Prime Minister Narendra Modi campaigned in Kurnool on Friday and at this very meeting, YSR Congress supporters and workers were spotted in good number. Being the Prime Minister’s show, the police have made arrangements on large scale. They checked each and everyone who entered the arena.
In checking, the police have caught YSRCP flags and scarfs from pockets of few people. They were asked to leave them aside and allowed inside the arena. Then there were YSRCP flags at few barricades. Surprisingly the BJP workers or leaders did not object even after noticing YSRCP flags.
At a time when the ruling TDP is alleging about a nexus between BJP and YSRCP, this gives speculations that there is something brewing between the two parties. YSRCP is completely silent on BJP and not even once Jagan raised the topic of Modi for denying ‘Special Status.’
Praja Shanthi Party chief KA Paul has made shocking and sensational allegation. He has claimed that the B-Forms of his party have been “stolen” and he alleged the activists of TDP and YCP behind the act.
Paul has met the officials in the Election Commission, Delhi and said that the activists of TDP and YSRCP have attacked his staff “physically” and then allegedly “fled” with the B-forms. Paul has demanded for a strict action in the matter. Paul has demanded the EC to postpone the elections in Andhra Pradesh owing to the “theft” of B-forms of his political party.
What’s further shocking is that Paul has alleged that 35 TDP candidates and 11 YCP candidates are contesting in the election on Praja Shanthi Party. Paul said those who are contesting on PSP doesn’t belong to him. He demanded for the postponement of elections. He said nearly 1 Crore youth voters would abstain from voting if the elections are not postponed. Paul blamed the “negligence” of a few higher officials in the EC for the issue and asked for the postponement of elections.

Within two days after TRS winning Assembly elections for second time in December last with a big majority, TRS chief and CM KCR elevated his son as TRS working president.
KTR was given the task of strengthening the party for upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
Ironically, instead of focussing on strengthening party at the grass root level, KTR as working president focused more on encouraging and engineering defections in Opposition parties.
This shows that KTR wants ‘vertical growth’ of TRS in a speedy manner rather than ‘horizontal growth’, which takes time and requires patience and hard work.
KTR admitted 11 MLAs from Congress, 2 MLAs from TDP into TRS in his three-month tenure as working president and strongly believes that he made TRS stronger with these defections.
But the ground reality seems different as people seem disgusted at TRS making a mockery of democracy by encouraging defections even after people giving absolute majority to TRS on its own in Assembly elections.
This resentment among voters was reflected in recent MLC elections, where all the three candidates supported by TRS faced an humiliating defeat at the hands of Opposition parties.
This defeat raised a debate in TRS circles whether KTR as working president is a ‘plus or minus’ to TRS in upcoming LS polls.
TRS leaders and cadre believe that KTR should focus on the ‘healthy growth’ of TRS rather than resorting to ‘unhealthy ways’ of encouraging defections and opting for ‘short cut methods’ to achieve results faster, which don’t sustain in the long run.
They think if KTR does not mend his ways, he will only prove to be a ‘minus’ for TRS in the coming days.
Former Indian model and actress, Pooja Hegde, is undoubtedly going places in South industry with her matchless acting talent. Even in the North, her popularity did not dip despite giving a flop film like Mohenjo Daro. Currently, the actress is all busy with her upcoming flick called Maharshi, opposite Mahesh Babu.
Pooja has now landed on the cover of one of the most popular selling magazines in India, Femina. She was seen in a jacket, stone studded bralet and a skirt under renowned designers label, Anamika Khanna and Rajdeep Ranawat. The Rhinestone studded bra has just added whimsy to her whole appearance.
Pooja looked no less than a beauty goddess in a stylish bra paired with a kalamkari printed skirt. The combination looks quite trendy and unique. This intriguing photshoot has the actress with a slight-hint of nude lip color and shimmery eyeshadow making the whole makeup, a top-notch effort.
She also wore a magnificent jacket with a heavy embriodery work. The picture is definetly worth talking about as the actress sat relaxedly with plush pillows beside. A big kudos to the photographer for transforming the whole picture into a scintillating Indo-western look.
Vijay Deverakonda became a heartthrob of many young Bollywood heroines including Janhvi Kapoor and Kiara Advani. The film ‘Arjun Reddy’ attained cult status for its making and content, parallelly made the actor Vijay Deverakonda super popular.
Arjun Reddy is being remade in Bollywood and Tamil with different actors. Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani are playing the lead roles in Bollywood version ‘Kabir Singh’ and here is the beautiful ‘Preethi’ of remake version throwing a blushy pose with the original ‘Arjun Reddy’ at last night’s Hindustan Times Stylish Awards.
Kiara must be waiting to act with Vijay Deverakonda in a film and let us see if it happens anytime soon.
In November last, Telangana chief minister president K Chandrasekhar Rao performed Raja Syamala Yagam, a Hindu ritual which used to be performed by kings for victory in wars, at his farmhouse at Erravelli in Siddipet district.
The yagam was performed under the auspices of Sri Swamy Swaroopanandendra Saraswati of Saradha Peetham.
The Telangana Rashtra Samithi president believed that such a yagam would fetch him victory in the elections.
As he wished, the TRS achieved tremendous victory in the December 7 assembly elections by winning 88 out of 119 assembly seats in the state. Its tally has now gone up to 101 now due to defection of opposition MLAs.
Taking a cue from KCR, YSR Congress party headed by Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, also performed Raja Syamala Yagam for three days starting from March 27 to 29.
The Yagam, seeking divine blessings to him for achieving victory was held at Nellore under the auspices of the same Sarada peetham seer.
A total of 27 Ritviks participated in the ritual. The yagam concluded with “poornahuthi” (offering ghee and other material to the flames) on Friday afternoon.
Though Jagan and his family members did not attend the yagam, it was supervised by YSRC’s Rajya Sabha member Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy.
May be, the yagam will bring good luck to Jagan, too, as it did for KCR!
Bollywood bombshell Amyra Dastur made a very soft debut in Telugu film industry with Manasuku Nachindi.
She played a conservative girl next door in the movie, which didn’t give her scope to showcase her hotter side.
She didn’t take much time to get noticed with that cute face and a hot body.
Although Amyra didn’t find success on the screen, she is setting the temperatures soaring off it with crazy hot photo shoots.
While the Modi government claims that the GDP has increased at 7% for this year, some leading economists and statisticians dispute this claim.
They allege that the norms followed for calculating GDP growth rate have been tweaked to suit the needs of the establishment and that actual GDP growth is far lesser as evidenced by increasing unemployment across the country.
If what the critics say is indeed right, then the Modi government has only itself to blame.
It’s foolhardy enterprise of demonetization destroyed the informal sector and is reflecting in the current GDP numbers which may have prompted government agencies to paint a far rosier picture.
And here’s the amusing (or sorry) statistic: currency in circulation today is more than what it was prior to demonetisation. So, what does this indicate? That people have money with them which they are no longer depositing in banks as they lost confidence in the latter.
Therefore, the banks are running short on money to lend to corporates which can boost economic activity.
The onus thus falls on the Reserve Bank once again to inject some much-needed liquidity into the system to boost economic activity. How does the RBI do that? By printing more money!
Such solutions cannot tackle the root of the problems. But the BJP will never admit that demonetization was a failure because no political party will own its blunders.
But demonetization did indeed serve one purpose: helping the BJP win the Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls by stripping the Opposition of cash. In that sense, demonetisation has fulfilled its objective.
What about the suffering of the common man? Well……..does anyone really give a damn?
Natural Star Nani has undergone rigorous training to play the role of Arjun, a cricketer in Jersey. He underwent hard training for seventy days before facing the camera with his cricket kit.
Nani’s training has paid off which is evident from the making video titled Journey of Jersey. Many professional cricketers have been a part of the film.
A crew of over 250 members worked for Jersey to make it look like an authentic sports drama.
Directed by Gautam Tinnanuri, Jersey is bankrolled by Sitara Entertainments. The film is set to hit the marquee on April 19. The buzz around Jersey is getting bigger by the day.
TRS chief and Telangana CM KCR faced the biggest insult of his political career on Friday, when he was forced to cancel the TRS election meeting at LB Stadium in Hyderabad due to poor turnout of crowd.
This incident turned out to be a huge embarrassment for KCR and TRS.
Despite being a ruling party and majority of the MLAs and corporators in GHMC limits belonging to TRS, they failed to mobilise sufficient crowds to make CM’s programme a success.
KCR was supposed to address the meeting after his Miryalaguda meeting on Friday. KCR proceeded from Miryalaguda to Hyderabad to reach LB stadium.
He came to know that there was no big crowd in the stadium and the stadium was not even half-filled by then.
This angered KCR, who refused to address the meeting and headed straight to Pragathi Bhavan. Shocked TRS leaders later announced cancellation of the meeting citing ‘unavoidable circumstances’.
The meeting was organised for Secunderabad, Malkajgiri and Chevella Lok Sabha constituencies.
Of this, Secunderabad and Malkajgiri are represented by ministers Talasani Srinivas Yadav and C Malla Reddy.
Though ministers, TRS MLAs and corporators arranged many buses and other vehicles to transport people, there was not much response.
This is for the first time that KCR was forced to cancel his public meeting due to lack of crowd at the venue.
CM reportedly took ministers, TRS MLAs and corporators to task for their failure in mobilising people even after his schedule was announced a week ago.
This incident naturally came as a good opportunity for Opposition parties to mock at TRS.
Opposition leaders said LB stadium incident clearly confirmed that the ‘downfall of KCR and TRS has begun’, which started with TRS supported candidates losing all the three seats in recent MLC polls.
As a part-time politician, he said the Jana Sena was only to question the establishment. Of course, the only Party he has been questioning since then is YSRCP. Now, after deciding to contest the election, Pawan Kalyan’s goal has changed from questioning the establishment to ‘becoming the Chief Minister’.
While there is nothing wrong in that goal, the people actually are preoccupied with a more interesting topic: “In how many seats will the Jana Sena get its deposit back?”Besides, Pawan Kalyan himself is contesting from Bhimavaram and Gajuwaka. Bhimavaram is not unlike Vijayawada.
In Vijayawada, the Kammas had the money and the Kapus had the majority. In Bhimavaram, we merely substitute the Kammas with the Rajus and they will definitely not endorse Pawan Kalyan, especially given the recent fan wars between Prabhas and Pawan Kalyan Fans’ associations.
In order to salvage his reputation, Pawan must definitely win from either Bhimavaram or Gajuwaka failing which, it could be the curtains on Jana Sena and a journey back to the film studios in Hyderabad.
