of the music director.
Megastar Didn’t Agree To Tone Down His Role?
For Telugu cinema audiences, the most attractive element in Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is Megastar Chiranjeevi. But Megastar factor alone may not be enough to make the film work in other states. The film, which is being made a massive 200 Cr budget, should also be able to do huge business in other states to become a successful box-office venture. Most importantly, the makers want this perform like blockbuster ‘Baahubali-2’ in Tamil Nadu. Taking these business equations into the consideration, makers have roped in Nayanatara as lead actress and Vijay Sethupathi for a key role in the role.
According to our sources, the character of Vijay Sethupathi is going to be highly powerful. So, to lessen his domination, the writers and direction department of Sye Raa seems to have planned to subside his (Vijay’s) character slightly. When they conveyed the same to Chiranjeevi, the actor has disagreed to it.
Chiranjeevi, who knows well about the pros and cons of a cinema, has mentioned them that Vijay will be a main attraction to cinema, especially for Tamil audiences. The actor felt Vijay’s character will an advantage to film and reportedly said that he very much likes the acting of Vijay Sethupathi.
Furthermore, Megastar has suggested them not to make any changes to his role and he also has instructed them not to cut down any of his scenes at the time of editing. Going by Megastar Chiranjeevi’s instructions to his team, one can take it for granted that Vijay Sethupathi’s character will be a major highlight in the film.
Was That Nani’s Mistake With Jersey?

He should have visited many theatres, called in success meets, organized special shows for cricketers or some cricket playing kids, did more media interviews and many more. That stuff would have taken Jersey to a new club.
Perhaps Nani is not able to break into big revenue clubs because he is not promoting his films quite aggressively unlike others. For the kind of content he picks, acting he delivers on the screen, surely extended promotions are the key to get huge revenues.

He met farmers, students, engineers, doctors, fans and many, to talk about the greatness of “Maharshi” movie. As Mahesh and Vamsi Paidipally formulated and propagated the idea of ‘weekend farming’, many wondered if these two would also take up that.
But finally, Mahesh declared that he’s going for a much needed holiday to a foreign country. And that’s a surprise he’s not going to any farm and cultivate some land as the monsoon is set to arrive in next couple of weeks, says netizens.
Fire breaks out at Andhra counting centre
Amaravati: A fire broke out at one of the counting centres in Andhra Pradesh’s Tirupati town on Monday night, police said.
The incident occurred at an engineering college on the outskirts of the town where officials had set up tables and made other arrangements for counting of votes on May 23.
A fire engine rushed to the scene and brought the fire under control. Short circuit is believed to have caused the fire.
As the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) were stored in a strong room in nearby building, the incident sent panic among officials.
However, the officials said the fire did not spread to strong room and the EVMs were safe. District Collector P.S. Pradyumna and Superintendent of Police Vikrant Patil visited the counting centre.
Votes polled in April 11 elections to Andhra Pradesh Assembly and Lok Sabha are scheduled to be counted on May 23.
I am Not Genius Though I wear Glasses: Teja
“People assume I am genius due to my appearance as I wear glasses all the time. Truth is that that I have very ordinary mind. Not all people who wear spectacles are geniuses,” director Teja said in his characteristic manner while speaking at event of ‘Sita’ that is scheduled for release this Friday.
Teja who directed Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas for the first time and Kajal for the third time also admitted that his work in the film was not that great.
“However, everyone in the cast and crew gave exceptional output. Unlike his usual style of action stunts and dances, Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas has worked on acting here. You will see different Srinivas,” Teja praised Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas.
Continuing in the same breath, he said, “Kajal gave great performance in ‘Nene Raju Nene Mantri’ and she outdid herself in this movie. I might have irritated Mannara Chopra with my temperament but she gave good performance. Sonu Sood is beyond my expectations. Anup has given best background score. Perhaps, my work was average compared to their best output.”
There were reports that the film was reshot and it was the reason for the movie’s postponement from April to May 24. Teja agreed it was one of the reasons.
“After finishing the movie, I called on Parachuri Brothers and asked them to voice their brutally honest feedback. They did. After they pinpointing, I did reshoot and corrected all the mistakes.”
“Sita” that is produced by AK Entertainments has received good response from its trailer.
Naidu may relax in Singapore for few months if TDP loses?
TDP chief and AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu is planning to relax in Singapore for few months, if TDP loses AP Assemblhy polls on May 23.
Almost all the major exit polls have predicted TDP to lose AP Assembly polls to YSRCP.
If these exit polls prove right on May 23, when counting of votes takes place, nothing could be more worse for Naidu.
This is because, if exit polls prove right, a ‘triple shock’ awaits Naidu after May 23.
The first shock is Jagan becoming CM of AP, the second shock is Modi becoming PM for second term and third shock is KCR as CM of Telangana till December 2018.
Modi, KCR and Jagan are arch rivals of Naidu.
There is no way Naidu can live peacefully for the next five years as Modi will be at the Centre, KCR and Jagan in Telangana and AP.
In these circumstances, Naidu is planning to move to Singapore for few months, relax for a while till the dust settles down and come back to India to decide his future course of action,
Naidu faces the risk of facing several cases and jail as Modi, KCR and Jagan are keen to dig up old cases, unearth scams of Naidu, file CBI, ED, I-T cases and send him to jail.
Naidu is planning to shuttle between Hyderabad and Amaravathi for the next five years, if Jagan and KCR allow him to do so.

He takes in popular heroine as the main actress. In his current film with Allu Arjun, he has already finalized Pooja Hegde as the prime female lead.
Now he has given a major role to upcoming actress Ketika Sharma. She will be playing second heroine’s role.
Ketika first became popular with her Instagram photo shoots and videos and then landed in Puri Jagannadh’s son Akash Puri’s second film “Romantic”.
Ketika will be shaking a leg with Allu Arjun in couple of songs though the main romantic track will be on Pooja Hegde and Bunny.

Vivek apologises and deletes his tweet
And finally here comes an apology from Vivek Oberoi, who for all that you know, had come at the receiving end for sharing a ‘disrespectful’ meme featuring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Oberoi, who reportedly dated the actor-former Miss World in the early 2000s, posted a meme featuring her with husband Abhishek Bachchan, daughter Aaradhya and Salman Khan.
The meme was a take on the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the results of which will be declared on Thursday.
However, perhaps Vivek had a change of mind as he just took up to Twitter to not only delete the meme but also issue a public apology to everyone who got offended by his not-so-funny joke.
