Exit polls confirmed our prediction, says YSRCP
The YSR Congress Party on Sunday said the exit polls which predicted its victory in Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections had only confirmed what it had been claiming for last several months.
However, the party did not agree with the exit polls for Lok Sabha election. The poll gave gave it 13-15 out of 25 Lok Sabha seats in the state but the party said it was confident of winning 23 seats.
YSRCP leader Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said the exit polls broadly indicated the situation in the state. “They have confirmed what we have been saying for last several months,” he said.
Ramakrishna Reddy, who is political secretary to YSRCP chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, was confident that the party would get more seats than projected in the exit polls.
Three out of five exit polls predicted that the YSRCP will sweep the Assembly polls by winning 110-135 seats in the 175-member Assembly.
He said Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N. Chandrababu Naidu had admitted his defeat immediately after the polls by raising his doubts about the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).
On the exit poll of former MP L. Rajagopal predicting victory for the TDP, Ramakrishna Reddy said he had no credibility. He said Rajagopal had lost his credibility when his exit poll showed that Congress-led alliance will win Telangana Assembly elections in December last year but the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) emerged victorious with landslide victory.
According to Rajagopal’s exit polls, the TDP will win 90-110 seats while the YSRCP will bag 65-69 seats.
Exit Polls Predict Clean Sweep for BJP
The BJP-led NDA is set to return to power, according to most exit polls released on Sunday, with Congress-led UPA expected to fall far short of numbers to reach the half-way mark in the Lok Sabha elections.
The exit polls, released on the conclusion of seven-phase Lok Sabha election, also predicted that “others” will gain a significant chunk of seats ranging from 94 to 138.
Twelve of 14 exit polls predicted National Democratic Alliance getting a full majority with the range of seats going from 282 to 365. A party or an alliance needs 271 seats to form the government as Lok Sabha elections have been held on 542 of 543 seats.
The exit polls predicted United Progressive Alliance getting 82 to 165 seats. Six exit polls predicted that “other” parties were likely to get more seats than the the UPA.

Suriya’s Telugu Market Goes down !
Hero Suriya had a great Telugu market, all thanks to Gajini and there was no looking back for him since then. But of late, owing to Suriya’s poor choices, his Telugu market has got largely affected.
While his 24 movie (directed by Vikram K Kumar) was sold for whopping Rs 22 Crore in AP, Singam 3 (Yamudu 3) was sold for Rs 18 Crore. His next film Thaanaa Serndha Koottam (TSK) that released in Telugu as Gang (based on Hindi film Special 26) earned Rs 15 Crore for its Telugu theatrical rights. The latest is that the Telugu theatrical rights of Suriya’s NGK which is being released with the same name in Telugu has been bought for 9 Crore by Radhamohan of Sri Sathya Sai Arts.
This clearly indicates the steep fall in the theatrical business of Suriya’s films in Telugu. It’s high time, Suriya should concentrate on his Telugu market and choose films accordingly. He should consider the films that have universal appeal in order to satiate his fans, cutting across languages and regions.

Homam Performed for Pawan Kalyan’s Win
A homam praying for the win of Pawan Kalyan in the polls was conducted by spiritual guru Narasimham who is close to Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram. This did happen sometime back but the news got leaked out now.
This spiritual guru regularly does poojas for Trivikram and his friends.
As Pawan Kalyan contested from two assembly seats – Gajuwaka and Bhimavaram and reports came out that his win would not be easy, the homam was conducted to ward off ‘evil eye’ and seeking vijayam.
It is said that costly items like Rs 50 thousand worth Sari, gold and silver jewellery and precious stones were offered in the poornahuthi as part of ritual of the homam.
Pawan Kalyan and his team have been saying that his Jana Sena party will win minimum 25 seats. If his party really bags such great number of seats, then the homam guru will be honored handsomely.
Vijay Deverakonda turns HERO
Happening hero Vijay Deverakonda is in a signing spree. His new film is officially launched few minutes back and this film is titled ‘HERO.’
Anand Annamalai will be directing the movie while Malavika Mohanan of ‘Petta’ fame is going to pair with Vijay Deverakonda.
MLA Gottipati Ravi Kumar and director Koratala Siva have graced the launched event as chief guests. Koratala clapped the sound board for the first scene and also handed over the script to the makers while MLA switched on the camera.
Pradeep Kumar will be composing music for this film which is touted to be a musical thriller on the backdrop of sports drama. This genre is first for Vijay Deverkaonda.
Mythri Movie Makers will bankroll ‘HERO’ and this is Vijay Deveraonda’s second film with the leading production house.
Rich Telangana rides on Car, Poor AP rides Cycle: Lagadapati
A day ahead of final phase of polls, Andhra Octopus Lagadapati indicated about his survey results. The former Congress leader spoke to the media journalists, a little while ago, to tell there is no possibility for hung. Considering the code of conduct in existence, he only threw some hints without mentioning any numbers.
Indicating that TDP and TRS will dominate in AP and Telangana, Lagadapati said: “Being a cash rich state, Telangana people decided to ride on Car and Andhra being a budget deficit state will ride on Cycle.” He further added that the new government with a clear majority to a single party. Answering to a media journalist question, he said “I do not have association with any of the parties and also met Jagan’s family when Vivekananda Reddy was killed.”
Lagadapati announced that his survey results will be announced tomorrow in Tirupati and added that it will be the final test to his credibility. It is known the retired politician was criticised after he exit poll prediction (Congress-TDP victory) went wrong for Telangana assembly polls.
Agreeing that Pawan Kalyan’s effect is very much there on polls, Lagadapati said ‘Powerstar will not deliver a better performance than his brother Megastar. But, I can confirm that Pawan Kalyan will enter assembly in Velagapudi for sure.’

Geetha Arts Still Cooking A Story For Mahesh
So far there is neither any official update nor any word of it, but film industry folks are strongly believing that the combination of Mahesh Babu and Allu Arvind is going to materialise big time. Here comes another interesting snippet about it.
Long back, there is a buzz that director Parasuram is actually preparing a story for Mahesh and later he has narrated to him as well. But later, there is not much talk about this. The latest update is that actually, the Geetha Govindam fame director has developed a social message oriented action film for Mahesh and the hero liked it immensely.
Currently, Geetha Arts along with Parasuram is said to be cooking this story for a finer detail such that they could meet Mahesh once he returns from summer holidays. And if everything goes well, Mahesh will be doing this film after her wraps Anil Ravipudi’s movie for 14 Reels.
Meanwhile, Mahesh is still busy promoting Maharshi as he visited a couple of engineering colleges other day.
Mega hero’s debut gets a heroine!
Megastar Chiranjeevi’s nephew Panja Vaisshnav Tej will mark his debut with the film ‘Uppena.’ This film was launched in a grand manner sometime back and now it is gearing up for the shoot.
With the shoot set to begin, the makers have locked the female lead after a lot of selection process. Finally they locked a south beauty and she is Krithi Shetty from Mangalore.
Like the hero, this is also the debut of Krithi. Tamil star hero Vijay Sethupathi is going to be seen in pivotal role in this film which is touted to be a love story.
‘Uppena’ will be directed by Buchi Babu Sana, an assistant of director Sukumar. The regular shooting will kick start from May 25th.
