Modi Men Foil pro-TRS Farmers’ Plans!

Share

The attempt by turmeric farmers from Telangana to file bulk nominations against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh was thwarted by the local police, officials and Bharatiya Janata Party workers on Monday.

Modi’s followers have got the inputs from central intelligence authorities that those who had come to Varanasi to file nominations against Modi were not actually farmers, but were Telangana Rashtra Samithi workers. A couple of them are officially nominated as party leaders in Nizamabad.

That they were the TRS workers was evident from the informal media note issued by the TRS leaders on the denial of permission to them from filing their nominations.

Around 50 contestants from Telangana and 50 others from Tamil Nadu wanted to file the nominations, but the officials could accommodate only 15 of them, who are said to be genuine farmers.

So, it was obvious that the TRS leaders in the name of so-called turmeric farmers sought to create embarrassment to Modi by filing nominations.

Had the authorities accepted all the nominations, the polling officials would have been compelled to use jumbo EVMs or ballot boxes to conduct the polling. More than the tedious exercise of polling, it would have been a major embarrassment to Modi himself.

So, right from the day one, the police, officials and local BJP leaders hounded the farmers.

The farmers staged dharna in front of circuit house in Varanasi against local police and Election Commission for not letting all the farmers to file nomination.

They also alleged that the local police threatened their local supporters who came forward as nominees for filing the nominations against Modi.

They also alleged that the intelligence cops were tracking their movements. The EC authorities were reluctant to give nomination papers as a result of which they had to hire a lawyer to see that they get the nomination papers.

RRR: Hunt for Foreign Girl is On

Share

It has become a big head-ache for the team “RRR” that features NTR and Ram Charan as the two warriors to find a foreign actress.

After London-based actress Daisy walked out of the movie for her other acting commitments, Rajamouli’s casting director is desperately searching for another beautiful foreign actress who could step in.

They are looking for a petite beauty who would look right pair opposite NTR. Remuneration is another issue.

Meanwhile, the team reportedly finalized Nithya Menen as the another female lead in the film. Alia Bhatt is playing the role of Seetha, wife of Alluri Seetharama Raju.

Ram Charan is essaying the younger version of Alluri Seetharama Raju in the film while NTR will be seen young Komaram Bheem, another warrior who rebelled against Nizam rule.

Legend is that Komaram Bheem married three women. Nithya Menen will be playing one of his wives’ roles. But main focus would be on the romance of NTR and the foreign girl.

“RRR” is being made with whopping budget of Rs 350 Cr in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam languages. Ajay Devgn will essay key role.

DVV Danayya is producing this mega patriotic drama.

RGV desperate for publicity to Lakshmi’s NTR!

Share

The huge controversy over the police highhandedness in preventing controversial film make Ram Gopal Varma from entering Vijayawada and addressing a press meet at the NTR statue in the city is being viewed as yet another publicity gimmick by the director.

Varma has finally got the court nod for the release of his much-talked about film Lakshmi’s NTR in Andhra Pradesh on May Day.

But he was well aware that the film has already lost its steam, since the elections to Andhra Pradesh assembly are over and it does not serve any purpose in releasing the film.

Secondly, the film has already been released in Telangana and majority of the people from urban areas of Andhra had already viewed it and given their verdict.

The pirated version has already been in circulation in the Andhra and so, there is no other commercial value for the film now. And thus, the film has failed to generate any kind of enthusiasm among the Andhra audience.

Under these circumstances, Varma knows the film will not have a great run in Andhra theatres even it is released now. So, he needed a big controversy to draw the crowds to the theatres.

The director is trying to blame Chandrababu Naidu for the police over-action in preventing him from entering Vijayawada, while the TDP leaders have been crying from roof tops that the Election Commission has virtually taken away Naidu’s powers.

The police are now under the control of the Election Commission and even if Naidu gives directions to the police to stop Varma from entering Vijayawada, the EC can always counter him by instructing the police to allow him.

The fact is that when the model code of conduct is in force, the EC cannot allow any press conferences on controversial issues.

The police clearly said they were bound by the EC rules. If Varma felt injustice was done to him, he could have approached the EC rather than blaming Naidu.

But all that he wants is publicity for his film!

KCR Not To Back NDA After Polls?

Share

All these days, there has been a talk that the federal front of regional parties being proposed by Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is nothing but a Team “B” of the National Democratic Alliance headed by Bharatiya Janata Party.

The Congress party was alleging that KCR had been trying to split the pro-Congress regional parties and attract them in the name of federal front only to weaken the Congress thereby benefiting the Narendra Modi-led NDA government.

Except making political criticism during electioneering, KCR has not taken up any aggressive campaign against Modi or the BJP, unlike his Andhra Pradesh counterpart and Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu who has been moving heaven and earth against Modi across the country.

This has led to the talk that KCR might join the NDA government after the elections, if the BJP-coalition comes to power.

However, the latest information from the party is that KCR, too, is not willing to join hands with the BJP.

In the event of the BJP-led coalition falls short of majority, KCR will not extend support to it nor will other federal front partners like YSR Congress or Biju Janata Dal.

According to a national media report, even if the federal front was to form the government, it will not seek the support of the BJP, but if necessary, will request the Congress to support it as had happened in 1996.

In a bid to project himself as anti-BJP or anti-Modi, KCR is planning even to approach the Left parties and request them to join the federal front.

He is likely to go to Kerala in a day or two to meet the Left front leaders. From there, he will be go all the states where regional parties are strong and mobilise their support to the federal front, the national media report said.

Joke: Allu Sirish is Crossover Star!

Share

This is another example how awards are bought or bagged using influence.Allu Sirish, younger brother of Allu Arjun, did play a small role in a Malayalam named “1971 Beyond Borders” that starred superstar Mohanlal. The film bombed at the box-office.

For this minor role, Allu Sirish has been awarded the “Crossover Star of the Year” at Lulu Fashion Week 2019 in Kochi. It is said that this award is given as a recognition for his work in “1971 Beyond Borders”. With this the whole phrase of “crossover cinema or artist” has become a joke.

Allu Sirish has not tasted big success in Tollywood so far. He is yet to get any recognition as “star material” here and he got recognition as “crossover artist”.

It is evident that he was awarded for his connections with the Lulu Group.

‘Paala Pitta’ from Maharshi: A sweet folk

Share

Whenever we hear a folk song, it will definitely have a mass sound and the protagonist exhibits his over the top dancing skills. But that’s not true folk, it’s commercialised folk and bringing back the glory of this old styled song culture, ‘Paala Pitta’ from ‘Maharshi’ is a perfect example.

The song has a smooth beat and the vocals of the singers are subtle yet it conveys the feelings of the protagonist and the female lead towards each other. The lead pair Mahesh Babu and Pooja Hegde are seen in colourful costumes and for this kind of sweet romantic folk number, sensible dance moves are required instead of some trademark steps. The lyrical video too shows the same.

After not so catchy tunes, ‘Rockstar’ Devi Sri Prasad delivers probably the best song from ‘Maharshi’ album. Shree Mani’s lyrics are pretty good with simple and neat words. Singers Rahul Sipligunj and MM Manasi did a fantastic job by fine tuning their base voices and that’s the beauty of this song.

‘Maharshi’ is directed by Vamshi Paidipally and is releasing on May 9th.

Is Nani Turning Villain In 25th Film?

Share

In a short span, hardworking and one of the dedicated actors in Telugu industry, Natural Star Nani has truly achieved a feat that many contemporary Telugu heroes struggle to reach. He’s touching that 25th film mark now, and it is going to be a shocker more than a celebration for his fans if we have to believe reports.

Today when the logo look poster of “V”, directed by Mohan Krishna Indraganti, is released, many got stunned to see that the poster has only names of Sudheer Babu, Nivetha Thomas and Aditi Rao Hydari. However, it was later revealed that the film is the 25th movie of Nani.

And then, Nani has given enough indications about his role, as he said, “Indraganti introduced me as a Hero in my 1st film. Today he is all set to introduce me again in my 25th film. But this time, It’s different”. Sharing the poster, he further wrote on Twitter, “Your friendly neighbourhood
badass joins the party”.

Well, isn’t that a sort of indication that Nani is playing a villain in the movie? Though earlier he played such role in Jenda Pai Kapiraju (double action as hero and villain), somehow it didn’t work. Let’s see what happens now.

Jagan Garu, Meeru Chestunna Comedy Enti?

Share

“Our democracy is in a situation where we can’t hold a press conference in Vijayawada. They are using police as their personal servants. Is this what democracy means” questioned YS Jagan, through his tweet, giving supporting to filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma. He further added, “Chandrababu garu, Ram Gopal Varma chesina tappenti??”

In the wake of Andhra Pradesh cops detaining Ram Gopal Varma and his Lakshmi’s NTR producer at the airport, saying that they can’t hold a press conference as the election code is in place, it looks like YS Jagan has taken the side of Varma. But then, Jagan’s comments are actually creating loads of fun in social media.

Because right now Election Commission and Chief Secretary are the ones who are literally running the government but not Chandrababu Naidu. As a caretaker CM, he will not be holding so many powers to control the police force and use like a ‘bantrothulu’ like how Jagan said in his tweet. Looks like the opposition leader has forgotten whom to blame at this point of time.

Well, until May 23rd, it looks like YS Jagan will continue bashing Chandrababu. Anyway, in this particular context, people are now asking: “Jagan garu!! meeru chestunna comedy enti?”

Buzz: Jersey Girl Ups Her Price Immediately

Share

Some heroines take time to make the right movies, but once done, they are going to emerge as the costly ones. And that’s how even Bangalore girl Shraddha Srinath is planning her moves now.

The super success of Jersey has amassed huge name for this hot girl who has earlier stunned the south audiences with her appearance in the original U-Turn movie. Since then she’s trying to make her mark felt in Tollywood but somehow her films with the likes of Aadi have got delayed. And finally, she debuted with Nani’s Jersey movie.

We are hearing that Shraddha charged only 20 lakhs for her movie with Nani, but now she’s said to be demanding a bomb. As Dil Raju approached her for his next where Naga Chaitanya is the hero, the actress is said to have quoted 70 lakhs. Currently, discussions are going on regarding her remuneration part, while she is almost finalised for the role.

The likes of Samantha, Kajal, Tamanna have all done the same- increase the pay packet after a hit falls in the kitty. So Shraddha is not new for the film industry.

Not An Easy Election For Bhuma family?

Share

Ever since the death of Bhuma Shobha Nagi Reddy, the Bhuma family has weakened. After this, her daughter Bhuma Akhila Priya was elected as Allagadda MLA unanimously. However, what came as a blow was the death of Bhuma Nagi Reddy after which his daughter Bhuma Akhila Priya was also given a ministry in the AP Cabinet. Following the death, another Bhuma scion, Bhuma Bharmananda Reddy contested the by-election from Nandyal and won.

However, this election was different for the Bhuma family. The Bhuma heirs had to market themselves hard to get the Allagadda and Nandyal seats to contest from, from the TDP Chief. This is also the first election the Bhuma heirs will be facing without their parents. The fight in Allagadda and Kurnool has been an interesting one because the ones standing against the Bhuma family also are two strong and well-establish families with considerable political clout.

In Allagadda, the Gangula Prabhahakar Reddy’s son, Gangula Nani had contested against Akhila Priya. The Gangula family has a great stronghold in the constituency from the last 40 years. Since 1985, the constituency has always witnessed a tough fight between Bhuma and Gangula families. Of this, the Bhuma family won the election most of the time but Gangula family has never given up.

Despite Akhila Priya enjoying sympathy from people and sanctioning works for the constituency and developing it, there has been news that she has not been available for people. On the other hand, Gangula Nani’s candidature was finalised two years ago by YSRCP President Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy, following which Nani developed a good connect with the people in the constituency. It is believed that there will be only slight difference in the majority as it with be a tough fight between Nani and Akhila Priya.

Interestingly, in Nandyal too, the fight is between two young guns. While Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy won the by-election with a great margin, the assembly contest this time will be tough as YSRCP’s Shilpa Mohan Reddy’s son Shilpa Ravichandra Kishore Reddy is contesting. Apparently, there is negativity for Brahmananda Reddy in the constituency as the promises made during by-election have not been fulfilled.

However, the Nandyal contest relies heavily on Jana Sena candidate Sridhar Reddy on how he would split the margin of these two candidates. With such a tough fight from YSRCP on card for Bhuma family young politicians, speculation is rife that Bhuma family could lose one seat in such a neck-to-neck contest in both the constituencies.

‘Get Ready For Lakshmi’s NTR Sequel’

Share

Director Ram Gopal Varma is crying foul against TDP government and Andhra Pradesh Police for not allowing him to host press meet to speak about his movie ‘Lakshmi’s NTR.’

RGV called on the press in Hyderabad earlier in the day and talked about what all had happened on Sunday in Vijayawada. When asked when he would host another press meet in Vijayawada, RGV replied that if that big man doesn’t stop, he would very soon call the local media over there.

Then RGV joked when a pressperson asked what he did in airport for seven hours. “You seemed to be very enthusiastic what I did in airport for seven hours. Well, I completed the script of ‘Lakshmi’s NTR’ part 2 and it is about the drama behind ‘Lakhmi’s NTR’ release,” said RGV. The journalists thought RGV was serious about it but the maverick director was quick enough to clarify that he is joking.

Uff! Thank god, RGV had cleared the air about part 2 of ‘Lakshmi’s NTR’ if not our media could speculate unimaginable things about it.
